“Sri Maha Ganapataye namah. Sri Saraswatyai namah. Sripada Vallabha Narasimha Saraswati Sri Guru Dattatreyaya namah.
Today is Naga Panchami Day. Two days, 3rd and 4th also. A very powerful panchami (fifth day in the lunar phase). Naga Panchami means, you know, for Subrahmanya Swami, the snake God, Nagaraja. They are doing special pujas. Not ordinary snakes, like those that sway to a snake charmer’s music. That is formation only. So many people are called Ramachandra. They are not the real Ramachandra. Only the name is Ramachandra. So many are called Sita. They are not the real Sita. It is only the name Sita. So many are called Guru Raja. They are not real Guru Rajas. It is just the name. So many people are just giving their own address. For example, Siva Shankara. He is not real Siva. It is Siva’s name only. The snake or serpent is only the form. The snake is not God. He came and appeared in that form and had given blessings. Some look upon all snakes and serpents as God. That is good. No problem. But the real God, the real energy of Nagaraja, he came down to this earth to give blessings to his own disciples. You should see Subrahmanya Swami. Near Subrahmanya Swamiji you see the serpents doing seva. A peacock also. It is like an angel. There is a beautiful story about Subrahmanya Swami. I remember now in theMysoreashram, Marakata Subrahmanya Swami. Bala Swamiji always likes Marakata Subrahmanya Swami. He is always chanting the Subrahmanya mantra. A very powerful mantra. I am very happy. My close devotees have their happy birthday today. I give my special blessings to you all.
If you pray, if you chant the guru mantra near the guru, during the Pratyaksha Pada Puja, the traditional puja, it is very powerful. For Pada Puja, you chant the Guru Gita, you go line by line with meaning. There is the English version also. I like Guru Gita. Swamiji’s CD is there. iTunes also has it. Guru Gita is very wonderful. I am always listening. So many miracles have occurred because of Guru Gita. Not 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5, not 108, 1000, but 100,000! So many miracles because of Guru Gita. If any problem is there, any health problem, any confusion, my devotees chant Guru Gita. So many Datta devotees are listening for 24 hours, this Guru Gita.
One day I will explain. It will take 4 hours daily for continuously 7-8 days, a Guru Gita saptaha we need, especially theTrinidaddevotees need it. They need Guru Gita pravachana, lectures, Guru Gita meaning. Definitely Swamiji will give a detailed version with detailed explanation.
Anytime you can do 7 times 7 days. Many times you can do saptaha. Sapta saptahas. You will get moksha, kaivalya. Definitely success in worldly life also. You should come daily. Very clean and very calm. Clean in mind and body. Taking only satvic food (aahaara). Saiva aahaara. Don’t eat any asaiva aahaara (unclean food). No egg, no fish also. Very satvic food. Do not eat tinned (canned) food also. Swamiji will give instructions. Seven days is enough, with Swamiji, seven times. You do in your house. Chanting of Guru Gita in the morning and in the evening, then Guru Puja and Satsang. No Lord Siva, Lord Vishnu or any other God. Only sing the Guru’s glory. Then serve bhojan, food, satvic prasadam. So many people want to do this Guru Gita vrata. For any problem. 100,000 people do even now. Only Guru Gita vrata (austerity).
So many devotees’ secret experiences we have recorded. In theMysoreashrama we have 24 hours recordings going on. Now I have stopped night time recording. Now only daytime recording is going on. In their own languages many devotees are giving their own experiences. The second hard disc is also now full. Now they are doing the 3rd. You can also come toMysoreand give your recording.
Or here also, you can do. Now here also the committee people arrange for such recordings. People can talk for 10 minutes. First show your paper with the information to the committee people, take a (video) camera, for telling what is your experience. What connection you have with Swamiji, how Swamiji heals, without interview, without knowing, without communication also, how this seer heals. You are also doing some vrata, some puja, some chanting, “Hanumanta, Hanumanta, Hanumanta, Hanumanta.” so many years Swamiji is coming. I need such experiences. Today there is a good experience with Guru Gita. You must learn by-heart (memorize) the Guru Gita. Have you by-hearted Guru Gita? It is not sufficient to only do bhajans. Take the text of Guru Gita. Swamiji is also singing Guru Gita. Play Swamiji’s CD and en masse you can join and also sing. You also memorize. Guru mahima (the glory of the Guru) is a very special mahima. I have no time to explain. Brahma Deo Narayan and also SwamiManasa Dattawill explain about Guru Mahima, about Guru, about Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara, that lineage.
Brahma created, with permission from Vishnu and Siva, the Sapta rishis (the seven sages). Then he also created male and female forms. Then they had company (the male and female) and they were creating santaana (children). Dattatreya came with his lineage. Datta is thinking, so many people we are creating, like point, point, point (tiny specks, souls, atmas) filling the whole universe. Brahma saw and thought, ‘I want to give mukti, liberation to the jivas (the souls)’. Brahma is thinking I want to give mukti to all these tiny points. Datta thought, I agree to give moksha, for all the souls to come near Brahma. So many karma people here. The seven rishis with male forms and with the company of female forms, they are creating so many children. Datta then created the Guru system. He gave the energy for giving mukti. He came and gave instructions. What happened in Kali Yuga? In the Kali Yuga, there are so many dirty things attracting these people. People have forgotten Brahma, they have forgotten God. Dattatreya came and created the Guru system. More than Brahma, Vishnu or Siva, it is Dattatreya who is giving buddhi, and jnana.
You cannot understand that science. The jiva comes down (in rain) and is going to paddy grains. The grains are eaten and the soul enters the female womb. It grows and then the female womb gives birth. That is how creation is going. Now billions, billions, billions, billions, billions, billions, billions, billions, billions, billions, and again billions, billions, billions, billions, billions, billions are being born. Then Brahma, Vishnu, and Lord Siva thought that this is not good. It is very difficult for these people to come back to my planet. They are going very far, far, far, far, far, far, far. Then they created the Guru. That is Dattatreya. The Dattatreya lineage is very interesting. It is very important. Swami Brahma Deo Narayan wanted to know about Swamiji’s lineage from Dattatreya. He was asking. I will give a little bit of the story. Then later they can give a lecture about Swamiji’s lineage. Then you will understand. Then Dattatreya came and Anagha Devi also and different types of sishyas, disciples, the Nava nathas (the nine avadhoota forms of Datta), Sripada Vallabha, Narasimha Saraswati, the guru parampara came. Came, came, came, came, and came. My forefathers were disciples. So many branches, millions and millions and millions and millions of branches. I am only talking about one branch. One great great great grandfather, Soorappa Poundareeka was very powerful. We have recorded the family tree, the lineage vriksha. It is not easy. Dattatreya himself made that powerful lineage. It is not like it happened ooosh!OMNamassivaya! (and suddenly Swamiji appeared! It is a very powerful root. It is not a temporary, dhideer (instant) Swamiji. We don’t understand. So you say, ‘Oh Swamiji, Oh Swamiji, Oh Swamiji, Oh Swamiji is giving me vibhooti, Swamiji giving me rudraksha. What power, what power, what power, what power?’ I don’t understand. Your Swamiji is also capable of giving.
But I stopped because that is my ajna (command) that came, to reform, to transform, to change your life, to change your heart, to change your karma. Now that miracle is happening. Those other miracles have stopped. Vibhooti we can get at every place, in so many stores. Rudrakshas we can get anywhere, so many places, billions of them we have. We have trees and the seeds are falling daily, eka mukhi, trimukhi (one face, three faces). I am also capable. I don’t want, I don’t believe that now. That is one level. That is only one level. We grow. We now go behind that energy. I want to change! We want to know who I am. Why are we born? What is the aim in our life? That is what I want.
Only following Swamiji, saying, Swamiji ki Jai, Swamiji ki Jai, Swamiji ki Jai, dosa, dosa, roti roti, Prasadam. Prasadam. Prasadam. Prasadam. O take, take, take prasadam. Oh car! Oh car! Oh car! Go, go, go. Enough. No respect. Is this Guru Bhakti? You learn to be humble. You learn to be kind. You learn to be yourself. You learn to understand yourself. Calm down. Energy. That is the Guru system. A guru-sishya is different. A devotee is different. If you want to be a real disciple you have to follow the guru. ‘I have no problem. I know Swamiji. He is coming every year. Since 1976 I know. He is very powerful. Seven years back he had a black beard. Now his beard is very shiny. I like Swamiji. Aha ha. I like Swamiji’s singing’. Why you came? ‘O forty years I have no children. That is why I came.’ That is all about devotees. A real disciple will not ask anything. He will ask, ‘I want bliss, I want only moksha Swami, give me enlightenment, give me jnana, lectures.’
You want small small things. Daily listening to bhajans, small small prayers your problems are finished. You pray. You will also get powerful energy. Not necessary to ask Swamiji. Swamiji’s miracles are not when you misplace your car keys and looking, looking, looking, you find them. Miracle. Swamiji ki Jai! I got a ticket. So difficult. I got a ticket. Miracle! It is your buddhi, your effort. For small, small, small, small, things don’t ask. Swamiji himself is asking, “How are you? How is your fourth boy? Got a seat? Very good. How is your mother? Last time she was sick. No. You must change the doctor”. How beautiful it is! How much energy he is giving! That is shishya, disciple. You must realize that the Guru’s name is very secret. sacred, and very secure. Guru ninda (blaming Guru), you should not do. ‘I have no right to talk. I like, I love that Swamiji. I follow. I follow some puja, bhajans, I listen to beautiful lectures, discourses. Give me the energy. I will fight. I will solve.’ You must change in your hearts, in your buddhi. Only temporary? A beautiful concert, enough. Devotees are different, disciples are different.
Go to Guru Gita and you will understand. Swamiji wants, we must do. You must wash out your ego, your misunderstanding, and serve Datta. I don’t want your misunderstandings, 2 or 3 Sabhas (organizations), only one Datta sabha. No permission. Only DYC, only one. You must respect. That is not good. Group, group, group, group is not good. Together we will pray. Krishna avatara and Rama avatara, what happened? When some angels with big ego appeared in small groups to pray, the celestials, there was no response. Then the Gandharvas joined. Later the Yakshas joined. Yakshas and Gandharvas are always fighting. When we are all together, and we pray, then there is good energy. When 333 million angels joined and prayed, all together, Namo Narayana, all together, they prayed. Then Vishnu appeared and gave the Mala, a Deva Mala. Not this mala. What kind of mala? Holding on together, holding, holding, the whole universe, holding together as friends, all angels, all together, praying, Yaksha, Kinnara, Kimpurusha, Gandharva, and some good rakshasas also joined. Prahlada, Vibheeshana, both Vishnu bhaktas. Good rakshasas also joined the devas, everyone forgetting their own ego problems, misunderstanding problems, to find solution to the problem. Then Vishnu appeared. What do you want? These rakshasa, this Ravana is giving so many problems. Then Vishnu agreed to come down as Rama as Rama avatara. Then you know about Ramayana. If you all pray together, then I will come. Your energy will count down, otherwise. Even for one person I will come. It is my duty. I will come because the Datta yantra is here. I have given it directly or indirectly. It is not a secret. It is public knowledge. You cannot have a second group. If you don’t want to join, then get out. Do not say DYC name or my name. I don’t like it. It gives me pain. Do you understand? This is a very strong Datta Center. The past is always karma. Do good now. Give respect to Brahma Deo Narayan and give respect to Manasa Datta. They are only talking jnana, not politics or business. No two groups or three groups. I don’t like. I don’t want. Get out. Don’t come here. Don’t take my name outside. I may be your guru. I agree. But don’t go public. DYC will give instructions to do anything, divya nama sankeertan outside. You must take permission to do anything. Ramesh is the President always, until I give my ajna (ORDER). Go to glory of Guru. If you have real real love. Our journey is big. Any car, any plane will go. If you are hungry, any plate will do. Even from the palm of your hand you will take food.
Today is Guru Day. Americans, Indians, you are also listening! You should remain as one tree. Remain of one thought. Be careful! Otherwise, go! We are all one. Datta system. You don’t know Datta system. In the beginning he is always like this. I am telling everyone. Leave all differences. Follow Datta. One family. Swamiji is not close to some people alone. Each one is my child. If you have a president, secretary, boy, pundit, female, male, all are my children. Rights simply in my arms.
Datta naava chal padee
A big ocean. We cannot swim. No compass. We don’t know Surya (sunlight). Cloudy. Which direction, we do not know. We want to take the Sadguru’s boat. Naav chal padee …
Very simple 2-4 lines. Complete Guru Gita is there. Our bhajan, it is not easy. It is very serious. Each bhajan is like an Upanishad.
Our custom. You don’t know our system. After Puja, all pundits chant, ‘aparaadha kshamaapana, for kaarya lopam, mantra lopam.. mantra heenam, kriyaa heenam, bhakti heenam Janaardana…’. Om Achyutaaya namah. Om anantaaya namah. Om govindaaya namah. After puja it is a custom to pray for forgiveness for faults, especially after Guru Puja. The Tamil people and the people from North India are very particular about this. Whole day you are doing Guru Puja. In the end, before going to bed, you pray, ‘Please forgive all our faults. I am an ego fellow. This blood is not good.’
Take order from Sadguru before doing anything. Anyway, this is general instructions on Guru Puja Day. I don’t hide anything. If I do, I cannot eat, I cannot sing. Now I feel very light. Follow each, each sentence out of love for Swamiji. You show how much you love Swamiji. By your following, I understand the real lover. There are two kinds of lovers. One is a moha lover, a temporary lover. Guru’s love is very permanent. Anything wrong you do, say, ‘Please forgive’. Don’t ask for anything. Only ask for forgiveness.
