Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji – 76th Birthday Message – May 25, 2018 – SDVT, Mysore
From Avadhoota Dattapeetham Facebook page
Today we should make a vow. Can we be silent for an hour every day. You are in a sacred place. To break the vow would be a deadly sin.
Have a dialogue with your mind and confirm this vow. At least 30 minutes a day, would ensure happiness in the life.
Mounam Kalaham Naasti
Mounam Sakalqm Siddhi.
With silence you could avert animosity and clashes. Especially the conflicts between competing interests of the sensory organs.
Whereas our interests are focused on eatables and consumables, when we think of any festival and celebrations. We are losing focus on what we should be concentrating on. Several Puja and connected traditions are fine, even though we don’t understand many of them.
But, Mouna Vrata exceeds all of them. Today is EkadashI, Adhika Maasa, Hasta Nakshatra, 25th and 26th.. May. 76th birthday of your Sadguru. Hence make this vow today about Mouna Vratam.
Venkateswara Swamy, our guardian and saviour. He gives you what you need to serve the humanity better. Share what you have. Some devotees have made Annadanam, part of their life. Nurture the habit of Charity and Compassion. This is the blessing for this Birthday.
Out of millions of people on this planet, you are the chosen ones to be with Sadguru in this life. It is the divine plan that you all are associated with Guru.
Being in the same period of Sadguru is a blessing itself. I pray to Swamy that all the devotees present here, be blessed with good intentions, health and prosperity.
Om Namo Narayanaya
