Parrot sarees, parrot T-Shirts, Parrot books, Parrot CDs, Parrot stamps – so many materials about parrots are available at the book stall. The money, every single penny goes to parrot project. You saw last night the injured parrots. They suffer because they experience karma. Even to die to escape pain one needs to earn the eligibility/yoga. Only some parrots have to come to Swamiji amongst millions of birds in India. You do seva to them to remove your karma by giving seeds or money. Go puja/Cow worship, Go danam/donating cow, Go rakshana/protection of cow are deeds that benefit the ancestors. Go puja is our tradition.
Each living creature should be served. We all pass through different levels. Puranas and the Vedanta give lessons to human beings. We must render service to each living being. Each animal serves human beings. How? We behave like animals in our talking and in our actions. Animal qualities exist in our minds and we all passed through those animal karmas. We respect our ancestors by serving the animals because we were once living as those animal species. After animal we take birth as human. Water animals/aquatic creatures came first. We were first born as fishes. Fishes are there, billions of them in different species. In the mother’s womb we were like fish. Then like four-legged animals inside the mother’s womb. Then slowly we became like flying birds. Then we come out into this world. Mother suffers pain and discomfort while carrying the child in the womb and while giving birth. We give intense much problem to mother to take birth. We incur Matru Dosham/sin against mother. It is the biggest sin, to give pain to mother. Saints do not wish to take birth for this reason. Even to our animal mothers we gave pain when we took births as so many animals.
Kannada saint says,”I took birth from so many wombs, as fish, animals, birds and then as so many humans. My duty is to worship and to concentrate on my Creator. This worldly attraction makes me commit sin. I do not wish for more Janmas/lifetimes. I am always a servant. No matter how many lives I live. I do not want more lifetimes. Life begins with the sin of giving pain to mother. Enough. Over one hundred thousand Janmas I have taken. Each time 84 Lakhs (8,400,000) lives as each of the 84 lakh species. Like this again as each of the 84,00,000 species. As humans again so many lifetimes, 84 lakh times. Guru is like a green signal. He helps for me to change my mindset. Past genes and tendencies/samskaras pull me strongly towards the world.”
For devotees, only sadhana and meditation will help. I can’t concentrate. Devotion I can’t develop. The mind always pulls me back, are complaints given by devotees. Pull of gravity of janma karma is like earth’s gravity. It has a very strong pull. Until death you must meditate. Japa, puja, listening to Vedanta are important to do, as much as possible. Complete your life. No more janmas. Without desire you must listen and live. You will have parents, house, boyfriend, girlfriend, marriage, and life as householder (Grihasta dharma).
Brij family is a great example in North India. Visit. No TV, radio, clock, or telephone in their homes. Man will be working. Big officer. Car is office car. Children in hostel. Good training they all have. Very simple. Children also lead a simple life. No motorbike (two wheeler). I have seen such devotees. I am proud of them. Modern family. Still, no sofa. Sit on the floor. Grow a vegetable garden and trees in the backyard. Very happy with no regret for lacking physical comforts. They give their all to guru. Between Mathura and Brindavan. Krishna devotees. Simple. Ph. Ds they have. Good experience and knowledge about science. Experts in their own field. Farmers also. Some families have no children. Very happy. Very detached. That you must develop. Swamiji, temple, dharma are all here because of devotees like them. So many Swamiji devotees are also like that. The do not spend on things but give everything to Swamiji. Many things people purchase and after two days they remain unused. People simply spend to purchase and then dump the things in the house. Only for two days they are interested in them. Then they are not used. In Chennai/Madras I have such devotees. I live for such devotees. I have some connection with them. So contented they are. Machilipatnam devotees are like that, some of them. No clothes cabinet even, in their homes. Someone asked them. Did you clear the home because Swamiji is coming? No. They always live like that. Very simple lives with contentment and detachment.
Neighbors worry about 8 unmarried girls in the family. But the family is happy. Others taunt about people not having children. Driven into illusion. They are jealous to see their happy and free state. They poke and ask, no heir? Do not cry. Simply taunt back. Why? Do you wish for my inheritance? Be strong. Can you buy children in a market? So many children people have. But in their old age the parents go to old age homes. What is the use? Childbirth is result of lust. The children come 3 days after death of parents when the body is rotting or already taken away for cremation. They miss their flight and are delayed.
You do not follow these words. You ignore these words of wisdom. You are eager to die in illusion. After 2 girls the devotees come to Swamiji and ask for a boy or the other way around. No detachment at all. Not even verbally. No detachment in thought or words. Have 20 kids, and a big house. Not even interested in listening about vairagya.
No God, there is no God, you say. I agree. I ask, but why not you do research? You will be convinced that there is God. But you have demonic minds. Anandanga/gladly you do not do. You stop others from giving to charity/to Swamiji. O, you give everything to Swamiji, they taunt you. You must retort, Yes, I give to Swamiji. Why, should I give you instead? It is my will and wish. I give to Swamiji because I get good peace. People criticize, O so much money you give away. They try to corrupt your Mind. You do not even retort but get influenced by such words. You must not listen to such people. Do not publicize your charity. Do not give accounts to friends. Anonymous giving in Hundi is the best. So many people give cheques/checks and beg to remain anonymous. Friends complain. They are jealous that you did not give them but gave to Guru. There are 2 kinds of charity. Do as a family/with family or else, do secretly. The left hand must not know that the right hand has given. Within 10 minutes the mind changes. Do it at once. This money is not ours. Swamiji gave us this. This is a debt we owe him from our past Janma/lifetime. Clear it now. At once.
These are all the different ways to end Janmas/rebirths. So many good things to do. Fulfill pledges to Hanuman quickly. Otherwise, like Venkateswara He may also begin to collect interest from you.

Till now we listened to Hanuman’s Veena. Hanuman used to play a veena similar to this, as seva to Lord Rama. Once, Narada and Tumburu got into an argument. Each claimed his own musical supremacy. They approached all the deities to get their judgment. Even Siva could not decide who between them was a better musician. They then approached Vishnu. He felt that they were both equal in their prowess. But they would not accept that. They demanded a definitive answer. Vishnu said that he was not competent enough to judge and would refer them to one who is most knowledgeable in music. If Vishnu Himself speaks like that, then what can be said? It means that music is an immeasurable and unfathomable ocean. Lord Hanuman was beckoned and asked to declare which of these two musicians was the superior one. Hanuman said, to be able to do that, I would have to administer a test. Without testing I cannot determine. The musicians then made fun. What! A monkey is going to judge us? How is that possible? How can he give the result? Vishnu convinced them that Hanuman is truly capable. They exclaimed, What! Do we have to play our instruments and sing in front of this monkey? Not necessary.
Timburu and Narada had similar Veenas. The Veena actually belongs to Hanuman. Hanuman said, I will merge your two Veenas. Both were made into one Veena. They were stripped of all the frets and the strings. Monkey acts. He bit off the different parts of the Veena. He kept the instrument on a rock. Now you may sing, he said. They went to fetch the instrument. Hanuman said you must first worship and then only take the Veena. I will first sing in worship of the Veena. Hanuman picked the raga Gundakriya and Hanuman sang snapping his fingers to keep the rhythm. (These days no one sings that raga. They neglect it.) The rock melted to Hanuman’s music. The Veena got stuck in it. The rock then hardened around the instrument. Then Hanuman said you may now sing. Narada and Tumburu wished to retrieve their musical instrument to keep the drone. Hanuman said, can you not sing without Shruti? Hanuman sang without any instrument to maintain the pitch. Hanuman said you melt the rock with your music and retrieve the Veena. They did all they could. They praised Rama in song. But nothing worked to melt the rock. Mantras also did not work to melt the rock and loosen the instrument. Then Hanuman sang in ecstasy more praises of Lord Rama. Once again the rock melted. Hanuman urged them to quickly pick up the Veena. Then they retrieved the Veena. The rock hardened again. Now, Hanuman said, Okay, you sing now. By then the two musicians realized their misplaced arrogance about their knowledge and expertise in music. They bent their heads in shame, acknowledging both the humility and the musical skill of Hanuman. Hanuman had never bragged about his talent in music. How wrong we were, they said in utter remorse. In the end they sang Hanumathodi raga to extricate the Veena.
I remember the story. I remember Ravikiran’s father who played for Swamiji, He was very famous. His father played in Mysore. In cinemas they introduced this veena a couple of times. Kiran (Sri Ravikiran) got such a yoga to play this Veena and has rendered seva to Hanuman. He wishes to offer seva here by conducting a benefit show. Whoever is chosen by Hanuman to render seva here should be given an ample chance to do so. The Lord’s wish must be honored. Ravikiran is very popular here. Many will purchase tickets. Please utilize the opportunity here. It was an excellent music program today. We were told that there would be no bhajans today. But this program was wonderful. Srimad Basara Saraswati song was composed in front of the deity in Basara by Swamiji. He played the bhajan beautifully. Today during the Sri Chakra Puja the deity was decorated as Mother Goddess Saraswati. The decoration was exactly as in Basara. It was Saraswati Puja today. Each day they do a different decoration here. Very nice decoration. She presides over speech. It is only by Her grace that we are able to speak. As soon as possible let us make use of the benefit show.
Yoga Sangeeta is reaching wonderful yoga sangeeta to all of us. The Yoga sangeeta president got here just in time. They are all doing great seva. The key person is Chundu. A big team is offering great service. Chundu is president and leader to get many artists to give their musical offerings. Please support it and strengthen it. In the beginning, to organize the email program from Swamiji Hanuman Setubandha was designed. It brought so much awareness. To kill Ravana the bridge was built. Now to destroy evil in devotees this bridge is built. Setubandha messages are now changed to MMS. Give me details so that I can give additional prasadam. Beautiful, unexpected program today.
