Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, HH Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji and Manasa Datta – March 5, 2011 – Mysore
Jaya Guru Datta
“Today is a very good day. There is one soul who has shared my joys and sorrows, my words, my songs, and all my works. He has been a driver, an assistant, a cook, and many other things for me. He considers no job as menial or shameful. He has been to many different countries with me. He has borne many insults and has experienced many difficulties. He used to be once very angry. Now he is very calm. Through health and ill health, through praise and insults, through good times and bad times, even though once I had not spoken to him for three whole years, he has remained my right hand man throughout. I am very proud of this soul. There is no other soul like him. He is Swami Manasa Datta. It is his birthday today. Happy Birthday!”
Swami Manasa Datta was honored with a grand shawl by Sri Swamiji and received a bear hug.
Swami Manasa Datta was garlanded by Sri Bala Swamiji who described SwamiManasa Datta thus:
“He knows Sri Swamiji and nothing else. He likes dualities, like heat and cold, joy and sorrow. He received marriage proposals from 60 different girls to whom he gave the same answer that he was already married to Sri Swamiji. They have all now become devotees of Sri Swamiji. Sri Swamiji says that if there is one more soul like SwamiManasa Datta, he would be ready to live for 120 years. I will sincerely try to be a soul like SwamiManasa Dattain order to have Sri Swamiji live for 120 years. On facebook Marakata Subrahmanya samsthanam has placed a photograph of a giraffe licking a squirrel, with a caption, “The Sadguru comes down to clean the disciple.” Normally a guru does not praise a disciple. Sri Swamiji is mother, father, friend, and everything to us. He keeps his love hidden. Suddenly he expresses it. His love can only be experienced. In this age if a disciple prefers to receive chocolate instead of rice for a meal, that is what he gives. We all had a great Shiva Ratri festival. Now Sri Swamiji begins his two month tour, toAustralia,Japan, and Bonsai islands. Whatever good thing Sri Swamiji sees in other countries, he brings them toMysore. Ugadi and Sri Rama Navami will be celebrated inHyderabad. The Bhoomi Puja will be conducted in Nadu Palani for the 70 foot Subrahmanya. We all wish Sri Swamiji a very successful tour with our humble prostrations”.
SwamiManasa Datta spoke:
“I am stunned. I am totally surprised. Yes. This morning I remembered that it is my 59th birthday. But I thought nothing more about it. I will tell you this. The journey with Sri Swamiji has not been smooth. It is a very turbulent ride. But the one who is responsible for the turbulence is me, definitely not he. One very important thing needs to be understood. The Sadguru is the ultimate. Only he can cut the birth and death cycle. If this is understood life will be sublime. I have realized now that I know nothing. The energy that runs everything is here as Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji.
There used to be a small mud house here in the 1960’s built by Sri Swamiji himself. He would chase us boys with a cane and beat us up for our mischief. He spends a lot of time fulfilling the desires of devotees. But his real purpose is to elevate us spiritually, by phases. He is a high-tech Swamiji. I see him using his Iphone, IPad and IPod. He calls people at 4 AM to talk to them in different parts of the world. There is no other guru who would do that except Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Swamiji.”
Sri Swamiji said:
“A historical Hanuman temple will be built here at this Mysore. The stone for the sculpture has suddenly appeared. The Hanuman mantra should be chanted extensively, millions and billions of times, with every breath. Hanuman is the deity to be worshipped now. He is the future Brahman. When I breathe, with every breath I chant the Hanuman mantra. You can hear it. No matter what I am doing, the mantra chanting goes on continuously. You should also chant with every breath and also do the writing yagna, writing the mantra in note books thousands of times. Collect the books and send them here. At the Hanuman altar here notebooks and pens are placed. Each one can pick up a book, fill up a few pages, any number of pages, and leave the book here. The next person will continue. You need not write your name on these books that are shared. You may write the mantra in any language, “Om Namo Hanumate Namah”. You may sponsor notebooks with grid lines and pens and distribute them to all the people you know globally. On these personal books you may write your name, birth star and gotram. Collect all the books and send them here. They will be placed under the sanctum sanctorum. The previous long mantra, “Om Aim Hreem Shreem Siva Rama Anagha Dattaya Namah” was chanted and written crores (tens of million) of times. This is a shorter mantra with only nine syllables. The count should far exceed the previous one. You have to write the mantra each time. Copy/pasting, using Xerox copies, and scanning and such are not allowed.
Puttu Gam has given a birthday present. The gift arrived at midnight last night. The message was that now instead of the individual’s photograph, a family photo may be used as the profile picture for Puttu Gam members. This way the entire family will be viewed and blessed by Puttu Gam periodically. This is not compulsory. It is optional. You now have the choice to change your profile picture to that of a family portrait.
Yesterday there was a small wonder in the Bonsai garden. Mango plants were brought from Mumbai,Hyderabad,Rajahmundry, Kerala, and Mysore and were planted in the garden. Sri Swamiji planted one of them and gave it teertham. We were all waiting eagerly to see which one of the plants would yield the first fruit. The plant that Sri Swamiji had planted gave the first fruit. It is a medicated mango fruit, a fruit that came too early for the mango season. I have it here in my hand. It smells very delicious and sweet. It has a great fragrance. Some lucky person may have it.” Sri Swamiji auctioned the fruit. The bidding started with Rs.1000/- and the priceless blessed fruit was given to Narayana and Kalyani, the highest bidders who bid one lakh rupees (Rs.100,000/-) for it.
