Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji – evening – November 7, 2015 – Swaroop nagar, New Delhi

… (beginning is missing)

Many are giving monthly contributions for the maintenance of this beautiful and powerful ashrama. Swamiji is very happy that they have not forgotten Swamiji or this temple.

God has given funds. Regularly contribute and those who wish to help the children, come forward now. At school they learn and thrive. Once they go home their lives are difficult. They are very poor. This is a small service done by our Ashram for running this school. You should come support the teacher and the school. Every month give some amount for this.

I have a list of donors here. I am very happy. I thought that devotees have forgotten this Saroop Nagar location. I am very surprised at this strong support and devotion for Swamiji from this list of donors. I want their names announced in the microphone. This is your Ashram.

In India we have many ashramas. The devotees run the ashramas. I do not give anything. They give service – Yoga Daan. Then their difficulties go away. The ashrama is your home. All of you are Datta’s family and Mother Goddess’s family. Render more service. We need a better roof. More work is pending. Do as much as you can. It is all in the hands of Kalika Mother.

What you have done, pleases me very much. You can hold a meeting and build a good roof and an upstairs. Repairs to be done all the time is not good. Get together and take the responsibility. Datta is our savior. We spend so much for other things. This is a worthy cause. Each may sponsor one pillar, one beam, like that.

See how in America, all the young software engineers have built such a beautiful and magnificent temple there. About 2000 of them are there, for whom, as children, I had given them the first morsel of food/Annaprashana, and taught the first ABC’s/Aksharabhyasam. Such is God’s grace. We are not permanent. But we must make this temple permanent. This is our Dharma. So many temples have been built by disciples for their Guru. This Saroop Nagar ashrama is in poor condition. It saddens me. I am happy to come here. But certainly do some improvements. Conduct Swamiji’s bhajans, do some meditation. Build a hall upstairs. This Mandir has powerful vibrations. This Datta and Mother Kali are so beautiful. The Navagrahas are here. The image is small. But the power is immense. Swamiji had a beautiful meditation session here this morning. This is one of the Navanatha Shrines. Those who help this ashram will be helping their future generations.

Get the plans sanctioned by Swamiji and proceed with the plans tor permanent improvements. For some of you, this renovation job is very small. It can even be handled individually. Many here are very wealthy. This Mother installed here is your daughter. Treat the expense of permanent renovation to this building as your daughter’s marriage and fix up this place nicely. How much longer will you live? Not thousands of years. While you live, use your resources for this temple. Then you earn great merit. Our court of judgment is up there. Your Guru is here now and is announcing that you should help. How will you answer? Yama will ask you. He is watching you to see how you will respond. I am always a witness. Those who have the funds, and do not give here, but waste their assets, I will report about them to Chitragupta. For so many years Swamiji has been making this request.

Dwarka Mandir is so beautiful. Poor people have given out of love for Swamiji. Many people from Andhra Pradesh have given. Like that, here also you must do more. Road is improved. But the temple and ashram here have not improved. Devotees fought with the government and improved the road. But Mother Kali, O Lord Datta, do you not want this temple to be improved?

Prasad asked me if I am happy. Road, yes. The ashram belongs to God. If He wills, it will improve. Perhaps, I will beg for alms, and do it myself, if none of you want to help out. Tell me, “Swamiji, we cannot do it, you do it yourself.” Your words will be recorded, and then, I will take it up and do it. Say that you are not going to help, in the presence of God. Alter all, may be only 30-40 lakhs is all that is required. I will hold my begging bowl proudly and ask for the necessary funds.

Do not dare to touch the fixed deposit. If you do, every one of you will end up in the hospital. It was made with my strenuous effort. It is a venomous serpent. If you touch it, you perish. Do not even think about it. That deposit is for the protection of the future of the temple. Do not touch the emergency fund.

So much you spend for other things. For medical treatments you spend so much. If God blesses, you will have no illnesses. Why do you keep all that money? Will it go with you when you die? So many people supported since 1978 and 1981, such trust they placed on Swamiji. Such difficulties they went through but served with great devotion. Shyamala Pappu also has done a lot.

After six months, the road improves. It is very far, I agree. Once the road is improved, distance will not matter. If there is love in the heart, distance is nothing. This is a Kshetra/Sacred Temple. You must protect. Only 3-5 people have done a lot. Mr. Bansal has done a lot.

Only repairs here always. I am not happy. There is not more place here for us to expand. Small project only. Get an engineer and get it done. Shall I go beg and collect funds? Tell me. You will not do it. What will you do with your hoarded money? I will see.

Take away the microphone. If it remains here, I will scold more.

Sri Guru Datta
