Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji on Inner Vision – March 16, 2018 – Hyderabad
Compiled by: Smt Hira Duvvuri
Sit up with straight back, even if you are sitting in a chair. Close your eyes. Take very deep breaths. Fill your lungs to capacity. Do not have shallow breaths. Do NOT hold your breath. Exhale slowly, completely emptying the lungs. Do not leave any air remaining in the lungs. Don’t pause in between for rest. Inhalation and exhalation both must be continuous. Breathe in again slowly. Do this daily for five minutes at least. Make time for this deliberately.
As you do this, listen to only the sound of your breath. You must feel the lungs expand fully, with your sides bulging. Breathe in to your full capacity. Visualize the inner organs of your body. Recall pictures of human anatomy you might have seen in text books, or posters in doctor’s offices. You would have seen illustrations shown during healing music concerts also. Recall those figures. Visualize your own lungs, the wind pipe, the movements of those, the lungs expanding and contracting; visualize the heart beating. Visualize the kidneys, the small intestines, the large intestines, the spinal column, the blood vessels, the arteries, the veins, the clean blood, the unclean blood, the nerves going through the entire body; areas where you may have discomfort, such as stomach ache, skin problem, and so on. It creates healing energy when you focus on the inner organs of your body. Imagine the energy channels, the Nadis, as flowing rivers from Muladhara to Sahasrara, the Brahma Nadi, Surya Nadi, and Chandra Nadi. Visualize the Chakras, where countless channels converge and disperse like so many bunches.
All that exists in the outer world, exists inside your body; oceans, rivers, mountains, streams, canals, hills, caves, trees, vegetation, and so on. Entire Creation is within. Try to visualize it. Experience it. Keep listening only to the sound of your breath, and nothing else. Shut out other sounds. Don’t fall asleep. Then you will lose balance and fall down. If you feel sleepy, open your eyes to wake yourself up. Develop strong focus. This is the first step of looking within. Other advanced steps, I will teach later. Feel the workings of your body, the movements occurring within. There is great healing power in this activity. Do this regularly.
