Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji Discourse – Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple, Frisco, TX – November 17, 2012

Happy Deepavali!

Happy New Year to devotees from Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. Happy New Year! It’s not time to give lectures. Anyway, we have 10 days of association with the programs here. We can later speak, dance, sing etc. Dr. Prakash Rao gave detailed explanation about music for healing and meditation. He talked from his own experience. Wonderful notes. I am very happy, he is collecting different granthas (scriptures). I am very happy, once again, Prakash Rao. It is very difficult to praise music. For us, only “mounam” or silence is the answer. We can’t praise. We can’t judge. It is like Omkara. It is an experience. It is very difficult to put in to words. Very difficult to frame our grammar around it. But anyway, we need to show our respect at the level we can. I am very happy about Yogasangeeta. So many Datta devotees, Datta families, Hanuman families are witnessing today’s programs. Hanuman is here. He is Nada Anjaneya. There is a big Anjaneya in Mysore Ashrama also. It’s a 200 tonnes Anjaneya. Very, very big. There is a week long program in the Ashram starting Dec 22. Lots of miracles are happening. Some people who are following the activities understand the miracles.

So now, once again, I bless you. Happy New Year! Happy Deepavali! There are so many different festivals in this month. This is the beginning of the festivals. Each day is an auspicious day. Each minute, we can’t understand what happens, that’s a miracle too. Every minute, every second, we don’t know what’s going to happen. We are only followers. We are followers of Time. Time is running, we are also running with time. We can’t win. Time will always win. We will always be defeated. Because time is Kala. Kala is Dharma. So, we are only following Dharma. We can’t fight, we can’t argue with Dharma, with Kala. Why? Don’t ask why. If you ask why, why, why, why, why, it’s not good for Dharma. You can’t call it karma (your fate). Just follow. No results. Be satisfied and just follow. Whether it’s good or bad, just follow Dharma. Because our life is a big drama. Earth is like a stage. We are all puppets. Brahma is Sutradhaari (director/puppeteer). He is the director. We are spectators and actors. And this is our fate. What is fate? Again karma. Again karma means Dharma. So, you have a chance now in this drama. You are all actors. Get a good chance. You must follow whatever actions you need to, for Dharma. Do as your director says. Brahma is the director, you must follow. Because he is Sutradhaari and this is a puppet show. In a puppet show, there are so many different hands, so many different legs, different, different things happen. Have you seen a puppet show? Like that, this life is a big puppet show. We are all puppets. Intellectual puppets. There is an invisible sutra (thread) that Brahma is holding. You have two hands. But, Brahma has many and he’s holding the invisible threads. Brahma has 4 heads and 8 arms, but you have only two. He’s holding and controlling the sutras (threads). This is Ashtabhoga, Ashtakarma. The 7th thread is a big subject when we talk about sutras. Not Brahma sutra, only sutra, vidhi sutra. I will explain later what vidhi sutra is. We should really understand what vidhi sutra is. It is a science. We should understand the science and technique of vidhi sutra. Then we will have more peace and happiness. That is why you should listen to Guru Bodha (Guru’s teachings). Reading books is not enough. I am very happy. I wish my Gujarati devotees, Uttar Pradesh devotees, Haridwar and Rishikesh devotees. I am very happy.

Happy New Year!
