Swamiji remembers when he had been considering whether or not to construct a temple in Eluru. Initially some confusion and uncertainty is always there, about the site, about the funds, and we should never feel possessive of anything is the lesson here. The family of Datta has been instrumental in its construction of the temple of Venugopala Swamy Temple and other shrines. It is spreading its glory in the entire universe. For 2 months you have heard, not just prose or poetry, not just stories or songs, but great morals and great wisdom. A congregation of pundits, scholars, and noble souls has occurred here. More great events are going to take place here. I am not praising you. I am expressing happiness at your good fortune.
Those without facilities have come. Those with conveniences are at home. But they come without shame when faced with troubles, arrogant that they can donate large amounts of money. Many do not even know how to offer salutations. Sometimes I get angry. I am ready to give them donation, while they expect me to acknowledge their generosity. Appaji will be very happy to be introduced to true service minded persons, belonging to other religions, living in foreighn countries. Their devotion is phenomenal. Many girls follow Swamiji’s commands and follow the virtuous path.
The software gives instant responses on behalf of Swamiji. You must utilize this resources, all college students all youth about to get married, seek advice and guidance from Swamiji. Millions use Him. Millions are there who know Swamiji and yet do not seek His help. Many act very ignorant and negligent. Only concerned about mundane activites. These days everyone has a phone but they do not know how to put it to good use. There is Datta Seva with a small contribution on your part to serve humanity. Lemons were used in worship by Swamiji during Navaratri, about 10 years ago, in spite of his arm that was healing after surgery. People would be eager to receive them as prasadam. Keeping it at home gives great benefit. It is not any strange mantra power. Only the spiritual power of worship of Mother Goddess. Even westerners are scared of lemons. In Russia, they said, don’t keep it in puja.
In Mysore a municipality officer needed help. He was an atheist. He was brought and seated towards the front rows. Another income tax officer also, a non-believer was brought and seated. The officer felt very ill at ease and wanted to leave. His assistant kept persuading him to stay. It is a difficult situation. Harati was finished. Why should I see Swamiji’s face? He got so scared and placed his kerchief on it and tossed it. It fell near the income tax officer. He got alarmed. By then Appaji tossed up another lemon. It fell on his lap. He could not touch it. Sitaram was nearby. The officer felt an electric shock. Instantly he became a devotee. Should I touch this or not? How could the lemon travel like a snake in a winding path to reach him.? why did you not tell me it was going to be like this? I would have taken a cleansing bath before coming. Forget meeting, we will have to honor Swamiji. This lemons Swamiji. Once you keep it at home, if it dries up, it is very good. If it rots, don’t feel bad. It has absorbed your bad luck, Leave it outside near a tree. Otherwise, the best option is make lemonade and drink it.
You are all very fortunate. My special blessing to the Lunani family, trustees, regular devotees, you are all very lucky to perform on this 12th anniversary year here, to perform so many meritorious deeds here. That is why I have come. My congratulations to you. My body appears healthy but God knows my real condition. I am youthful. The turbulence in the heart and the easy fatigue are used by me as excuses so that I can spend more time with my parrots. I do research with them about their speech and their songs.
The parrot that speaks today is gone the following day. Someone gets seriously injured and the parrot leaves the world. The parrot receives liberation at Swamiji’s hands. Some parrots sleep on my chest and mingle breath with Swamiji’s breath. Parrots chant Rama and Datta constantly. One parrot says, Om Namassivaya. It speaks so well. In Kannada language also. It is so small, like a sparrow. Swamiji and everyone around is so surprised. It does not even belong to India. Long ago whoever brought it to India has bred the species and so now they are nurtured here.
