Today the first milk abhishekam after prathistha was done for Marakata Karya Siddhi Hanuman. Rama Taraka homa also started. Shata Shloki Ramayana, Hanuman Chalisa, Hanuman mantra parayana diksha is given to devotees. Diksha is just not taking a raksha. It is a yagna. Do it by uniting your manas, buddhi & shraddha. Follow brahmacharya, take little food, follow aahara niyama. Do not take onion. Have satvik food. Take daily head bath and evening bath too. Do the parayana with lot of nishta and firm devotion.
Rama mantra is very special. In Hanuman Upanishad, Rushis ask Hanuman that when Rama left for Vaikunta, why didn’t He take you ? Hanuman says, Rama had many responsibilities in this world like, job, marriage and so on. Rama wanted me to stay back and fulfill all such wishes of His devotees with Rama anugraha. Ihika Smaraney Prapthey – for such wishes, pray me – said Hanuman. He was very humble. Hanuman always said He is Rama Sevaka and not Hanumanta. All worldly desires are fulfilled with Hanuman smarana. Then a question arises why Rama ? Hanuman says ‘Moksha Dayakam’ – Pray Rama for Moksha – salvation. This is the secret of Rama said by Hanuman in Hanuman Upanishad. Here Hanuman shows Guru Bhakti. That is why Hanuman is always at Rama’s feet.

Sahasra naama tatsthulyam raama naama varanane
says Vishnu Sahasra nama. Rama Rama Rama… Rama if said three times, one get the merit of chanting entire 1000 names of Vishnu sahasra nama. It is made so simple. This is the greatness of Hindu sampradaya. No other tradition has this ease. How can you get the merit of 1000 names by chanting 3 names ? Can you pay 3 rupess for 1000 rupees ? No. Then How ?
The word Rama consists of two letters Ra and Ma.
In Telugu alphabets, the consonent ‘Ra’ is the second letter in Ya, Ra, La, Va and
Ma is the fifth letter in Pa, Pha, Ba, Bha, Ma series.
Thus the value of Ra = 2 and the value of Ma=5
So, when we write Rama, Rama, Rama three times as was said in Vishnu Sahasra nama, it thus becomes
Ra Ma Ra Ma Ra Ma
2 5 2 5 2 5
When multiplied, it thus becomes
2×5 =10
10×2 = 20
20×5 = 100
100×2 =200
200×5 = 1000
This is how the merit of 1000 names is gained by just saying Rama three times. Such powerful is Rama Nama.
Pibare Rama Rasam…. Ram Naam ki Madhura Malayi…. the name of Rama gives immense joy. Pujya Swamiji gave us the Shata Shloki Ramayana with this intention.
Rama Eva Para Brahma – Since Brahma Himself has descended on earth in the form of Rama, He could lead such dharmik life. A question came to my mind in Ayodhya. what is common between Rama and Guru ?

Yayor Bhakthey Rathih Paraa
Taaveva Guru Raamouve
Dharma Bhakthi Pravardhakou !!
Who ever has bhakthi in dharma, who ever is fond of His devotees, He is Rama. Then what is the similarity between Rama and Guru ? The last two lines mentions this. He who improves Bhakti and Dharma in His devotees, such Sadguru is Rama.
Swamiji upholds dharma for the protection of the society. Bhakti is needed for the soceity. Faith in dharma is the foundation. A small amount of sadhana done with devotion gives extreme results. Do not try to escape from bhakti giving some reason. You must do it intentionally. Guru follows both Bhakti and dharma. So Guru is Rama.
Sri Rama Navami is coming soon. Dattapeetham has a custom of sending silk vastras (clothes) and pearls for Sita Rama Kalynam in Bhadrachalam. It will be sent this year also. All of you participate in Rama Taraka Homa. Those who cannot come here also can do shata shloki parayana, hanuman chalisa and hanuman mantra parayana at your home in the name of Appaji and send the count to Ganesh by Rama Navami.
