Harihi Om Tatsat

You must have understood what the Maharashtra Chief Minister said in his speech. He spoke in simple English that even little children can understand. I am very happy today. It is 75 years; 7+5=12 and 1+2=3. The digits in the year add up to the number 3. The three stand for Satya/Truth, Dharma/Righteousness and Shanti/Peace. These are our foundation. It is our Svadharma (our innate Dharma). If you concentrate on these three, you can achieve your spiritual goals. Sometimes, there are hindrances to speaking the truth and you may feel forced to lie. Do not lie even then. If you lie, it will get more difficult. Pray to Dharma and realize the truth within your heart. If you leave the decision to your Atman/Soul, you will arrive at the right decision. Some people speak without feeling in the heart. Your words must come from deep within your heart. Then, they will be words of Truth, Dharma and Peace. Those will be words of morality. It will create an environment of peace. Today, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra spoke from his heart. Some people have a prepared speech. But he spoke from his heart. You are here by the grace of Datta’s lineage.

We have a daily birthday. There are a couple of parrots that greet me every morning. One says Good Morning and the second one says Happy Birthday. They say this every day. Why is it saying Happy Birthday? Because, we do not know what happens after we go to bed. Every day we wake up, we take a new birth. Every time we wake up from the sleep state, it is happy birthday. We are nearer to death than we realize. That is why, when you wake up every morning, look at your hands. All the Gods are in your hands. Wake up with Truth, Dharma and Peace in your heart and your day will be good. But if you wake up with laziness, feeling sorry about the day breaking so early, that day will feel like mental and physical death. That is why we should wake up with a peaceful and truthful mind.

You all witnessed the Pratyaksha Pada Puja (that Pujya Bala Swamiji performed to Pujya Swamiji). It is very auspicious. Every day is auspicious in Datta Peetham. Datta’s lineage has a special message for propagation to mankind. Telugu and Marathi people know Lord Datta. Kannada people are only now learning about Lord Datta. Swamiji always talks about Lord Datta. Lord Datta teaches to never discriminate against other beings. He said this to Pingala Naga a long time ago – in Krita Yuga itself. If you read the life history of Lord Datta, you will understand. He has been saying it again and again in every Yuga afterwards – Tretya Yuga, Dwapara Yuga and Kali Yuga. He talked about what could happen in each Yuga. Man’s mind is very fickle. To remove that fickleness, he taught us that God is one. All are one. Our blood is the same. It could belong to A group or B group, but we are all one. Lord Datta’s Upadesha (divine message) happened even before Sri Rama’s time. The Lord declared equality in Krita Yuga itself. Treta Yuga passed, Rama’s incarnation passed, Dvapara Yuga passed, Sri Krishna’s incarnation passed, Mahabharata, Bhagavatam, all these passed. Still we are so fickle. We think the concept of equality is new. It is not new. We are only waking up to it now. We were asleep so far. We are just waking up to the fact that all are equal. Now, we are talking in the awakened state. You were all in dream state. Wake up.

You should learn about God now. What did God say? Are you devotees of God? If you are, you should follow His words. Follow the Bhagavad Gita. If you like God, follow what He said. Follow His commands. Sri Rama gave some commands, Sri Krishna gave some commands, during each of the ten incarnations, He gave some commands. Vamana gave some commands. Before that, Lord Datta also gave commands. If you follow those commands, you will understand. You think all this is new. It is not. It is very old. We are all in the slumber of Tamas (Tamo Guna or inert/dull qualities). Only now we are slowly waking up. Wake up, and follow the words of God. Understand the principle of God. If you are a devotee of God, you must follow His words. You must follow the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. If you like, if you love God, you must follow their command.

Satya, Dharma, Shanti is the total for number “75”. This is so nice. That is the concept of Trinity too. Datta is Trinity – Brahma, Vishnu, Maheshvara. Today, I will tell you a Bhagavatam mantra. Close your eyes for two minutes and listen. I will chant in my mind. But you can hear it. I am chanting internally. You are listening. You will know.

“Janmaa…satyam param dheemahi”
May goodness be bestowed on all of you.

Harihi Om Tatsat.

Chaitanya Archana – part 2

Today is a very auspicious day. You are getting an auspicious divine Darshan today. There is a beautiful bhajan which says that today is the best day. Today is the most auspicious day. Today is the most beautiful day. Let us remind ourselves that every day, something good will happen. Why do we cry every day? Do we not wake up and sleep every day? You must live a life of contentment and fulfillment. If you go deep within and find out how you can remain in this state of being positive, you will be able to do it. That is the secret to happiness. Lead a spiritual life. Share your food with those who do not have it. Share your knowledge and education with the illiterate. The minute you share whatever you have – education, food, and wealth – you will be a satisfied person. All of us must make it a habit to help the person next to us. Swamiji’s theme as is being proclaimed during the 75th birthday is to have no discrimination based on rich and poor, literate and illiterate, castes or races across the planet.

Why do we celebrate our birthday? It is an auspicious day. We love our birthdays. We think of it as a special day for us. If it is a special day for you, make it as special for someone else too. You are happy on your birthday. Make a resolution on your birthday to follow Swamiji’s lessons. I am seeing the Chaitanya (divine consciousness) in all the people sitting here (on the stage during Chaitanya Archana). I recognize the inner Chaitanya in animals and birds. That is why I surround myself with parrots. I have understood the inner Chaitanya even in my plants. I love my plants the way I love all of you. Why do you not learn from me? The goal of your life should not be taking care of your children, looking after them, sending them abroad for higher studies and things like that. We are lying to ourselves and to the world. We live in a world full of lies, we live in a world of falsehood.

Happy Birthday to all of you today. It is not my birthday. Happy Birthday to all of you. May your ears only hear good things, may your eyes only see good things and may you speak only good words. This is my message in Kannada for the Kannada people.

Speech in the afternoon – Guinness World Records

Harihi Om Tatsat

There were powerful forces behind the Guinness World Records. It is not a single-person affair. It is not an easy task. Bonsai is not easy. Bhagavad Gita is not either. This book (the 7 foot tall Bhagavad Gita book) looks like Lord Krishna Himself. Think about it and you will understand. The printing is also very difficult. You know that the book contains Bhagavad Gita verses in 18 different languages. There are various different languages including Japanese. It is also made of special paper. Now, we will place this book in Vishwam museum where you can see and appreciate for yourself.

The bird park (Shuka Vana) has my personal attention. I like birds. Why? I cannot explain why I like birds. Birds are very difficult to maintain. The bird may be alive today and it may vanish tomorrow. It is a miracle to save the birds’ lives. There are different kinds of food, different bird categories, different mentality, different levels of freedom, different kinds of injured birds, sick birds, healthy birds, old birds, and sensitive birds in Shuka Vana. I cannot explain. The birds are always moving. Birds are talking. I ask people how many colors they saw on a given bird. I get varying responses, some say seven, some say four. The bird is moving and it is hard to recognize all colors. They are like angels. I am very happy that the world is recognizing this.

So, we had three Guinness World Records today. There are 3 Sandhyas (transitions in a day). Dawn (when the sun rises), noon (transition from morning to afternoon) and dusk (when the sun sets). Early in the morning, the birds say Good Morning. In the afternoon, you go read the Bhagavad Gita. In the evening, we want to sit near trees. We had the 3 Sandhyas represented in the three records today. The three records relate to the three Sandhyas. The three Sandhyas make one day. Today’s date, 26 – 2+6=8. That represents the Ashta Siddhis, Ashta Dikpalakas, Ashta Lakshmis, Ashta Putras. Such a nice meaning. The number 2 indicates victory and the number 6 indicates freedom from divisions.

The Mysore Bonsai chapter including Dr. Sanmathi worked very hard. Also, Suresh worked very hard. Kusumakka also worked very hard. Govindaraj worked hard. They worked hard and I got the record. How funny is this. But if I get the record, they are even happier. Bala Swamiji worked very hard on Bhagavad Gita. Ram Vempati also worked very hard. Narayana Rao also worked very hard to get the book here. This group gets the Guinness World Record. I just get the photos and the certificate.

For the Shuka Vana record, many people worked hard. Suresh, Ramakrishna, Sivagami – all played important roles. The doctors in Shuka Vana worked very hard for this. Dr. Lakshmi got yelled at by Swamiji so much. She worked so hard. Susen also worked hard. Susen would be told off often (by me). Anyone else in his place would have left, but he just stayed and worked hard. Priyanka has worked extensively. Prabhu, Shanti and other people also worked hard.
I always remember those who work (for Swamijii’s mission). I even remember the person who held the car door open for me. It’s a small Seva, but I remember every single one. If you asked me now who held the door for me at any point in time, I will remember. You are all children. You must be peaceful. You must get along like one mother’s children. You must be happy and support each other and not be confrontational. If you are confrontational with each other, I cannot help. People of all ages – everyone must be happy. Don’t yell at each other. You must do each other’s work and give the other person credit.

Today is a very good day. No doubt I am happy about the Guinness World Records. What is the use? But what did it prove? There is a lot of use. This will get recorded in the history of the world. Go to the Guinness World Records website. Search for Swamiji on the site. You will see all the records. Go and like the entry on the website.

Everyone must go. Have your family members do the same. Everyone must write comments. I will read them. I will read the comments for the next one month. The first Guinness World Record was earned in Tenali. Many people wrote comments. I am very happy with the comments. Over time, I will read all the comments.
