Many modern day institutions stipulate that unless a candidate has a proven family, educational, and financial background, admission is not given. They do not believe that without the above, a candidate can succeed in any prestigious college or aspire for any coveted position such as IAS or IPS.

Here at Datta Peetham it has been proven that despite a lack of Vedic background and financial strength, students can indeed perform well. Such is the case with Vamshi Krishna and several other students. Vamshi’s parents and grandparents on both sides are sharp and intelligent, although they were not into Vedic studies. When he was a young boy, while suffering from fever, he insisted to his parents one day that they bring him to Swamiji. They did so, and while still feverish, Vamshi told Swamiji that he would like to come away and stay with him. This occurred in the presence of the sacred padukas of Sri Narasimha Saraswati in Machilipatnam. Sri Swamiji blessed him and accepted his request. Kuppa Krishnamurty had the faith, as the educational administrator that Sri Swamiji’s grace alone is sufficient to make a mute person speak, nay, even chant the Vedas.

There are several students who have been admitted to this Veda school here, who have been known to be lazy, slow, and dull. Some lacked clarity of speech. However, with inspiration and blessing given by Swamiji they have overcome their weaknesses and have performed well. There were occasions when Swamiji simply told them to leave. But they would come back and prove their mettle. Prashant is one such. There are several others like that. Swamiji speaks of them all very fondly.

Swamiji has been observing how several good students of Veda have gone away abroad to pursue other professions such as in computers. Some have grown arrogant and have stopped being of service to society. Mother Goddess takes different forms as shown in some less well-known stories in the scriptures, even as a fox or a tiger to set right devotees who have gone astray.

The Veda students here are treated with great love and care. They are provided good food and all amenities and comforts. Swamiji is very proud of these children. He wears the outstanding ones as gems in his garland.

Literacy is very essential. Knowledge is important, even to sign your name, or to fill out any application form, such as for a passport. It is important to be able to count, to balance a cheque book. Merely doing puja will not give you knowledge. You must make use of the facilities provided in every state, to learn the required skills. Even to drive an auto rickshaw you need training. Mother Goddess Saraswati represents all knowledge. Basic education is very necessary.

The 12 main musical notes represent the 12 main Nadis in the human body. Music is very important in the development of the fetus. It is very important for pregnant women to listen to good, soothing music. It benefits the child in the womb immensely. It is also very important to sing soothing lullabies to babies.

Dharma is following what Nature has intended, to live according to God’s plan. One should be happy to be alive. One should protect life that is God given. Be happy and contented with your gender, your caste, your religion, your family, and your position. Do not change. Do not wish to change it. God knows what is best for each and has placed each one in the right position. One who breaks this Dharma gets destroyed. You are supposed to breathe only with your nose. Do not say that after 40 years it is boring to breathe with the nose and attempt to breathe with another organ. You will only bring big troubles upon your head. It is like holding fire in your armpit. You cannot even hold ice in your armpit; or inside your nostril. Fire belongs only in the stove. Even a mad person will not do it. Reading books and scriptures is not Dharma. The body requires at least 3-4 hours of sleep. You have to provide it. It is not Dharma to see horror movies all night. Then you will only see horror when you are awake during the day.

Dharma is very easy to follow. To learn how, simply watch Puttu Gam videos and messages. Go to www.puttugam.com. Then you will know what Dharma is. Using simple words and short sentences, like parrot-talk Swamiji is teaching Dharma to all. Take membership on facebook. Become friends with Puttu Gam. Do not be afraid or hesitant. It is very safe. Get help from those who are computer-literate. Take photos, give your addresses. You may have only one friend on facebook if you wish, Puttu Gam. That is enough. Introduce new people to Puttu Gam. Then they will be led in turn to Datta Peetham. It is an ocean with a great variety of activities and functions. It is mind boggling.

Sri Guru Datta
