I’m happy that you all are listening to Bala Swamiji’s Ramayana discourse. Since it is not possible for all to view the entire Ramayana in detail, Appaji has made Shata shloki Ramayana through TV . Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagavata must be listened to. It gives knowledge about birth and death. Various poets have sung and explained it differently. We all think we know Ramayana – Seetha Rama get married, go to forest, seetha gets kidnappned. They sent many monkey police, killed villian Ravana with arrows Ravana had 10 heads. Seetha was beautiful, better than any cinema actress. She was taken away in a modern aircraft! She was taken to some island. Many other villans were put there for guarding her. We all simplify the story of Ramayana as we understand it in today’s material world. Hanuman, a gold medalist in long jump went to Lanka he did some enquiry, gathered evidence and went back. Built a modern bridge and took Rama there. Rama fought, put a bomb and killed Ravana with 10 heads! This is what we call modern Ramayana and assume we know Ramayana!!
Indians discovered ZERO. Without that mathematics would not have been possible from spirituality perspective also, zero is very important In vedas, the scholars have a way of remembering the shlokas by mathematically splitting shlokas on certain syllables.
That is how they can begin chanting from any point! We can’t even eat hot puliogare!! How can we learn the great Ramayana?? We think we know everything! sometimes the story of Ramayana is oversimiplified, mocked or even heckled in these times As hindus we are closer to gods but not devils. All tattvas of everyone’s mind is in Ramayana. So respect Ramayana.

Nadabhdim Sachchidanandam Sadgurum Tam Namamyaham !
What does Nadabdhim Sachchidanandam sadguru tam namamyaham mean? Shiva is one who embodies Nada. Tyagaraja says “Nada Tanumanisham Sankaram namami me manasa sirasa” Similarly the Sadguru is like an ocean of Nada. Sadguru’s greatness cannot be told in words ! Sadguru is Nada Roopa Shiva and I prostrate to the Shankara with my body and mind. That Shankara is none other than our Sri Swamiji. In chandamama, a children magazine, we read about Vikram & Betal stories in childhood. Sri Swamiji is the personification of grit and determination. In the last 33 days we have been seeing the form of His determination. Appaji doesnt care about his health. Cold, fever don’t come along with Him. Tiredness doesn’t come with Him. Sneezes don’t work in Studio. All the above qualities too are afraid of Appaji. He is firm on completing the recording. We think Appaji will take rest in the afternoon and go home. No. It never happens. Appaji is workaholic. We get a call saying Appaji is ready to go for recording. Please come! If he takes up any project, he relentlessly works towards its completion. Everyday he has recorded 15-20 ragas. Very rare Ragas that even great musicologists also are not aware of some of them. No one has ever accomplished such a feat. Music is not Swamiji’s profession. HE is using healing for seva. He says I’m not a healer. Lord Narayana is! But it is he who has given us this Nada, who touches us and heals us! He has been doing this in the last 45 years!! There are lot of musicians that started the music healing imitating Swamiji but there is no one that is researching musical healing in contemporary world. This is the truth. Why did Swamiji record 372 Ragas ? It is a secret . Only Swamiji will tell you. There are hundreds of Ragas but Ragas recorded. But Amrutha Dhanyasi, Kanakadri, Vipula, Karunadalochani, Madhava Priya, Pravrutthi, Tridasa Ranjani, Satva Bhashini, Devamani, Bhuvaneshwari are 10 such ragas even music experts also have not heard about them. Appaji has blessed the audio/video staff who had the opportunity to be part of this recording! Some of these ragas are being used in the healing sessions. This is great experience. Just sharing this with all of you. I am very happy. So many people ask us ” what is appaji doing in the studio?” People can understand that only when that hard work comes out in the form of a audio CD.
