Speech of HH Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji during Divya Nama Sankeertana – December 18, 2021 – Mysore

Jaya Guru Datta
Everyone should wear the Pundareeka (Vishnu) raksha. That is the mark on the forehead with three horizontal lines representing Shiva, the U-shaped mark representing Vishnu and the dot in the middle representing Brahma. Datta devotees must compulsorily wear this mark. We are also making a small stamp/die. You can apply this mark with Vibhuti or kumkum or sandal paste. Wearing this bestows welfare. Why are we doing it this year? The times ahead will be very difficult. Wearing this mark will protect you and your health. I will not give you future predictions and worry you. Why fear? Find the solution to get rid of the fear.
Wearing the Pundareeka raksha is good for you. It will remove nightmares, chronic ailments at home as well as evil spirits. This relates not just to Shiva or Vishnu or Brahma, but to Lord Datta. Do not be shy. Wear this mark/bottu. Do not feel inferior or superior wearing this. Do not mock those wearing it. If you do, the sins from those who are mocked get transferred to you. Why incur sin unnecessarily? You love Swamiji anyway. You must wear this mark. If you cannot, you can wear like Swamiji does – three dots on the forehead to represent each of the three deities in the Trinity. Do not be shy to wear this raksha. You must compulsorily apply this on your forehead. You will find a marked difference in energy when you wear this mark on your forehead. It wards off the evil eye. Married women can use kumkum. Men can use anything – Vibhuti, kumkum, sandal paste, etc. Mocking those wearing this mark will bring a curse on you. I will tell you a related story later. It is our dharma to wear this. This is not a Hindu tradition, it is a human tradition. Widows can wear this mark with Vibhuti.
Narayana Rao ji is trying to get the stamp done. We will get it as soon as possible. When you wear that mark, Lord Krishna’s auspicious form will blend into yours. Datta Vastram is compulsory. You must wear Datta Vastram whenever you have Darshan of Swamiji. There are small Datta Vastras that you can simply keep in your pocket. Everything has been made very easy for you. I have said many times that Swamiji will recognize you in a crowd if you wear the vastram. You choose not to wear the vastram and therefore I choose not to look at you or bestow blessings. If you want to be identified and recognized promptly, wear the vastram. It is like an identity card.
Tomorrow’s Tailabhishekam is special. The oil is medicinal. It works for all kinds of pains. Many suffer from various pains. We used to make this oil 10 years ago. Instead of using some random oil, use this Datta oil. Tomorrow, there will be a single line for Tailabhishekam. We will have a golden Moorti for abhishekam. This is a special feature of this Datta Jayanti. The oil is useful for all kinds of pains. It smells very good as well. Everyone participate in Tailabhishekam. The moortis for Tailabhishekam are of two kinds – one for display and one that Swamiji does Puja to. You will do abhishekam to the latter. This is a rare opportunity. It has not happened before. We are using the golden moorti since we are using the medicinal oil. Those watching online need not worry, you can do Abhisheka to that moorti next year.
All events at Ganagapura around the Datta Jayanti time frame have been canceled. We finished our programs earlier, otherwise, we would not have gone to Ganagapura.
(Bhajans)
(Silent meditation for some time)
Tomorrow, everyone should go to Shuka Vana. Everyone should have a photo from Shuka Vana in your hand if you want to do Tailabhishekam. During covid, there has been no food supply for Shuka Vana. Only 80 people have been sending some funds for the birds. We have not been starving the birds of course, we feed them. There are some parrot species that are extinct in India. There is only a handful left in the Ashram, you will never be able to see them again. Go to Shuka Vana and get blessed seeing those birds. People came from Singapore to see the rare Pesquet’s parrot in Shuka Vana. Hyacinth macaw, red-tailed cockatoo are also protected very carefully in the Ashram. Those species are nearly extinct. You can see them in Shuka Vana and tell your kids that these birds use to exist once. Everyone must have a photo in their hands tomorrow. Even Pujya Bala Swamiji will do it. I will not allow anyone inside without a photo.
If you take a photo, it will help a bird eat food for two days. Go to Shuka Vana at some point tomorrow and get a photo.
Coronavirus is still around. Always wear a mask, maintain distance, do not shake hands, use a sanitizer, do not eat stuff touched by others, you never know where the virus is lurking.
There is the Omicron variant now, who knows what others will come in the future. We have no choice but to go through the experience. Everyone suffered during Covid, but my Datta devotees and I are very happy because we completed the Mahabharata. If Swamiji would not show up at 6:30pm one day, there would be a barrage of phone calls and messages. People would go mad. I would have to give Darshan the next day and explain that I was fine, and it was only a power cut due to which the live broadcast did not happen. Whoever heard the discourses during Covid are all alive.
