The children’s bhajans were very nice.
In so many concerts people have witnessed strange things with photos and lights. Rao mentioned about photographs taken yesterday at the concert where Swamiji alone appears as a bright white light in photographs where people standing near him are seen as they are. It is not belief or a miracle. It is not because of God or Guru.
Before starting yesterday’s concert Swamiji gave a hint with two or three words at the very beginning. Analyze that statement. Swamiji spoke for three minutes only because he was told that there was no time for a long speech. Prasad said that there was no time to give any long talk. Swamiji gave a short statement. It was a miracle statement.
In London, not at the Royal Albert Hall, but at the other Brent Town Hall also and in Switzerland also photos came out like that. Too much light only, giving reflection, over exposed. Yes. You are right but nearby person dressed in white appears normal, even a white man in white dress is seen clearly. But normally it happens because of overexposure. Swamiji says, “No I don’t believe myself. Not good camera.” White beard reflections. Beard was too long then and now it has been pruned like a tree. A psychiatrist, from seeing too many patients, may begin to also feel confused. When people claim such miracles, and say that it is beginning to hurt my belief, I say to such people, “I agree with your faith, but not this photo and not your statements. Only your inside faith, I believe.”
The first concert Kaliji arranged in Coconut Grove, it was a very good concert. Flowers were blooming after the concert after one raga. It was like Robot-like, plastic flowers bloomed; she took photos. Night time flowers.
I believe in you. Before the concert you were tired, but now you are so fresh. You are also like a flower.
Appreciate this creation or guru. I am only a small part. The earth also is very small. Who are you? Think about it deeply. Showing appreciation is puja, meditation, and praise. Go ahead, only for showing your gratitude. You are a human being. You read a book and think you know about creation. You think you are a good student. Who gives these colors to flowers? If you spray the flowers with colors, they will fade. We cannot create. An invisible hand only creates, Atman, which is not fire or water or space, not male or female. Light, energy okay.
Shankara said, “Nothing”. I am not body. Who I am? That inquiry is tapa. Vedanta, meditation, close your eyes and don’t ask questions. People give their own experience. That is not good if you ask others for answers. You must practice yourself. Close your eyes for ten or fifteen minutes may be, slowly, may be you will get answer. You start. It may take ten or twenty years or may be till next birth.
Concentrate only, yourself only, and do not give yourself only ten years, and not necessary to even chant Om. Music, sound, smell, and drink are not necessary. Who I am? Think, close your eyes. Answer comes by itself. No guru. He, who gives this trick, is Guru/God. You get good results if you do daily. Life is not permanent. Daily changing, body, mind, shape, ideas, eating, wearing clothes, all changing.
Only give ten minutes, don’t think of result, do it without ambition. Silent, inhale exhale rhythmically. I am Brahma. Soham. When you sleep deeply you observe, unknowingly breathing happens, effortlessly. Self-impelled. Some chip inside; somebody has given power. Not happy thoughts only but during any status, when you eat, sleep, walk, something happens. That is Prana, God. We call it Paramatma. Saints named Atma. What is jeevatma and paramatma? Later the explanation comes automatically. Out of love, devotion. Love, people have, or fear of spoiling life. Giving respect, must not hurt child, see Sadguru like that; that is Bhakti, shraddha.

A wonderful bhajan on Mother Goddess. Mother Goddess has glaring eyes, tongue hanging out, her face looks horrible. Many people do not like it. But what happens when your mother gets angry and upset with you? How does her face look then? Exactly like Kalika. Mother Goddess has taken 9 incarnations, as the 7 matrikas also, and as the 54 energies, to destroy the evil demons.
What happens to our mother when we behave like Rakshasas, like demons? She becomes like Kalika to punish us, to control us, to give us advice on how to behave, to give us proper education by teaching. Mother Kalika, after she destroys the demons, wears their skulls around her neck as a necklace because of her love for her children. Demons, angels, humans, all are her children.
Many people shout, losing control when they get furious, “I am not a human being anymore, when I am aroused to anger like this!” Why do they say that? They become like a tiger, a donkey, a monkey, a pig, or a lion. They are not in control of themselves. When they notice that you have done some mistake, what happens to others? They turn into lions, elephants, snakes, and donkeys. These are all our relatives from our past births. We have passed through all those species in our past lifetimes and we now remember them automatically when we lose control over ourselves.
We cannot sit still even for a few minutes. There is some curiosity, unsteadiness in our minds. If someone comes into the room, if there is talk about money, if someone is speaking on the telephone, if someone is bowing before Swamiji, you want to know what is happening. You crane your neck to see, to listen. Suddenly the elephant, monkey, donkey, pig attitudes overtake us. We become like those animals.
How to get over this? Association with good people, with Sadguru gives us good protections. You then forget those previous births. You should fill your mind with good things. Then the bad things will vanish. You waste time in trying to clean bad habits. Instead, try to fill your mind with good habits. Because you are very busy thinking only bad thoughts, struggling about how to remove bad thoughts, automatically strength goes to bad thoughts. Instead of doing that, think only good thoughts. Then bad automatically goes away. This bhajan gives a good meaning, describes the life history of Mother Goddess Kalika.
