Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji – June 14, 2015 – Mysore
700 crores is the target for Hanuman Chaleesa chanting Maha Yajna.
Tenali event was the first ever event like that to take place. That is why it has fetched us the Guinness record. 2.5 lakh people chanted together. 3 crore rupees were spent for the 1 day program. It was a new devotee who organized the program. His previous Guru had left his body. During his first darshan of Swamiji, this devotee felt that his Guru had merged in Swamiji. That was his experience. He planned for 20,000 people to chant the Hanuman Chaleesa together. I said get 1 lakh people and I will come. The Christians are on a spree of converting Hindus there to Christianity. Their office headquarters is located there. I told them I wanted to eat up Tenali. Nobody understood what was meant by those words. The committee came to invite Swamiji, saying that a half-acre site was acquired and they wanted Swamiji to build something there. I postponed going there.
Kanyakumari – I forget names. I am very forgetful when it comes to names. My assistants always gives me clues to help me out. The moment a person comes to me, they mention the name of the person in greeting, so that I would know the name. It is like a curse that even Prasad’s name I forgot once. Are you Subba Rao or Srinivas, I asked.
My mind is usually elsewhere. It is not play-acting on my part. I remember past lives of people. You think of this present time only. Swamiji keeps remembering past lives of people.
Shuka Vana has now bound me here. I planned it like that, so that I will remain here for some time. The urge is always there to leave. I never get caught in bondage.
You must learn the Bhagavatam. The technical staff cry, when they have to help me with the recordings. It is a very intense affair. Nothing at all lighthearted about it. Bhagavatam is a very serious subject. Tough verses. Even for Sanskrit scholars they are difficult to enunciate. Bala Swamiji has selected only the important slokas. Still many slokas are there. We explain from the original Bhagavatam. Jayalakshmi Mata’s mother tongue is Kannada. But she read the Bhagavatam in Telugu. She wrote in Kannada, many songs based on it. In Telugu, the meaning is expressed wonderfully, better than in Kannada. Gamaka style rendering in Kannada is very good. Ajamila and Jada Bharata stories are there, a detailed description of the creation of the earth is also given. Scientific facts are fully given. One feels as if the modern scientists have read the Bhagavatam and then have stated their facts.
Fantasy films are based on the Bhagavatam. Some stories we see in films, we think are made up stories. No. They are all real facts. I see the Ramayana and the Mahabharata battles occurring now. I experience them now. The Hanuman Chaleesa sounds and Siva’s celestial dance I see. I see crores of lives come before me. It is tough for this body to bear the strain, sometimes. Nowadays, I use an excuse. I say I cannot hear. It is actually because I am preoccupied. You should understand this reason why I sometimes appear absentminded. You must never complain that Swamiji didn’t see or touch you. It is a sin to do so.
I experience many planets. I see atmospheres with ice and no air, the way the polar regions are described. Bhagavatam transcends all boundaries. People normally only read the 10th skandha. With that they conclude their study of the Bhagavatam, and give harati. Some devotional stories, such as the stories of Prahlada and Dhruva are very interesting for people to read. They occur in the last chapters, the concluding ones. The initial chapters describe how creation started, how our sense organs came into existence, and of the journey of the soul. How male and female genders, spouses, and children came into being is explained. Parikshit asks Suka: I do not follow at all. Please explain all this again. About individual souls, genes, the explanation is given. Even doctors will be amazed at the vast information given there. How to perform surgery is explained. How repeated births, and vasanas occur, is explained. Past remembrances cause the tendencies that people are born with. What happens after death is revealed. Bala Swamiji has worked hard to do this tough assignment, of compiling the information. To do this recording, one should have no disturbances in the mind. One must feel like he alone exists. Only Sri Hari exists. One must not tell these stories as if they are being told for audiences. Then it will not be proper Bhagavatam. I am using an old book. Selected some important episodes only. So many people in the team who help to prepare such episodes for presentation. Such a wonderful Bhagavatam is now being recorded.
Hanuman will be our future Brahma. He is Chiranjeevi, immortal. He lives eternally. He is getting elected to be the President for all the worlds. He is the one parambrahma. That highest position He will occupy. 20 years later it will happen. I will be present to witness it. For the total number of the population of world, that many times, the Hanuman Chaleesa has to be chanted. One chanting for each citizen if India, I thought at first. In Tenali I got that sankalpam.
What arrangements they made! Such love for Swamiji, the village people expressed. They considered that God is coming. Such devotion. What is eating Tenali? No one understood. I showed the Universal form there. Muslims distributed buttermilk to the devotees. Christians did ambulance service with several vans. Government ran special buses and trains. The arrangements were superb. Auto rickshaws were giving free rides. All shops were closed. Restaurants served free food to all the customers. In this Kali Yuga does such a thing happen? In one town can it happen? Rama Rajya it was for one day, Rama’s kingdom descended. No one lost any footwear also. Special arrangements were made to take care of them. Most people preferred to walk barefoot. “We have gone to heaven. No rebirth for us”, the devotees who attended the program firmly believed. It is true. They left all their responsibilities and work and came. It was truly astonishing. It was like the divine wedding of Mother Goddess Meenakshi or the grand wedding of Lord Venkateswara. There were 3000 cooks and servers in the food department. They made only a few items but plenty of quantity. Christians also chanted. The police force chanted along. The Governor remained, although at first he said he would only stay for a short time.
A different world was created. It was created. Everyone wondered, was it real? Even Swamiji wondered. It was like a wave in Swamiji’s life.
Everyone must chant the Hanuman Chaleesa individually and give a recording. I need 1 lakh separate videos to be sent up into space via satellite. Tenali people saw only Hanuman there, not Swamiji. Swamiji’s eyes popped out with divine fervor and excitement. I could not bear to watch the video. We see Hanumanta. Not Swamiji. People sitting even one kilometer away saw clearly. In Warangal, there were 15,000-20,000 people. The same mood was created there also.
