I am happy to be here for Krodhi Nama Samvatsaram. The name appears frightening, but no need to be afraid. Some of it is good and some not so much. There will be impact on the environment. It is okay, it has been happening since ancient times, we have no choice but to face it. We cannot escape. Joys and sorrows are always part of our journey. We should not wish only for happiness. If we do not get elated during good times and dejected over sorrows, we will be happy. We should be humble and not get bombastic during good times. Help each other.
I am sitting here during your lifetime. This is your Yogam (good fortune), your effort, your love and your devotion. It is a bond of many lifetimes. I cannot be without seeing you nor can you without seeing me.
I am always in your heart wherever you are. Many are saying that Mysuru is like a Kshetra for them…they forget all worries when they come. Swamiji is near the Lord and Mother Goddess in Mysuru. So, they don’t want Swamiji to leave Mysuru.
Swamiji instructs devotees to plant more trees and do more gardening. Make the Ashrama more beautiful. This is also a Kshetra. Do the needful. We need the right decorations and happiness. For humans too, showering alone is not enough, we need some decorations as well.
Men and women should both wear the mark on their forehead. Swamiji is getting a mark made for the forehead. That mark is similar to what Swamiji wears. I have been researching it for the last year, it causes no allergies.
Even Westerners are wearing “bottu” on their foreheads. Instead of wearing a tiny dot on the forehead, wear it so it’s clearly visible. From this year onward, we should start a revolution to wear “bottu”. Indians must wear “bottu”. Sikhs too are wearing “bottu”.
We should follow this tradition. Happy Krodhi year. All of you be well. Guru Seva does not need you to be told what to do. You must help without being asked. That is Moksha.
Doing when told will bestow Indra’s Loka, but not doing even when told certainly dispatches us to hell. This is not your mother-in-law’s home for you to be told what to do.
Women have the upper hand. Government also has given women more power. The men should start learning how to cook. Life will be good…you can cook and watch TV series and enjoy life. When the women go earn money, men can learn to cook.
Swamiji directs everyone present to participate in Shashwata Puja at all 7 shrines.

Many devotees arrived as early as 6am. You have been here all day despite the heat. With eagerness and devotion to see Swamiji you all gathered here. I am happy. The construction here is only 50% complete. Some decorations are also left to be done.
It’s the same when we build a home or are decorating us ourselves. It takes time, and it costs money too. We go through a lot of stuff preparing the house for the housewarming with plumbing, electric, wood work, doors not shutting correctly, etc. We somehow manage to do the housewarming. Similarly, the construction here is not complete, but we are celebrating Ugadi here since we had to be here for Ugadi.
Sri Damodara Sarma garu did Panchanga Shravana (almanac read out). Finally, what we conclude is that we must worship Subramanya Swamy and Hanuman. We have both deities in this temple. We are doing Kumbhabhishekam to the Subrahmanya temple as well.
Swamiji is here for the rituals, Yantra Sthapana, Prana Prathishtta, and alongside that we did the Ugadi program. There are many who supported the Ugadi program, I saw the list. You may all participate in the various Sevas, especially, Annadhaana Seva. Don’t give the excuse of not being informed about it.
Many have participated in the Nithya Puja. Once a year, Puja will take place in your name in that shrine. Tomorrow we will have Sri Chakra Archana and Divya Nama Sankeerthana.
I bless you all for this New Year, may auspiciousness come to you. We must worship Hanuman and Subrahmanya Swamy. We always have Karya Siddhi Anjaneya with us. Bengaluru temple gets very crowded with devotees, we even expanded the space, but it’s still not enough. Same with Mysuru, Kerala, Cochin, etc. No amount of car parking is enough at the Bengaluru temple. Here too, we have the Marakata Anjaneya Swamy. This is a very wonderful and rare Moorti. So, we are doing Punah Prathishtha of this Moorti. That’s a very special occasion in our lives.
Tomorrow, we will sing praises of all Devatas, but today we will sing the new song of the Krodhi Year and welcome the year.
The language is very simple, you understand the meaning. Every Ugadi, welcoming the year is inevitable whether the year is going to be wrathful or peaceful. When we heartfully welcome the king of Ugadi, He will bless us. We have to live with Him for a year. So, it’s best to peacefully welcome Him and treat Him. That means, we should always happily worship God. If you cry in front of God, God will say, So be it! If you are happy in front of God and show gratitude: You have given me birth, you are letting me come to You and see You and worship You despite all difficulties, I am still breathing, I am still surviving and eating, thank You, then God says So be it too. God blesses us for happiness, we should not grieve in front of Him.
We should only pray: You give us what You want, good or bad. If You give us bad, give us the strength to face it, if You give us good, keep away ego from us. Whatever You give me is for my benefit.
