Speech of HH Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji after Mahanyasa Purvaka Ekadasa Rudra Abhishekam to Manikya Nageswara Swamy on the occasion of Second Sravana Monday – morning – August 24, 2015 – Dundigal Ashram, Hyderabad
Om Namah Shivaya
Om Namah Shivaya
Om Namah Shivaya
In my childhood in some context, I remember Swamiji saying that He likes Siva abhishekam. Since then, Swamiji is Lord Siva for me. Since Sadguru likes, I too like Siva abhishekam. Manikya Nageshwara Swamy – the more we pour, the more He takes. Maybe He is satisfied but we are not satisfied. Feel like doing 11 more rounds of abhishekam. But, we have certain procedures defined for abhishekam and we have to stop at this juncture with ashta avadhana seva.
Today, for the first time, we have performed Laksha Bilwa archana – puja with one hundred thousand bilwa leaves to Manikya Nageswara Swamy. This is special.
Today during the Mahanyasa abhishekam, during the 6th round, when the mantra comes – Namah Somayacha Rudrayacha, abhishekam was happenning with juice of various fruits. This abhishekam with juices in different colors removes all the obstacles of planets and this is a part of Mahanyasa purvaka rudra abhishekam. While doing so, with the juice of pomegranate, there was some foam formed on the juice. Seeing that, I was little doubtful if abhishekam can be performed with a juice containing foam. It is said that water from a tap which gives foam out of pressure should not be used for abhishekam. But what to do with fruit juice ? There will definetely be a layer of foam on it. So, this doubt struck my mind if abhishekam should be continued with it or not. As this thought came to my mind, as though to clear my doubt, the next mantram comes as Namah Phenyaya cha – which means the one who is in the foam of the sea. Immediately my doubt was cleared. This is the miracle of the Lord that happened. Today, the lord here appears as Sadguru in His fullest glory.
At the end of the 11th round of abhishekam, it is a process to pour the left over water in the container that hangs on the top of Shiva Linga. While doing so, the two lights in the lamps that were there next to the Lord went off as the water spilled over them. I very clearly saw that and was about to ask the priest to light them back with a match box again. As the priest Narasimha Murthy who is there with me tried to do so and in that process he pushed the wick a little up to light it back again. As he did so, both the wicks automatically glowed back on its own without using a match box. I have seen it very clearly and the priest also has seen it.
Today who ever had performed abhishekam and who ever witnessed the abhishekam, may the lord’s light be there in their houses forever. These are the two miralces that happened today during the abhishekam. There will be many more but they go un-noticed most of the time.
You all also have performed abhishekam at those 12 siva lingas representing 12 jyotirlingas. It gave me a feeling of Kailasa. While you all are doing so, I have seen myself in all of you. I felt as if I’m doing the abhishekam with multiple hands. I just wanted to share this with you all.
Jaya Guru Datta ! Sri Guru Datta !!
