Speeches of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji – February 12, 2014 – Vijayawada

Summary of speech after puja in morning

Few parts of speech are missing due to interrupted transmission.

Jaya Guru Datta.

Om namo hanumate namaha.

Anjaneyam atipatalananam kanchanadri kamaneeya vigraham
Parijata tarumoolavasinam bhavayami pavamana nandanam

Wellbeing, fame, good intellect, and strength are given by Lord Anjaneya. We name him as Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Swami. In many cities that is his name, Chennai, Kerala, Bengaluru, and other places. That is how the resolve was made, that even in Vijayawada we should have a Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Swami. Swamiji now used to have the title, cancellation Swamiji, now He has the title, postpone Swamiji, but now it is changed to prepone Swamiji. Where he goes, which flight, which train he takes, no one can predict. His body’s movements and His plans cannot be anticipated.

In Avadhoota state what happens is something that cannot be explained. Materials get manifested sometimes, like kumkuma. People have seen Swamiji in that state where inexplicable things happen. It is all Maya/illusion. Those who trust Swamiji do not criticize any more. “We go where Swamiji goes, be it to hell or heaven. He shows His divine play as He pleases. I will take what He gives. I will take whenever He gives me, whatever He gives me, be it in this lifetime or in future lifetimes”, is the attitude of those who trust Swamiji.

“Oh, Swamiji shouted so much and He was very upset. Today, Swamiji is in a great mood”. People talk about Swamiji as if He is a human being. Swamiji laughs at such ideas. In photos He is always smiling or laughing, because 20,000 people look at the picture. You are still in ignorance. You make your ignorance apply to Swamiji also. Your wavering mind you attribute to Him. If your heart is filled with true devotion, you see Swamiji as a divine being. It happens only if your heart is full and pure. If you are small-minded, Swamiji also appears as of small stature to you. Swamiji will set you right, directly or indirectly. His divine play is strange. If the receiving station is good, the transmission will be clear. Otherwise, noises will distract and transmission gets interrupted. Your tone box should be adjusted and you have to clear your voice. I am addressing musicians like this. I speak according to my audience, whether they are business people, scholars, or politicians. With idiots, I speak to appeal to them. What will you politicians do with all the crores that you rob from the people? Now I wonder whether I should have joined the politicians. Now Sanyasis have lost their popularity. They are not recognized. Why is Swamiji talking like that? Dikshitulu, do not mind my words. His critiques are shown to me by the children. They are very meaningful. His writings are special. There are a few others who are political commentators like him, who are exceptional. People should listen to their comments. Why he does not become an MLA I wonder. But if he becomes that, his attitude will change. People have to listen to intelligent comments. We do not. We waste time watching movies.

Celestials, who were once humans, discuss the frailties of humans and criticize them. When I hear such comments, I feel bad. After all, they were also humans once.

We are so fortunate to witness the consecration of Karyasiddhi Hanuman here. Someone asked, “Do you like Rama or Krishna, or another of God’s incarnations?” One, who likes Vedanta, likes all incarnations of God. I like Marakata Rajarajeswari, Kshipra Ganapati, Siva, and all other forms of God. I prostrate to all gods. My Guru commands and I follow.

Criticism and discussion about the expenditure of rituals such as this should not be engaged in. This is our home. We do how we like. We will keep our deities the way we please. You are only a guest here. You come and comment, the Anjaneya Swami is placed like this or that. Why is your critical face appearing like this here? I will fight like Mother Goddess. When you kick up a quarrel, I will fight back. If you come humbly, I will prostrate to you. One who wears an expensive suit knows where to button up. I speak strangely now like an Avadhoota. Why do you listen? Leave what you do not like. Listen to only what you like. What Swamiji says is all out of love. Accept all of Swamiji’s words.

We listened to the scholars. All my favorite scholars are present here. Full is always full. It is never less full or more full. Yajulu garu is here, although normally he does not stay long. Both mother and father are here. Kuchibhotla Chandrasekhara Sarma is here. He is my soul-relation. I love these people so much. They are born as humans because of a curse. I am not flattering. I am very happy. The old teacher from Veda school is here. They are not attending for the sake of receiving gratuity. They came out of love for Swamiji. I am very happy that they have all come. Rani Subbayya Dikshitulu is also here. He has come running. I pray that Lord Hanuman should bless you all with good health and all good things.
In Jayalakshmipuram, Kalyana Utsavam of Lakshmi Narasimhaswamy will be performed on February 20th. After 72 years we will witness the ceremony which was earlier celebrated only to an audience of tribals. Now all devotees can witness the event. Each year it will be celebrated in a different place. Flying visits of Swamiji this time. I have no time for individual greetings. I only go to do harati to the deities. I run from place to place. ‘Parugo parugu’, ‘Emi golo gola’ are all cinema titles now, our commonly used phrases. Jaya Guru Datta. May be this will be the next cinema title. No. They will not do it.

Sri Guru Datta

Summary of speech during evening bhajan session

Jaya Guru Datta

We cannot hold back time that keeps running away. We must hold onto Guru. Baby Monkey has to hold on to its mother. The mother has work to do; it has to find food; it has to leap from one tree branch to another. Whether the mother is paying attention to it or not, the baby monkey has to hold on tight to its mother. Similarly, a disciple has to hold on tight to the Sadguru. Guru has to see everyone. He travels constantly from place to place. The disciple has to hold him tight in his heart. Once the disciple matures, he has to be like a baby fish. A fish lays thousands of eggs. It cannot give individual attention to each child. The babies have to protect themselves. Just by following the glances and behavior of the mother, the baby fishes swim the vast ocean. Sadguru is like a compass. He shows the direction. The disciple must simply follow without question. One day Sadguru may say, worship Hanuman. The next day he may say worship Sri Marakata Rajarajeswari. You must not entertain any doubts about your ability or potential. Initially the Sadguru holds the disciple as a cat holds its kitten. But the disciple must graduate to higher levels. This sequence I have explained before several times. We have to follow this procedure of being like a kitten, a baby monkey, and a baby fish.

We follow Time and the five elements. The Lord is thumb-sized and resides in the space of our heart. In the Hanuman principle as explained in Vanara Gita, the Supreme Soul is without attributes. He should be worshiped as if he has attributes for the seeker to attain the state of formlessness.

We can see and feel water as we drink it or bathe in it. Fire burns and cooks our food. We can feel its presence. The earth and its magnetic attraction are experienced by us. Space cannot be seen or touched. We have to experience it only through the intellect. It has to be conceptualized. Vanara Gita is all Vedanta. Each Vanara praises Lord Hanuman, including Sugriva and Jambavan. Indra and other deities also praised Hanuman when he showed his Universal Form. “I am the space in the heart. I am formless. The one who realizes me, experiences bliss,” said Lord Hanuman.

In sleep, we dream. We think the dream is real. When we wake up we forget the dream. You are not aware of yourself, your bed, or your blanket, when you are asleep. While in sleep, did you exist? Were you even alive? Only the sleeping person has to confirm that. But he cannot. He is not aware. When he is asleep, he forgets everything. Even dreams he forgets, most of the time. He is in an illusory state.

“Meditate in your heart and you can reach me”, says, Swamiji. Those who do not believe it are questioning, “How does wireless work?” There are man-made gadgets that are not connected by any wires. The receiver that is inside captures the sound waves and light waves. The recipient can choose what waves he wishes to capture. When you are experiencing and accepting this, you must believe that Sadguru, the Supreme Soul is a huge receiving station. He receives endless waves from all directions. He knows how to distribute messages as per need. An experienced postman distributes the mail like a computer into hundreds of boxes. It is only very rarely that an address is missed. The distribution is correct 99.9999% of the time. Such is his skill.

Sadguru feels the pulse and thoughts of each and every one of His devotees at all times. The heartbeat, the vibration that goes through every nerve, He receives. My true devotees have the experience. Sadguru does not always say that, but sometimes He says, “Don’t speak to me now. Communicate with me heart to heart.” Some ignorant people think that it is a joke. True devotees understand, because they have the experience.

That magnetic field is the formless Supreme Soul. Hanuman is Brahma. He is the Creator. He is also the formless Siva in the form of a dot or Shiva Linga; it is the shape that we have given him. Such is Hanuman’s incarnation. Those who worship Hanuman will understand the principle of Pancheekarana – the division by five, sequentially. Our gross physical form will perish. But the invisible waves that pass through them live forever. We must loudly sing the praises of God so that the sound waves will come back to our rescue in our future lifetimes. Even science has documented this.

Some children even at birth have extraordinary senses. They speak of past lives. Even in the present day, where we have gadgets created to transmit and receive faraway events, we have the capacity to hear the call of a sage from ancient times. Parasurama’s name was called 21 times. He heard the call and came running to his mother like a typhoon. There was no radio transmission then. But he heard the call from far away.
Guru will certainly hear your call if you dial properly. For each area there is a code. You must use it. That is why it is said that you must pray in the morning, at noon, and in the evening. That way Sadguru keeps track of you 24/7.

Many offices are closed at night, and that is why some people do computer work at night because then the Internet load is less. This is a daily occurrence.

We spoke about the five elements. We have agreed that the Daharaakasa (the spiritual space) cannot be seen. The illusory nature of it is explained in Vanara Gita. It is not illusion. It is Jnana. To receive such spiritual knowledge from him, Hanuman received the praises. Devotion and detachment are in plenty. Swamiji is now speaking as if, in a worldly sense your missions will be accomplished if you tie a Purnaphala. Hanuman fulfilled the mission of Rama and Sita. Besides fulfilling earthly desires, Hanuman has the capacity and the power to raise you to the highest spiritual levels. Panchamukha Anjaneya Swami and Karyasiddhi Anjaneya are one and the same; the protector Anjaneya, and the devout Anjaneya, all are one. When you worship Hanuman, he removes obstructions in your spiritual path that occur while you are in the worldly life. He also uplifts spiritually. He gives four kinds of boons to those who worship Hanuman and do Nama Sankeertana, singing of divine glories. Kama, Karma, and Avidya he removes. The fourth, he gifts to you. You be thinking on these lines, while I begin to sing bhajans.

Bhajan: Hey Ganapa Hey natapa..
When God’s names are being chanted, music makes it appealing to listen to, although names may be chanted without musical accompaniment also.
Bhajan: Marakata mayi Rajesi ..
Bhajan: Akalanka charita ..
Let us now sing Hanuman’s favorite bhajan on Rama.
Bhajan: Ramam shyamala …
Bhajan: Hanuma naa mora vinumaa ..

Most of Swamiji’s bhajans are full of Vedanta. Only the refrain contains the names of God. The rest of the song is filled with deep spiritual meaning.
Swamiji’s bhajans are not composed deliberately like some poetry. The next song is in a folk tune that even villagers can sing. Swamiji has gifted to devotees all types of songs.

Bhajan: Marutiraya balabheema …

We have a special program coming up next. (video of the trip to Antarctica was shown)
