Jaya Guru Datta.
Please repeat, “Sri Maha Ganapathaye Namah.
Sri Saraswatyai Namah.
Sri Pada Vallabha Narasimha Saraswati.
Sri Guru Dattatreyay Namah.”
Now, today is a very auspicious and a very powerful day. A very special Naga Puja is performed in Udupi, India. The Naga Mandala Puja, is very precious and is a very rare puja. There are three days of Puja of Naga Devata & Bala Krishna. What is the connection of the Puja, this kind of chakras, homa, food, charity, Guru Darshan and chanting of the Mantra’s? What is this connection with human beings? This is a science. This kind of a Puja, we can’t understand this science, this phenomenon.
The Vedic Yuga, was so many billion years ago.
There are four srishti’s, four yugas, four parts – Kruta, Treta, Dwapara & Kali Yuga. This is the end of Kali Yuga, the beginning Yuga – Kruta Yuga.
Brahma Dev, Brahma Narayana, Brahma Shiva – are thinking about all jeev rashi’s (life forms in different zodiacs).
They are the different sources.
The form they created was very good, small items, creatures, but, later, lots of confusion, what is this universe?
Then Brahma thought, “We want to give liberation,” these small tiny items, creatures, have been given jeevatma.
Narada asked “Swami, you gave this jeeva, this form, these formations, these illusions, see what has happened. Human being is very confused. Confused human being. They are committing so many mistakes, they are sinking. And, are repeatedly committing the same mistakes. This is very dangerous. Swami, you are giving them such a boon. It’s not good. Please stop the creation.”
Brahma Dev said, “No, I can’t stop. That is my determination, my sankalpa. Lord Vishnu has given order. I am thinking of Lord Shiva, He is also giving order. I obey the Masters. I want to give life to different souls. Maybe, it will take time in the beginning, first for the pashu – homeless animals and then, I will give to Gagana Chara – birds, after that to the human beings. So, this journey is a long process, then the human mind will learn some lessons, after that they will definitely get moksha.”
Narada asked, “Without teacher, how can we get moksha?”
He said, “Don’t worry. Before this creation, I want one creation for Guru. So, I want to give a Master, Sadguru. There is a creation for Sadguru and Sadguru will give guidance to the human beings. Doesn’t matter, don’t worry.”
So, that creation is beginning – Kruta Yuga.
Anyway, we all are from Brahma, Brahma is like our Mother. Brahma is our Grandfather, Our Pita, Our Father. We are all the children of that One; we all are Guru bhai’s, Guru brothers, Guru sisters.
We are all Vasudeva Kutumbika, we are all members of one family.
Don’t think, I am a European, I am an African, I am an Indian, you are human beings. Differences are in our Karma, different taste.
If you have sattvic food, then you have sattvic guna – quality. Good food gives good thinking. . So you take Sattvic food, You decide, vegetarian or non – vegetarian, that is your karma, if you take sattvic food you will have a sattvic mind.
We are creating our karmas. Brahma created us. But, we create different worries. Your karma, you are creating. Today, one karma, tomorrow one different karma, desires, so many different different desires. Lot of desires, today two desires, tomorrow you are asking for one more. Then you are forgetting today’s and you are asking for one more, one more desire, one more desire.
So, God is very kind. He will fulfill all desires, but, how much time will it take! All the desires you forget, you keep forgetting, forgetting again & again. Desire less life is better. You are showing lot of urgency, a very speedy tomorrow.
This is not our planet, our planet is Brahma Planet. We came in our Swayam Karma, our self karma, our self creations. When there is Brahma Sankalpam, when Brahma desires, then there is creation of human beings. This karma is travelling, travelling, travelling, travelling. Not yet finished, because of so many desires.
If you take heavy food, it will take 18 hours to digest – Slowly slowly slowly slowly. If you take light food, it will digest in 6 hours or 3 – 4 hours. So, that is only your karma, it is upto you to choose & decide. You have created karma for one house, two house, three house, four house, two children. Again, what will happen to those two children? So, no satisfaction for human being. This is also good, this is also good, collecting objects, collecting unnecessary objects also. Time waste & money waste. And also things are accumulating, we can’t put here, because no place here. My elder daughter, she refused, “No mamma, that is very old fashioned, I don’t want this, finished.” What can you do? We don’t want to throw. I have seen at so many places, so many houses, they don’t want to throw in the garbage. They want to keep.
“This computer is completely spoiled.”
“No problem, I’ll keep it in the attic, it is my marriage day gift.”
But, its not working! Doesn’t matter.
So this is desire. Growing up, growing up, and growing up desires. It is not an experience for the sake of experience. So, such desires, we always experience such a karma.
“Oh, this is nice, this family is good, that family is good, that business is good, this business market is making lot of money, this business, somebody says, my friend says, give to someone, this market is good, share market is good, my friend is good, somebody says lottery is good, million – billions lottery, take one, daily, daily, daily.”
So, these are false asha, desires. Good friends of desire are kama, karma and avidya.
”Pancha bhootaadi bandive.”
This body is a combination of the five elements. It has come out of the 5 elements.
Triguni, the three qualities – firstly, kama means desires, kama is also ambition, one kind of desire.
Second quality, karma, is also desire. By karma, you are creating problems for yourself.
Third, Avidya is ignorance.
You claim, “Ahh, I know Bhagvad Gita, my grandfather build a big building for a temple.”
But, what about you?
You say, “No, no, no, my mother is a very big poet,”
But, what about yourself?
Father, Grandfather, they are sanyasi’s, ok I agree, thanks.
But, what about you? What is your practice?
You say, “Ah, Ah, no time,” that is ignorance.
Ego, ignorance, this is not innocence but ignorance.
So, here we need a Master, Guru.
He will give guidance, what is good, what is bad. You must follow. Follow the Master, but be careful, Master’s also we are selecting daily, today one master, tomorrow another master, tomorrow another Guru, another Guru, another Guru. Divorce, another, another, another. What is this, I don’t understand. No value systems in human beings. What matters is your qualities, your character, your practise, your good karma. When things go wrong you are sitting alone, then you are disappointed & are in depression & are asking, “What is this karma, what can I do??? I want to die.” Why you are thinking about dying? One day you must die, no problem. That is your desire, you are in queue. You must pray to God. Option of dying is not available in your janma, in your birth. Death is already fixed, we are born with a return ticket. For this we do not require a visa, return ticket is always there. You took birth. Don’t worry about that, return ticket is always there in your pocket.
So then, during this birth you use the time for good karma. Don’t waste time by taking some cup of coffee, then, ba ba ba ba, chatter box, ba ba ba, he he he he, bababbaba, he he he. All this, all chatterbox. This garbage. No use, one hour time waste over one cup of coffee.
You must do something in your mind to work. You don’t waste. You take only three minutes, you enjoy, you enjoy coffee, you enjoy, no problem, tea, chaay, only five minutes, you don’t waste one hour.
Some people take some papers, from front to back, from bottom to top, top to bottom, reading, our own papers, all pages. No use.
Dirty magazines, reading, reading, reading, reading… Hiding, looking for pictures, its not good. My dear boys, so many hours he has, but, doesn’t use it wisely. No use. He thinks, “Today experience, not good experience.” Nothing. You must do good things, useful things, not useless.
Some people, they are on facebook, chatting, chatting, chatting, chatting. One boy don’t know, good friendship, new girl friendship. No use. What’s happening is very dangerous, Nowadays, young students are in danger. So parent must keep a watch. They have the right to see. That is your kartavya, your duty to do. Then understand, what kind of a friendship your daughter is having with the boy. Very small children, six years, seven years, they have 200, 300 friends – all boyfriends. Its not a mistake, but, its not the correct time. So we need Sadguru. Without teacher, without Guru, you can’t do anything. To learn to ride a bicycle you need a teacher.
Anyway, today Swamiji is going to do Sri Chakra Archana, Sri Chakra Puja. Sunday is our Sunday, my Sunday. I am very happy too.

She is a good devotee for Swamiji. Like a sister, so that’s why. She was asking everyday, in Mysore. Those ten days, ten days everyday she was asking,
“Swamiji, Swamiji.”
I said one day, “what happened, what is this? Johannesburg is a big city; I will go do some programme, but what will happen in few days!”
“No Swamiji, good devotees.”
So, that is only maya. So, I am thinking, Lord Vishnu’s maya. Maybe there are some devotees, some family members in this village, this town.
“Okay, will visit one day.” Swamiji was walking on the bridge (at Mysore Ashrama) & had said, “I will come to your city.”
That sankalpam, the sankalpam has a timing.
But anyway, her devotion, she is a devotee from 1990 – 91, Swamiji’s devotee. My good friend, My devotee, My sister, My family friend. So anyway, like Malaani. Malaani is also like My chela, My shishya & also My brother. He is like My staff member.
Beautiful arrangements in Johannesburg. Good concert, last week. Such a concert, I am very happy. I think you must go ahead & download from itunes. Maybe, it will come on itunes later. Very nice, yesterday I listened to it, Swamiji while travelling by car. I am very very happy. Such a music is not music, that is a gandharva sounds, different sounds. This music you listen, then you will understand. That is not music, that is different sounds, celestial sounds.
And, after that she says, “we have a small park, birds park & we have small falls, waterfalls.”
Then, I said, “I will come, we will come.”
Swamiji is very happy about birds. Very happy about the waterfalls.
That is only one of the cause or reason, but, I wanted to give you all darshan. I wanted to meet my family here. I am very very happy.
Right now, I am going to perform Sri Chakra Puja. Maybe in the evening, I don’t know, if you have any prapti, if you have any fate, will come back here, otherwise, don’t know. That is your choice, your karma. That is not my karma, that is your karma. My karma is finished, I came & I gave darshan to you, then next you can give, you can show your devotion to Swamiji. If you come one step towards Swamiji, I will come 10 steps towards you . If you go 10 steps back, I will go 100 steps back. What will happen, I don’t know, for the evening Bhajans. I don’t know, ‘Mataji.’

Narakasura Samhara, destruction of Demon Narakasura.
Ravanasura Samhara, destruction of Ravana.
Karo Rama Kirtanam, Always sing the songs of Lord Rama. In this last phase – Kali Yuga, singing the glory of God is the highest penance. Very important penance – Nama Sankeertana means chanting of God’s name.
If we keep on chanting Ram Ram Ram Ram,Ram, Ram for 2 hrs, 3hrs, 4 hrs, 6 hrs & 7 hrs, what happens? Suddenly you stop and the inner mind is singing ‘Ram Ram Ram Ram.’ So, the penance of chanting is going on inside.
There are three types of japa, meditative repetition of the name of God – one is inside, i.e. antar jap, second is only – HH illustrates lip movement of mantra, without sound – where only you can listen to what you are chanting.
Third is shouting loudly, “Ram Ram Ram. Jai Rama Bolo!Sri Rama ki Jai!”
Which is better?
Pratama tapa , the first one – the Antar tapa. The first one – Chanting the Guru Mantra inside. Chanting Gods name inside – antar mantra, Those who practise antar mantra, is a very successful soul. Lip chanting is half successful and those chanting loudly have success, but, not perfect.
You must practise antar japa, inside. In the beginning it is very difficult to practise antar japa, inside jap tap, inward chanting & penance.
So you must start loudly – “Sri Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Jaya Rama.” This is first class. Second class is – HH illustrates the lip movement of japa.
In the third class – HH poses with closed eyes in meditation posture, in prayer, without sound.
Here, it is without sound. You only know your breathing sound. You can listen to your inhaling and exhaling. Join your japa with the breathing. With, through inhaling and exhaling, we chant the names. Join your breath, with the mantra japa – the chant of the vedic hymn. Chant the mantra – the vedic hymn, which Gurudev has given.
I told today morning that Master, Sadguru is very important in our life. Without Guru there are no words. Take mantra from Guru – mukha. Always read & chant that Mantra. That mantra is the most powerful mantra.
Guru gives mantra in two – three ways.
One is Sabha Mantra, Mantra given to a group or audience of like minded people. Second, He sends messages – say this mantra, sometimes through E- mails, saying that read this Mantra. Third, Swamiji gives to you, by coming close to your ears, face to face – Sadguru is giving mantra, it is very important. We cannot get it because it is very rare. Some students only get such a mantra – Upadesha Mantra- Namoupadesha, Rahasya Upadesha, Vaartha – Narada upadesha.
In Narada Bhakti Sutra, it is explained. If you go through Narada Sutra, you can understand what Guru Mantra is and how disciple should behave with Guru. If you refer to Guru Geeta, you understand. Guru Geeta is already translated in all languages. I think you refer to Guru Geeta, it is only 300, 400 pages. In beautiful English, you can understand the necessity and importance of Guru in our life. Otherwise, it is very difficult to understand.
Some people took Guru, their own Bhagawan, their own deity. Ok, doesn’t matter.
But, it is very easy to take a physical Guru – whom you need!
Such a secret is hidden in this phenomenon. Lots of secretive & mystical teachings in this. It is difficult to understand the meaning. Guru is a must.
Today, Swamiji came running to give Sabha Mantra.
Today, I am very happy about birds. Some researches about birds have been done with music; we have music and ‘Birds Zodiac album’. You can go to itunes and check & understand the music, bird’s sounds. That is why Swamiji is going to different kinds of zoos, gardens, studying the behaviour of birds. There is a big research going on in My mind. So, I went to Durban and came running. My driver is a very beautiful driver, very nice soul. She is a nice lady – Mauleen.
Then, Sri Swamiji proceeds to sing bhajans – Dum Dum Dum Dum Durga.
