These simple exercises with Pranayama you do twice daily at sunset and sunrise. This equals walking 15 km. Sit in your room and do two times morning and evening. Calculate that you are walking 15 km. It will burn fat in the body. You should control your food. Doing these exercises without controlling food is no use. You will feel like eating after this exercise. Only drink water. Don’t eat. After walking also, only drink water. Don’t eat any fatty foods, only fruits and vegetables. Control the intake of rotis also. Take only a little bit of rice and a little bit of roti. Eat some mixed salad and lots of fruits with water content. eg. Water melon, papaya, and cucumber. You can take plenty of these. These will help control your hunger. Avoid spicy and hot foods. Once in a while, occasionally you may eat. Don’t create daily occasions. Be careful. You can drink vegetable product milk like Soya milk or other varieties available in the market. Not cow’s milk. You take a little of bit rice only daily. Make a habit of eating this kind of food. You can take plenty of food, but not oily food. You must avoid cheese and bread. Bread is not only wheat but has other things mixed. It is only for an emergency.
Do Pranayama, walking, swimming (best), but don’t use treadmill often. Only occasionally. Otherwise you may hurt your knees. If there is no place to walk, keep Swamiji’s photo in the middle and do pradakshina/go round and round, for 100, 300 or 1000 times. Do it for 30-45 minutes. Do the same at the temple. After darshan, walk round and round the building. This gives benefit in two ways. Spiritual and physical exercise. If you come to Bangalore ashrama, you will see so many coconuts which people tie for Hanumanta. So many people there doing pradakshina early morning. They offer one coconut to Hanumanta and they chant Om namo hanumate namaha with controlled inhalation and exhalation and they walk round and round. If you go for one month daily, without missing even one day, then you feel guilty if you miss one day. If there are no swimming pools, this is a good solution. Swamiji is happy, temple is happy to get good members, deities are happy, and you get your walking done. Do it 40 times or 100 times and keep chanting the mantra Om namo hanumate namaha. Develop this good habit.
In ancient times also temples were built for this purpose. One is for physical exercise and the other is that it is a peaceful place. When you are doing pradakshina, don’t talk. Don’t talk on the phone. Switch off your telephone. Walking and talking on the phone is not good. If you have to talk, stop walking, finish your talking and then resume your walking. It is an offense in Yoga to talk while walking. In America, in the car it is an offense to talk on the phone while driving.
Yoga is very precious for our health and knowledge. We are such lucky people to get this Kriya Yoga training. It is not for fashion. It is our duty to practice to maintain the health of our body and mind. It helps to give good service to Swamiji. Family is also very happy that your health is good. They also will develop good habits. You must reduce your body weight. You must control your weight. Otherwise heart blockage problem, kidney problem, back problem, knee problem, so many problems come and you have to go to the hospital for operation. It is not a good life, I think. All the time you go for repair and driving your body. You must control even if you had problems in the past. Past is past. Take some medicines. Be aware now. Be regular and then you will understand.
Each one should take a vow, I will do Swamiji. Next time I come I will ask. You will be very happy. Also you can give this knowledge to your family members and friends. See my mind is very clean. My body is very clean. Kriya Yoga exercises are not tough. They are simple exercises. Within 15 minutes they are all finished. You benefit in 15 minutes the equivalent of walking 15 kilometers. Such energy you will gain. You must also control your food.
Some people drink coffee and tea so many times. It is okay to drink them without milk. Not with milk. With milk is not good. Europeans drink some different kind of a tea. That is a medicinal tea. Original tea is also good. Plenty of water is good for the body. In our body system it is always dirty inside. To clean your inside, you can drink drink drink. Your motion problem, urine problem also get cleaned. Drink only pure water or boiled water.
This is all simple advice. You know what Swamiji is saying but you are not applying it in your life. Practical application is very important. Take an oath. Start walking. your medicines will reduce. Your happiness increases.
Get good sleep. 7 hours sleep is okay. After 50-60 years 4-5 hours sleep is enough. In the afternoons do not sleep. Study, do computer work, wash your clothes, clean house, or do garden work. Same time work is done and exercise also and you have a clean house. Mentally daily Swamiji , if he sees clean homes. Some houses he does not come because the house is dirty and the human mind is also dirty sometimes. So I refuse to go into their dreams also. Now very less in dreams because your house, clothes, and mind are dirty. Your bed and sofa smell. Some insects are there. Close your eyes and ask Swamiji why are you not coming? Be clean physically and mentally.
Don’t think this is not my job. It is my wife’s job or my servant’s job. It is your house, your sofa, your clothes. Dirt causes diseases and mental illness. If you are not clean, you will not enjoy peace.
Go to Swamiji’s room/prayer room. So many photos, and so many powders, and so many old agarbathis. Hundreds and thousands of photos. Why? One or two photos are enough. Photos are not giving protection. Keep photos all along the walls if you like, spread in the entire house. But in your prayer room, only keep one or two murtis/idols. So many murtis you keep like it is a Swamiji market. It is not good. Only one or two photos are enough. 2-3 books to study you may keep. One agarbathi is enough. These days the agarbathis are not good. They are mixing chemicals. It gives throat and asthma problems.
Our devotees have agarbathi factories. But you do not obtain from them. You buy outside. One candle is enough. Don’t keep so many candles. It will spoil your inhalation and exhalation. Keep your Swamiji’s room clean and neat like this. You do this and test it. You examine. Then give me your opinion as feedback.
Swamiji’s room should not be a store room, like a big store. Dump all things inside one cabinet. To represent all gods, you keep one God photo only. If you want, you may keep mother and father photo. Keep enough place for one or two people to sit. That is your house-temple. Discipline is important in Kriya Yoga. You will see the result in your mind.
Your hall also is your Swamiji’s room (prayer room). Switch off your TV. Play some meditation music in low volume. Sit comfortably and meditate. Tell the children not to disturb you while you are meditating. Tell them to stay in their rooms. If you make it a habit of this, everyone else in the family will join you. Tell them that it is good for their studies and their health. Tell them to do just for 5-15 minutes. Afterwards they can go and play. This is not tough. It is very easy. You can do this practice daily. Keep the house clean.
Daily with lukewarm water with a little bit of salt, clean your nose twice. If you do this, you will not catch a cold. Otherwise you will be constantly blowing your nose and sneezing. Slowly your cold will go away. Trinidad people are very healthy. No cold weather here. 99% people are very nice and soft. It is very difficult to travel and come. But still, I come here.

Some birds are injured, some cannot see, some have no wings and they cannot fly. Some birds are sick. They talk, they sing mantras. One bird named Kali has a video on Youtube. It has 5.5 million views and so many comments also. It is Shuka Vana’s hero. It says Kali, Meenakshi, Happy Birthday Appaji, Datta, Jaya Guru Datta, tell (Cheppu in Telugu), Namassivaya, Hari Om Tatsat. Rama, Good morning, Rama rama rama, Om namassivaya, No, I love you, come, step up, it speaks different languages. Kali, kali, kali, Datta datta datta, kiss me. This bird talks 40 words in three languages.

Pahi Pahi Gajanana with rhythm and tone (correct pitch/shruthi) you can sing. No problem. It is easy to sing. In fifteen days it will be your bhajan. But you think this is rough. Eating is not rough. Sleeping is not rough. Drinking coffee, tea, or cola not rough. I am also drinking tea, this big cup of tea. In Kannada language we say like animals drinking dirty water two or three buckets at one time. Like that bhajan also you can drink, drink, drink.
Once you sit and practice, the habit develops, with love, devotion, and affection. You can feel Swamiji is here somewhere listening. You can smell the vibhooti smell of Swamiji. Maybe my Swamiji came here. Yesterday night I sat in the sofa eating fruit. Maybe Swamiji also joined me. Also when I am sleeping. Like that you can develop the feeling that Swamiji and your Hanumanta are always within sight, near you.
Without doubt they are protecting you. That devotion you develop, develop, develop. You are then very happy. You walk and Swamiji is walking behind you. Such strong faith you can develop. Lord Hanumanta is walking. I am a Ganapati devotee. My Ganapati, and my Lord Siva are also walking with Swamiji. Maybe He knows everything. The truth about me Swamiji knows. Not fear but a feeling of security. You believe and you are very strong in this universe, this illusory world/Maya Prapancha. In this Kali Yuga. It is a big, big yantra. It is not necessary to have any physical yantra, mantra, or lemon with spell. Invisibly your Swamiji protects you. Such a feeling you can develop. Such a powerful meaning is there in our bhajans.
