Speech of HH Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji after Chandi Homa – August 25, 2012
Any program done in the extra moth of bhadrapada (adhika bhadrapada) gives extra fruits. According to Swamiji’s order, we’re doing this Homa for the good of all worlds, for eternal peace. This homa has the essence of all the four Vedas. Mother Herself said in Markandeya Purana that whoever does chandi Homa gets the fruits of reading all the four Vedas! Narayana goud’s family has sponsored this. May the Mother bless them. May the Mother forgive our mistakes and not be angry on us. May she show compassion. Chandi is the form of the Mother who looks angry and by that, takes our anger away (and thereby all the bad effects of anger). We did this Homa for that very blessing. The Veda scholars have performed this in a disciplined manner. I’m very happy about it.
We also did Kushmanda balidana – bali means puja. We gave a sacrifice for the nature. It is also very sacred to witness. May everyone’s desires be fulfilled.
