Murali has explained using shlokas, songs, poems, and so on to give his wonderful welcome speech. Had his voice received better training, then we can then listen to him for any length of time. Practice singing in a steady shruti. Then you will become a great Hari katha artist, Murali. Sethuraman from Kerala was initially a businessman. Never came for bhajans. 40 members in his extended family are all devotees. His father complained that this son never comes for bhajans.
In Mysore ashram, anytime funds were needed, this family would be approached and they would readily give. For Sri Datta Venkataramana Swami, for any required seva, they would give funds in advance. What will I do with this excess wealth? He says, my father has left me great wealth. He took nothing with him. He merely showed us Swamiji and told us to serve him.
Father said, elder son and grandchildren come for satsang. But the younger son never comes. He attends only to the shipping business. Father’s penance was worrying about the younger son. Swamiji said: Do not worry about him. I will one day make him a Bhagavathar. Father was very pained about this son. This boy gets irritated with bhajans. Swamiji said, one day he will prominently lead bhajans.
That is what Krishna told Uddhava. This message should reach everyone. Share it with everybody. It is a very great secret. You tell Vidura. You speak with Maitreya Rishi. The dialogue between Vidura and Maitreya will be revealed by Narada. Suka Brahma will disclose it to King Parikshit. A very great secret about the Soul, Atma Rahasya was shared by many people who all gathered at one place and experienced that divine vision. Sri Krishna finally said, you all have to do this. It is not possible for me to handle it alone. I am now going back to my supreme abode/Paramapada after living for 120 years. He said, now you propagate this truth in the world. Each one must spread it. Sadguru Seva is not an exclusive right of only a few. You cannot just reserve it for a chosen few. The chance must be given to each one. Let the ignorant person do whatever is within his capacity. A writer must be given an assignment to write. You should not say: Who are you to write? I will do the writing myself. If a person has the capacity to donate 10 quintals of rice, he should be allowed to do it. Whatever each can do, they should be allowed to do that service. One person is able to supply medicines. That is possible for him. If we have to purchase them, we will be spending lakhs and lakhs of rupees. He goes from factory to factory and collects medicines in Swamiji’s name. People complain that he does not come to the ashram. It does not matter. He says it is enough for him if Swamiji knows about his service.
He is like the sun. He shines through everyone. No one should ever be discouraged from doing any type of service. Every single person has the right to serve Guru. One who serves Guru will always succeed. Some supply clothing.
Some people support the hospital. One may have a hot peppers business and can only supply those. One can just send money. One may serve food. One may just wear a uniform and stand there to show discipline. One must not refuse the opportunity to anyone who wishes to serve. Swamiji belongs to the public. You should not hurt anyone’s feelings by bluntly telling someone off.
You encourage people to do whatever is within their capacity and affordability. Even an elephant, a spider, monkeys, and Shabari with fruits contaminated with saliva offered services to God. Swamiji receives all types of service. Do not tell people they should not chant Vedas. One may be able to visit schools, distribute sweets to the children and teach them to chant the Hanuman Chalisa. He can perhaps generate a count of 2 crores of Hanuman Chalisa parayan. You should not say: I do not want Hanuman Chalisa count of 2 crores, I only want rupees two crores. If you discourage like that, you will neither get the Hanuman Chalisa count, nor even 2 paise of money. Whatever service you can offer, you should be able to offer, be it a flower, a leaf, or water. Some know how to chant the Veda. He offers that service. Swamiji’s is a Universal Form. Therefore, the authorities at the ashram must never belittle anyone. If necessary beg them to offer their services.
Those who are unable to continue their services after some time, should inform ahead of time. That way, we will understand and will find replacements. Guru Seva is very special. All four Vedas praise God. If one Veda fails, the other three will continue. Many times Swamiji assigns the same task to several persons. That is Swamiji’s nature. Sometimes the work is done by two different people and Swamiji is happy. If one fails, the other will be depended on. If a person is unreliable, then Swamiji cannot risk any project stopping half way. Projects must continue without interruption. I always keep extra vehicles handy as a standby. Coal must be constantly fed to make the railway engine keep running. It has to take the passengers to their destination on time more or less. Keep a generator handy just in case electricity supply fails. In the Nada Mantapam we always keep the generator also running alongside to avoid interruption of Swamiji’s programs. These are all preplanned.
If someone is misled and having negative thoughts about Swamiji, such persons should be corrected and persuaded to think in the right way. People should not remain indifferent. Later they say they knew beforehand that such and such a person would cause disappointment or that the work would fail. Such persons who fail to correct a wrong situation in a timely manner, are more at fault. One should alert Swamiji if someone is unreliable. One must sacrifice and let go the unreliable servers. You cannot remain diplomatic and be friends with both Swamiji and the ones who betray him. That is impossible. If you know that a person is unworthy, you must leave his company or leave Swamiji. You cannot associate with both at the same time.
You must not listen to complaints or abuse about Sadguru. When you stop and listen to such bad talk, you are also sharing in his sin. You must at once protest and tell the person off. You must not entertain such a wretched mentality of tolerating such talk. Give up bad company. You have to break bad relationships where Guru and one’s mother are blamed. Your personality is revealed in the way you behave. Swamiji pretends not to know anything. But be observes everything. I am more devious than you are. You do not know it. He appears very innocent and acts ignorant. I hold everything in my heart with the faith in you that somehow, someday the person will improve. Swamiji’s life’s mission is that. Swamiji always greets the person who lacks faith and discipline. It will fool and confuse you that he is so friendly with a bad person. Swamiji tries in different ways to transform bad persons. He will try to teach dharma softly. Then he will cause him to fear justice. Or, he will cause breaking of relationships and cause difficulties. Or in the end he will punish, as a last resort.
The first and foremost duty in Guru Seva is to refuse to hear or tolerate Guru Ninda/negative talk about Guru. Slap the person verbally in a way that the person is put to shame. You must make him hang his head in shame for his evil tongue. You must never listen to gossip and wicked whisperings about Swamiji. You may go to a restaurant together but your ways must remain different. You must continue to be a loyal servant to Swamiji.
Manmatha year will be good for those who faithfully serve Guru. Mother Goddess’s son is Manmatha. Illusion/Maya, we must overcome. He is not Cupid. That is a wrong notion. He is shown in the trash movies as a fellow who shoots floral arrows and instigates passion and causes romance. It is not the disturbance caused to Siva so that he begins to run after Parvati. That is drama. That is a corrupted way of projecting the concept. Manmatha is the one who fulfills desires and teaches the principle about Mother Goddess. He punishes as he satisfies desires, and then he develops dispassion and detachment.
It is not singing duets in a corn field, because Cupid shot his arrow. Those dirty songs are not the job of Manmatha. Children, small children who are divine, learn such songs and sing on television. The parents encourage and promote such things instead of teaching them good classical dance. I feel sad to hear small children sing such songs and do such crazy dances which are provocative. The child thinks that people are appreciating her movements and for receiving applause, is ready to even take off her clothes. We must protest such shows. We must take a stand against such behavior. Do not criticize meat shops. You must stop eating meat. Then the shops will go out of business and will go elsewhere. All appear like good persons. All are brahmins here who are supposed to eat Satvic food only. But the egg shops and meat shops in the area are thriving. Then who are the customers who are supporting such businesses? We must keep a hidden camera and observe to find out the truth. The actual culprits do not visit the shops. They get the stuff delivered by others. They will not expose themselves.
Why should we not eat meat? Meat eating causes many diseases such as kidney problems, heart blockages, and so on. You may say: I don’t eat any meat. Why did I get heart blockage? You ate an excess of cheese, ghee, and curds. These are all animal products. Such excessive eating is harmful. Vegans do not even consume these items. Do walking, exercises, and Pranayama and you will maintain good health. Some people have flooring that is smooth as a reflective mirror. Even on the day of housewarming, the people of the house fall down and give good business to the doctors. She has to be attended upon by people. Even the guests who arrive, admire the ceiling of the house and slip and fall. They notice the floor after their fall. They break bones and are carried away in an ambulance. New homes generate great business for doctors. My children die from fright when they visit homes like that with flooring that is smooth as glass. They apply so much lotion to Swamiji’s feet and make it so smooth like baby’s feet. It makes Swamiji slip and fall. They keep huge bottles of lotion. My feet have now become so soft like baby’s feet. Now I forbid people from applying lotion to Swamiji’s feet. It is so dangerous for Swamiji to fall down and get injured. Only if people have non-skid flooring I will agree to visit their homes.
This is sounding funny. But this is actually a spiritual message. Swamiji is comparing the human mind to the smooth flooring.

Without fail, every one of you must participate. The counting is done by some children in the US. Now we have completed 18 crores. But I am worried that most of you are not participating in this Maha Yajna. Once it is completed, you would have missed your chance. 40 is the minimum count. You can do it by yourselves or join with more people to complete it faster. Get it done by groups in schools, old age homes, orphanages, and colleges. You may also supply some food to them. I am seeing all the photos spending one hour each night. I am not seeing the photos of people I know. I do not know when you will begin to do it. Raise hands how many of you are doing it. Raise hands how many of you have determined right now to do it. You may take selfie photos with your mobile phones. Do not feel shy to share your photos. You after give for ration card, railway ticket, flight ticket and so on. It is not for match making. Even old people should participate. Chant along with the children. I want the photos of every one of you, along with the count. In your hometowns, get this done.
Now let us do one time Hanuman Chalisa. Play Appaji’s recording. Let us see if they will join in and sing with it. Play it loudly. Play it from the beginning.
Many people listen on IPad and IPhone and so on. Now in the Mysore ashram television watching has entirely stopped. They only listen to Hanuman Chalisa. I wish that everyone of you will follow that example. I may conduct a contest on chanting the Hanuman Chalisa from memory without any errors in the shortest duration. In this recording it takes 3 minutes to complete the prayer once. But it can be done in two minutes or even a minute and a half or less.
Swamiji is going to Dallas for 40 days for the consecration of the Hanuman Temple. The Christian neighbors of the temple are cooperative. There are temples in the USA built about 50 years ago. In recent times it is more difficult to acquire land for building a temple. About 10 Telugu families took bank loans on personal surety and bought the land. I was surprised at their daring. They had not even built homes for themselves. They said they only wanted Swamiji. Even their spouses are mad with devotion. In Baton Rouge there is a small Gujarati Temple with restricted parking and a small facility. They were not satisfied with it. They wanted a large temple. The ashram near Pittsburgh in the forest gets too cold in the winter time.
Such a Maya. Such a huge Telugu group has developed a colony all around the Temple in Dallas. Some family will go and sit there in the temple if no one else goes also. Already a temple is there. Now they have acquired more land for a larger parking lot. They keep adding buildings. Hanuman is helping them. In July the consecration will take place. Now Swamiji has to keep his word and spend 40 days there because earlier he had given his word that he would do so at the time of consecration. There also Hanuman Chalisa Yajna will take place. I want the Indian devotees to do more chanting without losing a moment prior to that celebration. Make those who do not know, at least sit and listen to the Hanuman Chalisa without talking. In the end, they will at least say Jaya Hanuman. Soon enough they will learn the whole chant. Even my birds are learning to singing Jaya Hanuman.
They sing Om namo hanumate namaha. You have seen that. You are not any less than the birds.
