Sri Guru Dattatreyaya Namaha

Since the past 4 days you have been listening to the philosophy, principle, and nature of Dattatreya, and experiencing it. Last night you witnessed the raft festival on water. That was followed by Kakada Harati where Swamiji lit one lamp with another lamp. Today is the fifth day of celebrations, including Hanumad Jayanthi. Sri Paripoornananda Swamiji has become another Kakada Harati. In our tradition in every ritual there is a significant value towards earning spiritual knowledge, mantra, offering flowers, lighting lamps etc. Every single action in our tradition helps and propels us towards spiritual enlightenment. There is still so much to learn. Sage Bharadwaja took many births to learn the Vedas in their entirety. Similarly Guru principle is very difficult to grasp. Our participation in that effort is very important. To give fulfillment to the event, we have Sri Paripoornananda Swami with us. About 75% of devotees have left town. But you are really fortunate in attending this program. Through small stories, examples, and speeches, we keep learning spirituality. During a pilgrimage, we wake up in the morning and in the sleepy confusion bang against walls and fumble for light switches. Similarly the body is journeying through life but the mind is not keeping pace. Regardless of how many times we try to remember our whereabouts, we fumble and falter. We are on duty, is an awareness caused by wearing a uniform. We must always remain alert. No matter how much we hear and learn, the knowledge about Guru is infinite. Today is a very auspicious day. But for the presence of Swami Paripoornananda I would not have come down here. Today, you have the Trinity in front of you right here, rather than having Guru darshan from the balcony of Brahma or Vishnu or Siva. Many of you have received Mantra initiation this morning. Along with listening to the discourses, while doing so, your japa must continue within your hearts. Swamiji has taught you how to do it. There are different ways of doing japa. Swamiji has initiated you. Swamiji is blessing you all that you should achieve Mantra Siddhi. Visit pilgrimage centers, have darshan of deities and continue your japa. You are achieving all three here just now. Never forget to do japa, never forget your Dharma. You follow them, and urge others to follow and practice them.
