Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji on Jayalakshmi Jayanthi – Jayalakshmipuram – 15th May 2013
Swamiji has recently visited houses of many devotees in Mysore. Some of them have been silent devotees for more than three decades. Some of them are devotees from three generations in the family. Some of them are in highly placed professions like Doctors, Executives, Business stalwarts, etc. Swamiji had promised them long back and fulfilled their wish. Despite brief ill health, Swamiji has come all the way from Mysore just to see you all and share your love. There haven’t been rains for a long time here. You must all pray to Mata Jayalakshmi to shower abundant grace and prosperity in this area. She will certainly do so. You must all do service wholeheartedly to Mother Goddess. She will bless you bountifully.
Every experience in our life is important. Likewise every person in the society is important. Every job should be respected. We should realize this, respect everyone and acknowledge the services rendered by them. For example, if you don’t respect the photographer, your marriage photos will not be good. If you do not respect the cook, the food will not be good. Instead of cursing the mistakes of somebody, try to see how such a thing can be avoided. You remember doctor only in pain then you forget about him. You should never forget the help rendered to you by anyone at any time. You should always remember Guru, not only at the time of difficulties but also when you are happy. Whatever service you offer to Guru is only for your betterment and becomes a positive bank balance of merit in your account. Guru returns it back to you with bountiful interest at times when you are in great difficulty struggling in life. Remember, Guru is your only friend in sorrow and despair. So don’t forget Him when you are happy in life. Due to dire circumstances even if you are to face difficulties in life, they will be warded off easily. You will also attain immense strength to face them. Out of immense love towards Swamiji you are all worshiping Mata Jayalakshmi today. You must all join hand in hand to improve this Ashrama. Then Swamiji will come more frequently.
Today a team from Hyderabad is performing a dance show in the evening at Nada Mantapa on the Dwadasha Sooktis (12 commandments) given by Mata Jayalakshmi to Sri Swamiji. They have requested Swamiji to be present. Swamiji will be returning back to Mysore today to bless those devotees too.
