Today is Ratha Saptami. My ancestor Soorappa, the Poundareeka Yaji was a great Sun worshipper. His penance was so intense and his powers so strong that he had control over shadows. You will find that during the Vijayanagara regime of Akka Bukka Rayalu there is evidence of sun worshippers having control over in which direction the shadows fall.
Today the Sun’s rays are very intense. Their effect on earth and other planets is very strong. Those rays will determine the future impact. Good experienced astrologers can calculate and predict accurately based on today’s position and impact. Mere bookish knowledge and such calculations based on lack of experience will be misleading.
The journalists and news media are doing good service spreading news about this temple consecration and the glory of Hanuman. I am very happy.
Many missed this morning’s special Ratha Saptami Puja. They did not get the message in time. Please show them photographs. I got good auspicious signs from the Sun God. This year will be good. Some weather disturbances may occur. Do not be frightened.
Prayer alone helps. Only God protects. When you are in deep sleep, if an earthquake occurs, who protects? When you are flying in an Airbus along with 200 passengers, and something goes wrong, who protects? You beg the pilot to do something. What can he do? He will announce, if you have faith in a Guru or God, start praying immediately. Travel only when required. Do not take up unnecessary travel.
I smell garlic and onions, especially garlic. It should not be prepared on the temple premises. Oh, it is from the neighbors? Not here? That is okay. Do not approach the neighbors now. They may make you taste it. Leave them alone. My nose is sensitive. That is why I at once detected. Those who eat it all the time will not even notice the smell. They wish for it to be stronger.
Lots of travel for Swamiji. Upcoming visits to Pamidi, Kadiri, Mysore (visit only for Shivaratri for 3 days), New Zealand, waterfalls, USA, South Africa and many other places. Next year for one year Swamiji will remain in Mysore.
Nada, Veda, Yoga – three approaches Swamiji takes. Even scientists like Swamiji’s music. Special program is being held, to present research findings.
Millions of japa of Rama and Hanuman mantras is taking place via the Internet. Everyone must participate for Universal Peace and Protection.
Give a chance to new devotees to approach Swamiji. Do not block their access and view. Old devotees must show consideration.

“5 faced Anjaneya has been consecrated. We pray to Him with faith that the future mishaps and disturbances will be fixed by him. Let us chant the mantras without any errors. It is very important to pronounce the syllables correctly. Every time you visit the temple you chant.
“Tvamasmin kaarya niryoge pramaanam harisatthama
Hanuman yatnamaasthaaya duhkha kshaya karo bhava.”
This mantra has been chanted many crores of times today. 1000 crores in 89 nations, via the Internet, it has been chanted. The chanting will go on till December 2012 till this yajna (ritual) is concluded.
Now we see Hanuman installed in many places; in cinemas also they are showing a lot. Nothing wrong. For each era, a certain incarnation. Nothing wrong. Vanara is the ambassador. He protects all beings, says the Bhavishyat Purana. Swami’s first Energy is Hanuman. He is Sada Shiva’s incarnation. Matsya Koorma, Rama, Krishna, Narasimha – all such incarnations have ended and returned to Vaikuntha, to their home. But Hanuman is immortal. All others have returned and merged in their source. To this day Hanuman remains on Gandhamadana Mountain doing penance, protecting the lives of beings. Prana is Brahma. Anna is Brahma. In previous yugas (eons) life remains in the body till the bones, till the flesh, or till the skin survived, respectively. But now in Kali Yuga life remains only as long as breath survives.
Hanuman is Life. He is all-pervasive; He is visible, and yet invisible. Although invisible, He is very much there. Hanuman teaches us of nirguna (formless). Vishnu took a form. Hanuman also took a form before Vishnu to serve him in Rama incarnation. Hanuman is eternal. He helped Rama a lot. In Krishna avatara also he gave tests and gave jeevanmukti (liberation) to Sudarshana, and others. He is Siva himself. He is most subtle and yet all-pervasive. Veda can be summarized in one sentence and yet, it is impossible to fully grasp. This is another very important Hanuman Mantra that everyone should chant. It describes His universal form with the five faces.
“Vande vaanara naarasimha khagaraat Krodaashwa vaktraanchitam
Naanaalankaranam tripancha nayanam Dedeepyamaanam ruchaa
Hastaabjairasi kheta pustaka sudhaa kumbhaam kushaadreem halam
Khatvaangam phani bhooruhau ca dadhatam Sarvaari garvaapaham”
“Om namo hanumate namaha,” is the short, simple, but very powerful mantra.
When the child is still in the womb itself all American devotees, follow many restrictions. They play Swamiji’s music for the child in the womb. Your children, who have gone there. As soon as the baby is born, they play Swamiji’s music. Because the child recognizes the sounds, it sleeps beautifully, peacefully. Exercises are done. Food intake is controlled.
Hanuman is ayonija. Nine months pregnancy is an illusion. He was born to Anjana Devi. No matter how much we worship him it is not enough. He has shown two forms. One is the universal form that He showed to Sita first in the Ashoka vana. Like a cat he appeared to her first. Hanuman offered to take Sita back on his shoulders. She laughed at his small figure and asked how it is possible. Then He showed her His universal form.
Sita is Agni. Ravana had to be killed only by Rama. Sita was astoundingly beautiful. That is why Ravana abducted her. She was not some ordinary lean and anemic woman. Why would he bring anyone not worthy?
For a three months trip overseas, I went alone with one suitcase, with no assistant. Swamiji went round the world. Tickets, everything, Swamiji handled by himself. In the life history also it is recorded with dates. The documents are on display. 3 months. All countries. Who made the ticket reservations? Where are the people that I met then? Who hosted me? Many are not there anymore. I remember one couple. They are still living.
Viswanath, Prasad’s father came up to Bombay only, not to New York as he wanted to. Swamiji said, no. Then Swamiji first went to Delhi and from Delhi he flew abroad. So stubborn he was. In 1976 when Swamiji went back to those countries, some people recognized him from the previous trip. I lied and said, no, it was my brother who came earlier.
Where there is a good determination, the gods will help. Your faith in Swamiji makes you fortunate. He supports and helps you. One hint I give you.
Anjaneya gativi neeve – bhajan
I worship you very little, Hanuman. Yet you protect me so much. We have no time. We are slaves. Only we chant, “Om Namo Hanumate Namaha”; that is all. Very little japa. Neighbors and computers do the japa. But we claim to have done the japa. Swamiji is doing the japa. We are just witnessing. Computer is getting moksha. Along with the computer even if you don’t do it all the time, at least for half an hour or 10 minutes, or even 5 minutes if you also repeat, then there is your participation also.
For protecting the environment, to purify the places Swamiji is using this science. Even for a tiny amount of worship you give great boons, O Lord Hanuman. Lord Srinivasa also, if you give Him one rupee, He gives you ten rupees. Such a glorious Swami. The mantra is very powerful. Many don’t realize its power. Do the japa seriously. Many on the deathbed have come out of hospitals and are hale and healthy. When devotees approach Swamiji in the queue with problems, Swamiji says, “Read Datta Darshanam”. Don’t leave it, that simple instruction. You don’t ask what you should do. He tells you. You must follow. You must take it seriously. When Swamiji speaks, your treatment has already begun. But many do not believe. They then go to astrologers and show their hand lines, back lines, and face lines and ask for yantras and mantras.
In Paris, the queen of Italy’s sister gave diamonds and such expensive gifts to Swamiji in London in 1981. She built a hospital in her name for Swamij. It is not there now. She had severe leg and back pain. Untreatable. Swamiji told her to come to Mysore. He arranged a room for her. Those days it was very difficult to provide accommodation in the ashram.
In the olden days, Swamiji used to give up his own room for any visiting Swamis and he would occupy Dr. Krishnamurthy hut, a kottam. Do you know this? The Peethadhipatis would ask where does Swamiji stay? They would only find out after a couple of days. They would be shocked and exclaim, “Aparadham (a sin), it is a dosham for us”. They would force me to return to my place and they would offer to stay in the hut. Atithi (a guest) is like God and should be treated like that. Swamiji steps down from the throne to invite those holy men who come in saffron robes carrying a danda, the sacred staff. They are Vishnu Moorti. Do you know? They are Sada Siva.
O Hanuman devotees, you are distributing wonderfully. Please give water also to the devotees. Ganapati Naivedyam they make and offer to Swamiji. After arpana (offering), after Swamiji smells the food, they distribute. Also distribute water, I request you. If you eat here, drink water afterwards. Otherwise go home and eat. They will eat. They will not wait. Many did not get anything. The whole world is watching this webcast. Many Telugu people are watching. Show them the kajjikaya, ariselu, athirasam. See, you do not get.
