Murali has just mentioned all the points I wanted to cover. Yes, as he said: to welcome Lord Siva, Skanda arrived first; Anjaneya Swamy arrived first to welcome Lord Sri Rama. That’s true. That’s why I came here. Swamiji initially told He will be here on 8th and 9th. Some people expressed doubts about why He hasn’t come last year and this year until today. To clear your doubts, I’d like to say that Swamiji is very healthy and happy. I came here today to deliver that good news.
Recently I went to Vijayawada. During the tour, Swamiji was in Singapore. He went to Singapore to get some health checkups done. I prayed Swamiji to cancel any tours because they are His tours and He has fixed those tours. But I insisted that He go to Singapore because it is My tour. Swamiji asked “is it? Why so?” Last year as we all know after Rama Pattabhishekam in Ayodhya, Swamiji came back to Delhi. Then He travelled from Chennai to Nellore for Siva Pratishta. There was a small surgery done to Swamiji. Doctor asked Swamiji to visit exactly after one year again without fail for a full health checkup. I asked Swamiji to keep His word given to the doctor about visiting after one year. The doctor declared that if everything looks good in this health checkup, there is no doubt that Swamiji will live for 100 years. I was present when the doctor said so. So I asked Appaji to keep all his tasks aside and take the doctor visit. If everything turns out fine, Swamiji can do all His tours. That doctor is a close devotee to Swamiji. Swamiji likes him very much. He even visited Mysore Ashram. The doctor made arrangements for the visit. This hospital he works at is a very big one. The MRI Scan there is amazing. We usually get angiogram done here. That is not required with that scanner. There are only 3 scanners of that type in the entire world. Two are in America and one in Singapore. That Doctor has requested me personally, to insist on Swamiji coming for the health checkup. So Swamiji has visited there. When I was in Vijayawada, we got phone call that health checkups are done. After the checkup, the octor has asked Swamiji’s age. They were surprised to know that He is 70, because His health record says he is as healthy as a 17 year old. This is very good news. I came first to share that good news with you. To distribute this sweet which is better Mysorepak, Jamun for our Datta Devotees. There is no better sweet than this.
One can spread happiness by sharing such good news. Bad news should not be shared because people will feel sad and depressed after hearing it. Better not to tell that kind of news. If you share sad news, sadness is increased. If you share good news, happiness is increased. Everyone will be very happy! With that, your happiness will be increased. If bad happens, only near people, those who are supposed to know the news, with them only you have to share your bad news. No need to tell to entire village. They may be going for good ceremonies such as weddings, feeding the baby for the first time, or some other ceremony. When people meet you at ceremonies and ask “how are you”, tell them you’re fine. Even if you do have some sadness to share, they do not have the strength to remove it. So what’s the use in sharing your bad news? Just tell: I am fine! That’s it. You will tell ‘I am having so many difficulties. Nobody would have ever seen or undergone such a difficult phase like mine’. This is not correct. When you get the opportunity and bliss, tell your problems to Sadguru alone. All your problems will run away. If you share with others, first time they will hear, second time they stay patient and later they will get irritated. So good news, if I share with you people I will get more happiness by seeing the happiness in your faces. So I came early to tell this.
Nandanana nama year was a bit bad. There were very less rains. Temperatures have raised. It is too sunny here. I was very happy Swamiji hasn’t said its very sunny, so I cannot come. Generally Swamiji will not complain about such things. Whatever difficulty, He will come down for devotees without expressing His pains. He will never consider it. Last year for consecrations, Swamiji was not in hale condition at all. But still He performed all consecrations. The doctors were shocked. How He did all these pratisthas? He wanted to do, so He did. Because of this heat, Swamiji cannot come. He will come again for Vinayaka Chavithi and stay. So you should not pressure Him. He should come for tours. He has told this time. Generally He will never tell about His physical body pains.
Swamiji also fixed Guntur and Nellore visits. Trustees were saying, ‘we ourselves are unable to bear this hot sun here. How Swamiji will come to Andhra?’ This is what they have said. I was very happy. This is how devotees are supposed to be. All propaganda and notices were done, Trustees made the arrangements. In Guntur there is program of conducting one lakh Hanuman Chalisa chanting. From Hyderabad, Narayana Rao uncle has sent the required items for that program. Devotees from 110 villages participated. Swamiji is supposed to go there, but is not. This is like a big bomb for them. Howeer, they said, ‘we will perform this, imagining Swamiji is amidst us. If Swamiji gives a message to us on that day is enough.’ That is how a real devotee is supposed to be.
Swami is omnipresent, still you sing lullaby and close the doors and ask Him to sleep. Morning we open the doors, again afternoon and in the evening we open the door although He is everywhere. Why we do so? He is very near to us not very far from us. That Swami has taken a form like our Guru and is visible to us and is with us. That Paramatma – Almighty. We have to take care of Him. That is real devotion and how a real devotee should be. That I have seen in Guntur devotees. Even Hyderabad got a phone call. There is no exception for Hyderabad. Swamiji is not coming for 8th. On 10th again one more phone call. Hyderabad will be always a step ahead. Its metropolitan city, that’s why. I have called up here. Actually I am not supposed to tell this. Trustees will be angry. They told, ‘No problem if it is very difficult. Let Swamiji perform Ugadi in Mysore. We will come there, only to have His darshan.’ This is how you should be. How many Gurus or sadhus have done tours like our Swamiji? He goes to every place and searches. For our sake He is coming to us. Like a God coming in chariot outside. Swamiji told for Ugadi, I will come definitely. I have to give victory blessings to you all. Let all your good wishes be fulfilled. So Swamiji is coming here.
We are celebrating anniversary of the temples today. All temples are newly reconstructed. Yesterday we did abhishekam to Manikya Nageswara Siva. Shekar and family have built the renovated temple with great devotion. Very precious gift Swamiji has given to this ashram. Those who pray and perform puja here, will get equal benefits of performing in the great Srikalahasti – vayu linga kshetra. That privilege and penance, you will get from praying here. Swami has told that to me and I am telling this to you. Any wheezing, asthma, heart, skin, mental, physical ailments, adi-vyaadi all will be removed. We have pray with whole heartedness. He will listen to you. Like a heap of cotton. To burn that one small match stick is enough. Same way from How many janmas-births karma we are coming with. Like luggage. How to get rid of it? All these can be taken away from his blessings.
Now we’re going to perform Mother Goddess and Anajaneya Swamy abhishekam. Tomorrow we perform Trimukha Ganapati abhishekam. Swamiji will arrive here. Day after tomorrow is Ugadi. We will perform here. Mysore already has celebrated the function.
Every year you were doing Annandana (serving food). This year I heard that there is very less participation. Swamiji likes annadana very much. To remove your karma, the only real seva is annadanam. Village farmers cannot perform this service because of the draught. Devotees also are not participating. Thousands of people are coming for darshan. New people, old, everyone should participate. And help to feed those people who came for darshan. Annadana is for the peace of the soul. So you have support for it.
After Ugadi Swamiji will go to Chennai for tamil puttandu new year. From there I will be coming back here. We will perform nagarasankeertana. Whenever I close my eyes, I get that feeling of sankeertana (singing Bhajans). Today’s generation children, even elders, everyone should perform and participate in nagara sankeertana. Get the word out about this event. Take interest like you do about your children’s education. This is also required along with that for children. Devotion is very much required. With that, everything is possible. Bhakti will be increased only by namasankeertana. There is no other way. In this kaliyuga,chanting the name of god is the only way for liberation. Daily atleast 10 minutes. In the morning or the evening, make it a point to do it in your house. That culture should be there. Children will not go in wrong ways. It will guide them. Nagarasankeertana is having so much power. After last years in hyderabad, you have been conducting. That is very good. I felt very happy. It is very good quality to continue the trend. So participate in this also. Don’t bother about people who don’t listen or participate. Our people went to perform. Only 2 were there. People laughed at them, they have closed doors in front of us and were making fun. So they called us. We told, do not step back. Keep doing. On 2nd week, hundred attended, the 4th week thousand people participated. This has happened in Chennai. Satsangs should be done. So they have started of doing it. Now demand is more. Bookings are more. They have no time slot to allot.
You have to convey in such a language which they can understand and convince them. You tell people “my Guru is very powerful. He will go in fire pit.” This is the wrong way to present it. Tomorrow they will ask you to show. Is it a circus? You have seen and experienced it. its your luck that you have seen it. People will laugh at you if you tell them. As a common superstition goes, while performing pooja one flower drops from God’s idol, you will be happy. If you tell to any other person who does not believe, he will laugh and asks, will your work be done by flower dropping?’ Believe it or not, its your problem. People get angry and say, ‘you do not know my Gurus power.’ Then you will loose devotion by getting angry. Your experience should be conveyed in the way it has to be. That style of language our datta devotes should be soft. See how others are doing. In that way you should tell to children and they will follow. If you tell them that they will pass their exams by attending Swamiji’s programs, that’s wrong. You should tell if you attend for nagasankeertana your concentration power will be increased and with that you will get good results. This is the correct process. So like last year, this year also, we will make it successful together. Guru’s blessings should be in auto mode not manual mode. It will come automatically. Do you invite river Krishna or Ganga? If you open the gates, the flow will continue. That kind of sadhana and practice, you all should do. So homa seva kartas come and collect your prasadam. Sachidananda kalapeetham Mr.Sharma is performing very great seva. Evening program they will be performing bhajans. All of you should encourage them.
