Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji in the morning – January 12, 2017 – Regidi
Compiled by: Smt Hira Duvvuri
I am visiting Regidi after many years. He has been praying for this visit for a long time. One is supposed to make a return visit within 12 years. I am here now after about nine years.
I have two more towns to visit today. My tour of this region continues for a month. Then I visit Chennai, and then will proceed to New Zealand. Where is Regidi village, and where is New Zealand? Just imagine. I keep traveling like this extensively.
The children sang very well.
The entire family group of Sri Satyanarayana, including all his siblings and their children, are all very pious. Together, they have renovated and improved the Rama Temple bequeathed by their ancestors. They have done a wonderful job to create a spiritual atmosphere here. Satyanarayana told me that all this was done out of love for me, and that it was I who appeared in his dream and got things done through him. It is a rare privilege they got. Siva Purana says that to renovate and maintain a Siva Temple is indeed a highly meritorious accomplishment. I am very happy. We are now in the precincts of Sri Rama Sannidhi.
This is where once a Healing Music Concert took place. A miracle also occurred then, where a rain storm was controlled.
A beautiful Dhyana Mandira has been built here. Visit the meditation hall every Sunday and sit quietly. You will enjoy peace of mind. Your spiritual strength will increase. I have no time now for each of you to come close to me. I will now send my Padukas to each of you. You may touch and offer your prayers. You may offer fruits or funds as you wish. Do not hold on to them for too long. Give everyone a chance. Do not make noise. Swamiji will hear and answer your prayers.

A summary of Sri Satyanarayana’s speech:
We have been all along worshiping Sri Swamiji’s Padukas here regularly, in his absence, imagining his direct presence here. Today he is present amidst us and we are going to worship him directly. Every one of you will get to touch His blessed padukas to offer prayers in his actual presence. We are all indeed most blessed.
Many years ago, Swamiji was expected to arrive for the first time here the following morning to our home for Pada Puja. Two members of his entourage approached me and asked me to draw a sketch of the floor plan of my house. I showed it to them. One of them said, you sleep in this room and in the room, that is facing it, you may do the Pada Puja tomorrow. The other person said, there are far too many family members to be accommodated there. Perhaps it is better to perform the Pada Puja downstairs in the Puja room.
Before I went to bed anticipating Sri Swamiji’s visit the following day, I was not sure where the Pada Puja would take place, and so I did not make any special preparations. A thought came to my mind. What if Sri Swamiji should say that the Pada Puja should be conducted upstairs? I have not cleared the furniture to make room for all the participants. I have not cleaned up the room. There will be no time to do it in the morning, if Swamiji should give such an instruction then.
At once, I called for some help, got all the furniture moved, and cleaned the room up and got it ready, just in case.
Sri Swamiji came the next morning, came upstairs and said this is where you should perform the Pada Puja. As he sat down, he looked around and said, last night at 10 PM, I myself was here, getting this place cleared and cleaned up.
When we associate closely with Sadguru, we begin to ponder about things like, what is this body, who lives in this body, who is doing all this, who is Guru, what is the Guru principle, who is responsible for all that is going on, and so on. We begin to realize that it is Guru who does everything, and that we are merely instruments in his hands.
This is a very special day for all of us. Let us offer worship to our Guru wholeheartedly and be amply blessed.
