So, this year too without obstacles, I am here. No amount of gratitude to Hanuman is enough. Last year I was thinking about this year. This year was going to be very busy, I was wondering what I could do, but suddenly Swamiji’s trip got fixed and we are also doing Guru Purnima here. I am very happy. Once again, I see my family members, relative, followers, friends and children. Guru Purnima is the most important event, Bhagavad Gita Parayana is the second big event and the Hanuman Chalisa chanting is the third during this trip. These are the three main items this year in these premises. I am very happy.
Today, I’m thinking about why I should sing bhajans. I want to hear your bhajans. But every one says, they want to hear Swamiji sing.
Bhajan: Om Namaste Ganapataye
Bhajan: Ambanu kolicina dakkanidemiti
You understand Mother’s energy if you understand the meaning of the bhajan. It’s really beautiful. The entire Devi Bhagavatam is in this bhajan. Each line is like a saptaham (a week long discourse/study), it’s like a book in itself. It’s got such wonderful meaning. This bhajan is a flower that bloomed during Navaratri. These are flowers offered to the Divine Mother spontaneously. They are full of deep meaning.
Swamiji’s bhajans contain stories, stories of Maha Vishnu, Siva, Jaganmata, Hanuman etc. They contain moral messages along with stories. The bhajans have powerful beejaksharas or seed letters. You can listen to one or two lines daily to realize the energy it gives you. You will feel each bhajan’s energy filling your heart. When you are in depression, when the world brings you sorrow, if you listen to the bhajan in that voice (of Swamiji), you will be reenergized to take on the world. The bhajans work both ways – they help you gain dispassion, but they also help you in the material world.
Bhajan: Datta bin har pal jivan suna
Datta bin har pal jīvan sūnā, datta sēvan kar sīkhō jīnā
Datta hī jag kā hai ādhār, datta bin jīvan hai nis’sār, datta ki karuṇa hai apār
dattā hai sampūrṇa avatār
Datta kī kr̥pā sē lūlē calē, mūk banē vācāl, saccidānand datta caraṇ kamal hai
pāp-tāp kī ḍhāl
Very simple bhajan.
Saptagiri vasa govinda…govinda
