Today Pujya Sri Swamiji is worshipping mother Goddess in the form of Skanda Mata, performed Abhishekam to Manikya Sri Chakra, completed Navaavarana puja and is blessing all of us from the Sri Chakra Puja altar.

We will have a quick recap of the topics covered in Devi Bhagavatham by Sri Swamiji yesterday. Yesterday, on Chandra Ghanta Devi worship day, Appaji explained one crucial and important topic. But He covered it very quickly. Sadguru is always like that. Like Sun, He will keep on moving. we should run behind Him. If not like Hanuman, atleast like a small monkey, we should follow Him. we should always be very alert and keep observing Sadguru’s actions and words with utmost concentration. Only then, we can understand Him.

While explaining Satyavratha’s story of a pig entering into the hut of Satyavratha and a huntsman chasing it, Swamiji said one huntsman was chasing the pig but he is not a huntsman.  At the same time, Swamiji also mentioned that He was not here at that point of time and went to the place of Satyavratha and said, He had goosebumps while talking about that huntsman. He also said that He Himself is that Kiraatha – the hunstman. What does this mean ? There is a purana story called Kiraataarjuneeyam. It is about a fight between Lord Shiva who is in the form of a huntsman and Arjuna. It is said that this story happened in this place of Vijayawada. Kiraatha is Lord Shiva Himself. When Swamiji  mentioned that He is Kiraatha, that means He is Lord Shiva.

In TamilNadu, there is a place called Kumbhakonam. The God there is Kumbheswara – means he is the lord of Kumbha. Kumbha is pot. When you ask someone what do you have, they talk about their bank balance. But here, Kumbheswara said He is the lord of a Pot. Kumbeshwara and Kooshmanda (one of the nine forms of mother Goddess) has a lot of relation. These names didn’t come just like that. They have a lot of theory of behind, that explains the secrets of the creation. The word Kooshmanda consists of three words Ku, Ushma and Anda. In Sanskrit, Ku means a little, ushma means luke warm and Anda means egg. Kooshmanda means a “little warm egg”. This is the name of mother Goddess that we worshipped yesterday. The meaning of the name is so funny but mother goddess took that name. why ? Because, we have prana shakti (energy) inside us. Ena Praanena Ithihi ! She makes that shakti live. When we are sick,

a doctor gives us medicine. But doctor is not the curing energy of medicine. He only prescribes the medicine. The power of medicine is different from doctor. Likewise, when we inhale, the inhalation is not Prana. Anjaneya is the energy behind that Pranai. So, when you inhale and exhale, where does the question of external purity comes ? Even when you have bath or not, you breathe right ? This is called Ajapa Japam. Swamiji explained this concept through the humourous Hanuman story yesterday.

Kooshmanda Devi started  the creation process. After creation, the pralaya (end of cosmos) time came. Everything ended. Nothing remained. At such time water was created. Remember, Swamiji started the discourse of Devi Bhagavatam explaining Jala tatva, the concept of water. Water is important. Puttu Gam had even put a video on the importance of water. Swamiji is unveling the hidden secrets of Vedas with simple examples. All devathas asked what will happen to people after universe ends. Lord Shiva said, I will save all of them in Kooshmanda (pot). A pot will not sink in water. It floats. So all these people will be safe in a pot and will be floating. Again when the new creation starts, Lord Shiva will take the form of a Kiraatha (huntsman) and hit the pot with an arrow. Then all these people will take birth again. This is the story popular in Kumbhakonam. Pujya Swamiji did not mention all these secrets in detail but He just said I’m Kiraatha – the huntsman.

Next, coming to Sudarshana story, everyone thinks Sudarshana means one who is smart and handsome. Sushtu Darshanam ithi Shobhana… is the meaning. Sudarshana means seeing correctly. Seeing only good. In this world, we have both good and bad. But take only good is what is explained in Sudarshana story yesterday. He heard the word ‘Kliba’ .That is a bad word. Kliba means impotent. But he has taken it as a beejakshara, a seed word.  We all should become like Sudarshana. Even if someone abuses us, we should not react. Control your anger by sadhana and abhyasa (practice). Mother Goddess is called as Maatruka Varna Rupini. What ever we talk, hear is all from her. She is also called as Bhaasha Roopini (form of language). Let all that we hear and talk become her praise, May our sleep become a prostration to Her. What ever we do be Her’s. Swamiji is reminding us the hidden vedic procedures. Not just reminding but He is also putting them into practice and is leading us as an exemplar. That is Sadguru tatva. We are extremely fortunate to have such Sadguru in our lives. All of you be cautious in thoughts, see that you don’t get bad thougths. Even if you have them, send them away and be blessed by mother goddess.

Om Shaanthi Shaanthi Shaanthihi !!
