At this noon time, in the Abhijit Lagnam, coming to Sri Ranganayaka Swami Temple is special. Sri Rama’s Dhwaja Stambha (flag pole) Pratistha event will commence this evening. At this auspicious time and situation, coming to Jaggayapeta makes me very happy, and seeing all of you makes me even happier.
From several years some devotees have been inviting me to come to Jaggayapeta. Many times I thought of coming, but could not come. The reason is, God’s decision is that I should come now. If we plan something, it is not enough.
Only if Sadguru and God make the Sankalpa (decision) all things will happen. God’s sankalpa is that today we should come to Jaggayapeta, so we came here. After having darshan of Swami in the temple I felt very happy. Seeing the devotees here, their devotion, their love, and their concentration towards dharma, I am even happier.
Appaji has given Jaya Durga Teertham, Undavalli Kshetram in Vijayawada to the government. Then all the devotees were very sad. They said, Swamiji we want this Kshetram, we like this very much, as this is on the banks of river Krishna. We don’t like your giving this away to the government, so please don’t give.
Then Swamiji said, you shouldn’t say like this. The new government is developing. All the people should come forward and help them. Let it start with me. Saying that from our Avadhoota Datta Peetham, with our ashram, it is my (decision) that they should begin, Appaji donated that ashram of six and a half acres to the government.
Krishna Pushkaras are approaching. For our ashram devotees we must arrange one Ghat on the banks of Krishna river so that our devotees can come and take holy bath, do Pithru Karyas (offerings to forefathers), Japas, Anushthanas, and Homas. So we require one Pushkara Ghat with proper facilities. Swamiji was thinking that.
Many came forward to give land. In that situation Raghuram came and said on the bank of Krishna river in Muthyala village I will donate 2 acres of land to the ashram. Those other lands Swamiji didn’t like. This land in Muthyala, Swamiji liked very much. Here the rivers Paleru and Krishna come together. It is a Sangama Kshetram. In Sangamam (confluence of rivers) if we have darshan of Sri Swamiji or do bath in sangamam and do smarana (remembrance) about Swamiji, the result is very auspicious. As it is such a powerful place, Swamiji thought it is good to construct our ashram here. To see that land I came here today. It is a very wonderful Kshetram (holy place).
There Krishna river is flowing from North side and flowing towards East and again flowing towards South. There is Paleru Sangama Kshetram (confluence of the two rivers). From there, the river is flowing forward. In that Kshetram, Vedadri Yogananda Lakshmi Narasimha Swami is present. That is one more special thing. Now from the land which they have donated, I had darshan of that temple tower. Today I thought of going to the temple, but time is up. This same evening we are going to Mysuru, so I’m unable to go. So all of us will have darshan of that Swami from here itself.
Jai bolo Lakshmi Narasimha Swami Ki Jai. We all feel as if we went there and that Swami is in our heart. We will convey our prostrations to the Swami from here itself.
After seeing that Kshetram, next we have darshan of Mukteeswara Swami. Now the E.O. (Executive Officer) of that temple is Subrahmanyam garu. In Telugu, we say his name is “pattu odhalani vikramarkudu”(a very tenacious and determined person). Subrahmanyam garu, without giving up hope has caught hold of me. What I mean is, in Vijayawada when we did Chaturmasya, we went to one Shiva temple in the place Enamalakuduru. He was the E.O at the temple at that time. His mentality is doing hard work. His feeling is that he should work for the temple and for the development of the temple. For that purpose only he came there as E.O. so he could do Seva to that Swami. When we were having darshan at that temple, we had a discussion about that temple.
Then some devotees came and in front of the E.O. Subrahmanyam, they started telling me, we are a little bit angry with him, we have a complaint about him. Then I asked, what are the complaints about him? He came as E.O. to the temple but no work has been done in this temple till now. All of them complained in front of the E.O. He listened to all that and he nodded his head and said, “Yes, Swamiji, what all they have said is true, I’m unable to do anything here. I thought of doing so much work, but so many obstacles I keep facing. The help which has to come from the government, we didn’t receive in some situations; in some situations, even if they give support, we are unable to succeed. Like this so many problems are there, so we are unable to achieve our goals. But even then, I want to do work.” He prayed like that. When we pray, God will listen. At that time we all joined together, and did bhajans also there. It is a Shiva temple, and so we all chanted Om Namah Shivaya for some time. Next, we sang bhajans about Lord Vishnu. Then I said, “You all should come to Mysuru and say that all the work is done and this temple has developed well”. That statement I wish to hear, I said, and came away from there.
Not even a year has passed since then, and 5 crores of rupees worth of work has been done there, while he was in charge of the temple. This, if he himself tells us now, it will be nice.
Then he came to Mysuru to invite us. As we were in some other program we were unable to go to that Pratistha (consecration) event. The devotees who had complained about him previously, all those people came and said, Swamiji, we slap our cheeks with remorse and regret. On that day we talked wrongly and complained about him but when he was in power, he has done 5 crores worth of work, and we are very happy about that.
Then I thought that for a really true devotee, God will always make him win. Losing is not there for him. God has no losing, devotee also has no losing. In some situations Dharma seems to be losing, and Adharma seems to be winning, but Adharma’s victory is not permanent. It comes and goes. But Dharma is like a river which has eternal life. It doesn’t dry up. It flows permanently. In some situations, due to lack of rain, as scarcity of water occurs, it may look like it is parched but big rivers never dry up. They are permanent. Dharma is also like that. Remember that. Dharma is like a Jeevanadi (a river which has permanent life), it doesn’t dry up. But to protect that river, all that we have to do, we should do. We have to plant some trees, protect the purity of the water, and remove the ditches. If we do all these required duties, Dharma will remain permanent. To protect Dharma, we should strictly follow Dharma. Then Dharma will withstand troubles and will be sustained. Whenever Dharma is protected, God will bless us.
In that context, today in Ranganayaka Swami Temple, Sri Rama’s Dhwaja Stambha Pratistha event is going on. Listening to this news I felt very happy. In order to establish Dharma they place a Dhwaja Stambha. It signifies our backbone. If our backbone is strong and good, we will be healthy. Our whole body will be strong. With prayers that not only this village, this district, and state, but that the whole country should thrive with prosperity and happiness, today the installation of the Dhwaja Stambha is taking place.
Rajagopal also has invited me today to come here. He stayed beside me, and showed me this entire village. It is very nice. When they say Jaggayapeta, I remembered Lord Jagannatha. How did the name Jaggayapeta come, can you tell me? The name Jagannatha, nowadays if you go to Bombay or Bangalore, gets shortened to “Jaggu”. Do you know this? As they cannot pronounce the full name Jagannatha, people say “Jaggu”. That Jaggu now has become Jaggaya. Jagannatha (Lord of the Universe) Himself is Jaggaya. Jaggayapeta means what? Jagannatha means Ranganatha. Jaggayapeta means Ranganatha’s village. In Ranganatha, “Ranga” means what? The arena or stage where any activity related to singing, dancing, drama, speeches, etc. takes place, we call it “rangamantapam”. The whole world is one “Rangamantapam” for God. Rangam means variety. In this world each and every individual is of a different variety. Every one’s face is different. Every one’s mind and expression are different. All are different in this world. This is a variety world.
For this world, God is “jagannaataka sutra dhari” (Puppet Master). For this world, God is the leader. So we call Him Ranganayaka. He is the leader of the world. He is leading all this drama. All this drama is in His hands. To that Swami’s Temple today we came, and had darshan. Very wonderful Alankaram (decoration) has been done to that Swami today. From this evening they will do Vishwaksena Aradhana and start the homa rituals. All the people in and around this village should take part in this Dhwaja Stambha event, and have the darshan of all these Sevas (religious rituals). May the grace of this Swami be with us always. This temple also should be developed more. Not only people from your village and from around this village, but let people from our entire country and from other countries also come here and have darshan of this Swami. I pray that all wishes come true to whoever comes and has darshan of this Swami. May this event take place without any obstacles.
Likewise, our ashram, Datta Peetham’s branch is also coming here soon. Whatever Swamiji has planned, and whichever deities should come to our temple here, according to that, the development of that ashram will take place.
At the time of Pushkara our Avadhoota Datta Peetham will also be here in Jaggayapeta. This is a very happy thing for all of us. For the donors of the land, and for all the devotees in this village who are in the path of Dharma let Swami’s blessings be with them all the time.
We are experiencing a very hot summer. Let the heat decrease and rains come within a short time. We pray for success, good health, and happiness for all farmers, businessmen, students, and all mothers, and fathers.
One yagashala construction should take place here. In a short time one big homa also will take place in this Krishna region. For the yagashala construction, whoever wants to do Seva, please contact our E.O. Mr. Subrahmanyam.
Very happy that this is near Khammam, it is 40 to 50 km; it is near Suryapet. Devotees also came from Guntur, Krishna District. It is like all districts have combined here, and it is near Telangana also. For all the Telugu speaking people, I felt that Jaggayapeta is a center point. Krishna region is like that. Let this temple develop more. Some of our Datta devotees from Nuziveedu, and Akividu came here. For all the people this temple is close by. All of you make an enquiry and take part in the development of this temple and earn the grace of Sadguru.
