Speech of HH Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji during Ati Rudra – November 19, 2010 – Mysore

Om Namah Sivaya
Mangalam Bhagavan Sambhuhu Mangalam Vrushabhadwajaha Mangalam Sri Viroopaksha Mangalayatanam Hara Hara
Om Namah Sivaya
Harah Namah Parvati Pataye Hara Hara Mahadev

Every day is a special day. Not just today, every second is special. But today is more special. Because today is Friday. Friday is Mother Goddess day. Today we had the darshan of Lord Datta Venkateswara. We had darshan of poorna roopa – full form. And we are witnessing Ati Rudra Maha Yaga. That means today, it is like the sangama – confluence. Confluence of Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and Mother Goddess. Just like the confluence of the 3 rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Where is this confluence? In Prayaga. Where is our Prayaga? Sadguru is our Prayaga. In this Prayaga (Swamiji) we are witnessing the Triveni Sangama – the three river confluence in the form of Trinity – our own Dattatreya Sri Swamiji. So today is more special day.

Maha Vishnu and Parameswara both should be seen as one form. We need to pray Lord Shiva in the form of Vishnu. They both are same. ‘Sivaya Vishnu roopaya, Siva roopaya Vishnave. ‘Sivasya hrudayam Vishnuh, Vishnushcha hrudayam Sivaha’. Siva is located in Vishnu’s heart and Vishnu is in the heart of Siva. For they both are the same. Pray Lord Siva in the form of Lord Vishnu, to get good wisdom, wealth and everything.

All of you chant Om Namah Sivaya or Om Namo Hanumate Namah or Om Aim Hrim Srim Siva Rama Anagha Dattaaya Namah. Chant the Guru mantra that you have taken as initiation and simultaneously watch Ati Rudra Yagam.

May peace prevail in the world. May everyone’s sufferings be removed. Pray for the good. Now Eka Rudra Homa Poornahuti will be done. Please watch and offer your prayers. Also we will be performing Abhisheka to Sachidanandeswara Swami. All of you watch the Abhishekam. After this all of you go and sit at the Rudra Homa for some time. Listen to the mantras of Rudraadhyayana.

Jaya Guru Datta.
