Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji – boat ride in Ho Chi Minh City – Saigon, Vietnam – November 30, 2024

Jaya Guru Datta
Sri Guru Datta

We have all sorts of fish – good and bad. Ignore bad ones. So, there is a way to understand Swamiji.

You will see Swamiji and His ways as per your feelings. If you wear a colored glass, you will get a colored picture. Remove the colored glasses and then see. This is God’s Creation.

If you think bad, you will have to face bad. If you see something bad in an apple, just remove the rotten part and eat away the rest, but do not throw the entire apple. We have very few apples; it’s a rarity. This is how I do it. I do not throw the entire apple.

If you see a rotten apple, you cannot comment that all apples are so. Throw the rotten part and eat the good part. We do not have more apples. Isn’t this correct?

I love the entire world. I roamed all countries. We get good arrangements in some places and we do not get so in some places. We get food in a place and may not get anything in another. But, I go to all places, eat and live there.

This entire world is ours. God is everywhere. Be happy and content. If you own everything (mentally), you will be happy. You need not say it out loud. So, in that sense, this boat is mine. This does not mean I go and tell the owner of the boat that this is mine. I do have some sense. But slowly, I will befriend the boat man. This is happiness. This is contentment.

This entire world is mine. Let us say you have to pass through a sewage canal. We may cover our nose to avoid foul smell. But, who is the cause for all that waste? We, our devotees only!

If we ever have to go there, we should cover our face and then come out. Some people go there and they continue to live there, being one with the place! But we should not.

We are all on this boat, we are happy.

You secure your things. Take care of your belongings, instead of blaming others. Not every place is like Ashrama and not everyone is like Swamiji. Mysuru Ashrama is like a mental hospital because we have various types of people…And I am a big Doctor. You come to Mysuru Ashrama and keep pointing at bad people/things.

Many people praise Mysuru Ashrama as heaven. They may get their works done through bad people but still they find heaven in Mysuru Ashrama.

See about yourself. Purify yourself. You are your own master. This is what Bhagavad Gita says.

You all must have seen so much sacrifice by now since you have been following Swamiji for so many years. You must be so happy and content by now. But no! You’re not! This is your karma! I am not worried.

Lord Datta went inside the water, inside a lake, to perform penance for 1000 years. Some devotees kept waiting, whereas some others commented that the Lord is no more. After many years, Lord Datta rose from the water with a beautiful woman. She and the Lord both had barely any clothes. Lord also held a bottle of beer in His hand, drinking. Seeing this form of Lord Datta, some people felt that he cannot be their Guru, and left at once.

Some others, only about 250, felt that this was all the Maaya of Lord Datta, and stayed. Then, the Lord gave Upadesha to only those few 250 people. This was the toughest test. You need to have strong faith in Sadguru.

You must latch on to Sadguru like a leech/like a baby monkey clinging to its mother. After some time, Guru guides the disciple like a fish guides its little ones.

You are all like fish, who came with Me to Vietnam following Me.
Okay.

Does anyone want to talk?

Dr. Shiva, DKY Instructor talks:

One day, during one of HH visits my home, after Paada Pooja, I tried to be over smart and begged Sri Swamiji, “Please give me the Jnana to preach Guru tattva”.

Then, Appaji sent me here to Vietnam. So, I questioned myself, “I asked for Guru tattva but HH sent me here. Why?” Myself and my wife used to cry every day. Every Navaratri, I used to come to Appaji to beg for pardon and bless me to stay close to HIM. HH made me wait for 15 years, this means that it took so many years to wash away my ignorance.
