Sri Guru Hanuman ki Jai
In 1976, and I am still traveling in this place. I found out when I was young, that the Brahmanda Purana mentions that in Uttara Kasi is located the Sararipu river in Krita Yuga and Treta Yuga. In the first map, I saw, just only a hand-drawn map. Kalidasa also mentioned about the river Sararipu. Then slowly I enquired about this river Sararipu. At that time, I wanted to bathe in all the seven parts of the ocean on earth. Alongside, I also was going to some holy rivers and some small waterfalls. I researched for the name Sararipu and found this Sararipu river. I wanted to go to this place. In 1976 we came to America. With 15 members and with help from different friends’ groups I visited America. I said I wanted to visit the West Indies. They said nobody is there. I said, we have many people hiding there. Once Swamiji goes there, everybody will come out. Sorry Swamiji, problem finding flights, you will be tired, and flights are also cancelled. I said, no problem, tomorrow, or a few days later, but, I want to definitely go to the West Indies.
We argued for a few hours but the same day we came here. Nobody was there. But one Dr. Chandool was standing there. He knows a little bit about Appaji. He welcomed. He arranged for a house. Michael James was there with a long beard. He came yesterday. I don’t know about today. I have only a short beard. One boy is with Swamiji. He knows Yoga. He is now a big collector. Now he is a big deputy commissioner, holds a big job in the government. He showed Yoga. Slowly, the hiding people came out. I told Chandool, please, I want to go to the river Sararipu. He said, there is no such river. I asked, is there anything ripo? He said there is only one Aripo river, a small river here. I said that is where I want to go and take a bath. That is the beginning step I took. That river is Sararipu mentioned by Kalidasa in his work, and in the scriptures. We took bath. Slowly the next time, we installed a Siva Lingam. That got stolen. We installed again another Siva Lingam. We are very happy.
In the Ocean, 180 years ago, when the Indians first landed here, they built a temple with Siva Lingam. There is a small temple on the beach here, close by, they installed Lord Siva there. I took darshan. So much water was there also. That was the first visit. On the third visit, there is a miracle. I stayed at Chandrakant’s house. Sharmaji, I said, I want some land in the middle of a city. Very difficult to get, he said. My friend Ramesh Maharaj has some land in the slum area. We came to this place. I said, it does not matter. He gave five acres of land. It is yours, he said. He spoke like an old friend. Old connection. Boloji got a small temple built here. Within 24 hours Datta Temple was built. Some old devotees, and friends. How can I forget them? You may forget. I never forget. I am always blessing them and their families. I never forget even in other births, any birth, next births also, I don’t forget. This is the Truth. This is Siva Sasanam- ordinance of Lord Siva. Some devotees complain: now Swamiji does not talk to me like before, does not laugh or smile, does not look at me. All wrong. In my heart, I bless always. I bless also your dog. All members of family also I am always blessing. Don’t worry.
Slowly we built this place. Six generations back, I took birth here in this land, a short birth. May be in this same land, I don’t know, may be in Ramesh’s family, I don’t know. Big connection. I cannot explain. It is a secret. In America there is a gigantic ashram. In India there are 77 ashramas. A hundred acres ashrama also is there. Very good. Very very nice. Very big Prime ministers are also visiting all the time.
But, all the time, I want to visit here. Raining, doesn’t matter, or it is very hot, it doesn’t matter. I still visit. So many people give problems to come here. But I still come here. Hanuman came here. Ganapati, Datta, Devi Durga Mata, Rajarajeswari, Lord Siva. Then the gigantic Hanumanta 85 ft. Very beautiful and very powerful. Whoever prays with devotion, chant the prayer with mantra night and day, He will appear in your dream. He fulfills all your wishes. That energy is there in Hanumanta. I made the same Hanumanta in my ashram in Mysuru. Daily, I say this is my Trinidad Hanuman. 45-60 ft. stone Hanumanta I installed. Daily I visit this Hanumanta and say He is my Trinidad Hanuman. But no satisfaction. I come here. Traveling is very problematic.
Trinidad people are very nice, very lovely people. Very innocent. They want only Swamiji. They are running here. Swamiji also running here. I cannot explain your devotion. They say this is energy land. Scriptures say Trinidad is energy land. Now the whole world knows about the 85 ft. Hanuman. Cricket people also come here. In two cinemas, movies in India, I have seen, not love songs, but in devotional song sequences they have shown this picture of Hanumanta. World famous is this place. Good cultural programs are also going on.
This year we are making two more different temples. Satyanarayana temple and Rama Parivara temple. Very beautiful setting. Very beautiful temples. To the left and to the right of Hanumanta. These three days we inaugurate these temples. Thursday and Friday we install both temples. Sunday evening there is a historical program. Don’t miss. Saturday night Swamiji’s bhajans. Sunday I will lead the Hanuman Chalisa. Together we sit and together we chant the Hanuman Chalisa. Worldwide propagation of Hanuman Chalisa is happening now. In India also so many people don’t know Hanuman Chalisa. But Trinidad people know. Indirectly we chanted in Swamiji’s presence here before, in the same field. In temples and houses, groups are chanting Hanuman Chalisa. Special blessings of Swamiji for all those groups whom I bless directly and indirectly, all the groups. You are doing a good job. Spiritual job. Hanuman seva. Hanuman Shakti is going. Very nice.
Saturday also we have a special Puja for Satyanarayana and Rama Parivar. Don’t miss. Bring small flags of Hanuman and wave the flags during Hanuman Chalisa chanting time. Hanuman is very happy. This time good rain also came. I am very happy. Good government with good sense and good administration. People are happy. Good buddhi/wisdom now for the government and the people. Everything is good. Avoid arguments. Calmly, silently, peacefully go ahead. Indian people are also watching the live program, and listening to radio stations also. Very happy. Some people are feeling that Dharma is missing. You are not missing. In India devotion is also less. You are all staying here. You are lucky people here. Your parents and forefathers all are lucky. The children, the grandchildren are all very happy about Dharma. You are following Dharma and you are following Satya/Truth. Some situations are difficult but you are following the rules set by the deities/Devatas. You are following their orders. You give respect to Gurus. I feel very happy. This is not religion. This is general Dharma/righteousness.
Protecting yourselves, your children, your breath. Every Dharma is like that. You are also like that. Give respect to your nation. This is our land, you think. Forefathers also respected this land. I have seen so many people wanting to go to America. What is there in America? I don’t know. Here there is peace. Here you have one-time food only. But you are very peaceful. American has four times food but no peace there. You are definitely lucky. America people want to come here. Future also, it will be good. All wrongs will calm down one day. We want to see that day, Rama Rajya (the perfect reign of Lord Rama) will return. These are only temporary problems we are facing. Don’t worry. God is kind enough. God blesses us. Follow Dharma. Don’t lose your minds. Control yourselves. If loss of control occurs, you argue with God, Guru, and Atman also. Control yourselves. God has given six months back, a very bad year. I know. Slowly improvements will occur. Hanuman is blessing. He is protecting you and your land. This is the message I am giving. Please follow your Swadharma (your individual duty and virtue). One more thing. Don’t forget to bring umbrellas on Sunday evening, just in case. Without pass, no entry is allowed. So many people don’t know how to collect the passes. You find out. If you have a pass, you can come. If you don’t have, sit in your house and participate through live television program.
