Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji – January 6, 2012 – Machilipatnam
Pujya Sri Swamiji;s benedictory address in Machilipatnam soon after the re consecration of Sreepada Sivallabha padukas in a cave in Machilipatnam Ashrama on 6th January 2012.

This place is Sri Pada vallabha Paduka Kshetram. Today is an eventful day and re consecration of Padukas has been performed in the Ashrama of Machilipatnam. All of you are blessed with the lotus feet of Sree pada vallabha and Narasimha saraswati.I keep telling people to have the divine darshan of Paduka kshetra in Machilipatnam.Of late, this kshetra is addressed as the Ashram opposite to Hanuman Temple, as large number of people are visiting Hanuman Temple. Machilipatnam is a town of Saptahas since ages. There used to be spiritual discussions, intellectual lectures and group discussions by academaecians. Finally Machilipatnam had been a center of literature, spirituality and Philosophy. Later on cropped slowly business into this town due to which the learned people had to go out of the town .But new people came and settled here.The town thus has good history of Bhagavat saptaha [ Discourses on the stories of Devotion] .This is also called as Panduranga Kshetra, controlling the cyclones. The Sea God’s aggressive nature was thus controlled by Panduranga.
In such pious kshetra, Sri Swamiji consecrated padukas.Lord Datta protects people irrespective of gender,caste and creed like the Sun God .Datta puts us in illusion. Datta tested His own Mother and Father. He is in many forms.
Here in Machilipatnam Dattatreya is sitting in a cave. Sri Swamiji is very happy with the way the cave has been decorated artistically. It is fantastic.Infact it is arranged in a small place.The technology they implemented is amazing. They did an excellent job. Lord Datta is sitting in a small cave and mediatating. Vajra Kavacha is being offered by one devotee to decorate the Padukas.
When the committee members of Machilipatnam invited to re consecrate the Padukas set in the cave, Sri Swamiji immediately said “ No” Whenever Sri Swamiji says a “NO”, that mood of Sri Swamiji is just for a fraction of a second. Devotees have to digest that negative mood of Sri Swamiji for a while. One should not be disappointed at that moment. By just keeping quiet at that moment, devotees can win Sri Swamiji’s heart. Datta tests in various ways.Datta might insult devotees but Datta is very affectionate and protective.Datta always gives “ Abhaya”.You have to win Datta’s heart.
Bhakta Tukaram wanted to listen to Rama nama from his Guru. Guru kept on postponing initiation. Tukaram was patient enough to wait for several janmas [ cycles of birth] to listen to Rama nama from his Sadguru.
One day his Guru was coming back from the river after taking his bath, early in the morning when it was quite dark. Tukaram thought of a plan to make his Guru utter Rama nama and slept on one of the steps close to the river.While climbing the steps, Guru stamped Tukaram and lost his balance. He was annoyed and cursed the person on the steps in several ways, every time using “Rama Rama.
” Oh Rama Rama Rama! Who is the person who disturbed my prayers? Oh Rama Rama Rama! Who is the cause of imbalance in me while climbing the stairs? Oh Rama Rama Rama! who spoilt my pious condition after taking bath in the river? Oh Rama Rama! who is the one who spoilt my early morning mood? Guru scolded the person [ Tukaram] using Rama nama for 11 times, which became an initiation to Tukaram.
That is how you have to wait for “Nama” from Sadguru.If you any time blame Sadguru,the evil spirits will trouble you. Sadguru infers various reasons if a devotee blames Sadguru.But devils will not spare.
There is a temple in Karnataka, in which there are two evil spirits at the entrance of the sanctum sanctorum.As a devotee enters the temple, the devils sit on the shoulders of the devotee. If the devotee prays sincerely uttering Lord Shiva’s name, the devils jump out of the devotee’s shoulders after he comes out of the sanctum sanctorum..Hence the devotees should always feel happy about their Sadguru’s kindness for them. If they feel unhappy,devils settle on their shoulders.Hence knowingly or unknowingly we should not blame Sadguru.One should be satisfied with the very darshan of Sadguru.It will be good for the devotees.People always complain that Sadguru did not touch,speak or bless them.But nobody feels that Sadguru did not put His hand in one’s pocket and pull money with all intimacy.
We do not spread or communicate good news. We are not at all helpful.We should always be helpful to others.Our earnings should be useful to others.
There was gathering of 1,000 people in Germany.They meditated for an hour. It was pin drop silence.They never give garlands. They never disturb Sri Swamiji. They are very silent.
Silence is divine.
Silence is a golden path and a divine way to success.
This Brindavana puram [ machilipatnam] is a very good town. All of you are staying in such a pious town. It is a place of “ Guru Seva”. Sri Bala Swamiji likes Brindavana puram a lot.
Today all of you have darshan of padukas of Sripada sri vallabha’. Visit Manginapudi/ Datta Rameswaram tomorrow.
Sri Swamiji has travelled for the last three days.
Sri Swamiji travelled from USA to Mysore, via Germany, Bangkok and Bangalore to give Uttara Dwara darshana to His devotees. There was a gathering of 50,000 people in Mysore Ashrama for the same.25,000 sweet laddu, Kesari made of 6 bags and Pulihora made of 6 bags were given as prasadam for all the visitors.
It looked as though Lord Venkateswara literally came down to Sri Datta Venkateswara Temple of Mysore Ashrama as though He could not withstand the rush in Tirumala. Sri Swamiji requested Lord Venkateswara not to leave Mysore Ashrama because of the same rush and go to some other place.
