Just now our Nadaswaram band have played a keerthana by title “Ramabhakti Samrajya”. You have heard it. And today GandiGunta has become Guru Bhakti Samrajyam [Kingdom of devotion towards Guru]. It has become the kingdom of devotion towards Rama and kingdom of devotion towards Hanuman. If in such a kingdom the emperor or ruler is our Sadguru Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, and we devotees are all the people and children ruled by Him, we are His disciples and devotees.
We are in a pious occasion together now. Every time this GandiGunta Kshetra is been visited or even remembered, a thought is recollected. It is the Vamanavatara event from Bhagavatam [Lord Vishnu taking form of Vamana, the 5th incarnation]. This Vamanavatara event is very special. The Lord incarnated as Vamana, the 5th incarnation of Lord Vishnu: Matsya, Koorma, Varaha, Naarasimha, Vamana. King Bali is conducting an Yaga and with intention of taking alms from king Bali, he incarnated, took permission from his mother and father, then visited the place where the Yaga is in progress. When Bali inquired about the wish of the Lord, He asked for a space dimensioning of 3 foot. SukraCharya Guru of Bali have realized the meaning of it and explained that three foot means nothing will be left for you. He will occupy everything and also suppress you by placing His feet on your head. Then Bali replied, “It’s okay, if I am giving and Lord Maha Vishnu is seeking alms, what is that I am going to lose nor gain ? Everything belongs to Him, so I will stand by my word and donate”. Then he intended to donate by saying “Dattam” that means I gave you. Once Bali gave the donation, the Lord started to grow in size in no time. This event is described in Bhagavatam written by Potana in Telugu language and we all know it well. Intintai — means just as we are observing, He grew in size, similarly our GandiGunta Asharama also grew from a small form to the current state. This is what I always think about this Asharam
intintai vaTuDintai mariyu daanintai nabhOveedhipai
nantai tOyada manDalAgramuna kallantai prabhArASipai
nantai chandrunikantai dhruvunipai nantai mahArvATipai
nantai satyapadOnnatunDaguchu brahmAnDAnta samvardhiyai
It has started in a very small place and for many people it’s a matter of surprise. It used to be the size of just a room and today it developed well. It is a stage for many events and it’s the reason for many people’s surprise. Some of them who don’t understand the philosophy of Sadguru, have asked Swamiji, “This place is really near to Vijayawada and there is already a Kshetra in Vijayawada and You are constructing one more here. How will this survive as its already near Vijayawada? If two Asharamas are nearby, it would be tough to organize and sustain both”. They are devotees but they are yet to understand the philosophy of Sadguru. They treat Sadguru as a human similar to any normal human being. They have not reached a state where they can envision that Sadguru is the form of the almighty.
Swamiji replied “Now your views are like this, but in future you will see how GandiGunta Ashrama would transform”. Now that word has come true. That’s why for normal people Sadguru might appear as a body made of flesh and blood, but when seen with devotion He will appear as “naravad drshyatE saiva Sri guruh papa karmaNam” and ” Shivavad drshyatE sAkshAt Sri guruh puNya karmaNam”. This is what GuruGita teaches. The same Guru appears as a normal human being for a few and the same Guru appears as the almighty for few. The reason is the merit and sin that we and our parents have accumulated. If we have committed a sin, then He would appear as a human and if we have the inclination of meritorious thought, He would appear as the almighty. There are many devotees in GandiGunta who treat their Guru as the almighty who walks around. That is the reason for this kshetram being blessed so much by Swamiji in my view. We have to protect that devotion. We should not let devotion wobble. It’s our responsibility to protect. Devotion is vital. In the Bhagavatam written by Vyasa, there is an occasion about guru’s grace.
“GuroranugraheNaiva puman poorNaha prajayate” Puman means a being, and if he has the complete grace of his Guru, not just a human being any living being in this world, if lacks Guru’s grace, it cannot attain the completeness. Only the grace of Guru can make them attain the state of being complete.
There is one more occasion, in the same Bhagavatam. It is described as a conversation between Guru and His disciple. Guru Vashista once got annoyed with His disciple who is an emperor. I don’t recollect the name right now, maybe his name is Vrushadhya. Sage Vashista curses him, the disciple who is a king didn’t got angry with Guru for cursing him. Instead, he said “I will win over this curse, I don’t bother even if you have cursed me”, Guru asked “how will you win? You are cursed by Guru”. He replied “my Guru is angry with me but His grace is still on me, so I can win”. This is a peculiar dialog. Isn’t it surprising? Even if Guru is not there, His grace can make the King win over the curse? That means that the grace of the Guru has such power! That’s why we cannot become complete without such grace.
What is the poornatvam — that means remaining complete. Many people these days say I am incomplete without certain things, similarly we are born and while leaving we have to leave by being complete. We have come here in an incomplete form. It’s in a way an incomplete life. Why did we get this birth? It has come in the form of a chance to make life complete, and get to the state of poornatva. If a half filled pot is of no use, it should be filled till brim, as the adage goes “Nindu Kunda ToNakadu [Telugu]” [A pot filled till brim don’t spill or move].
That completeness is bestowed by Guru, “Puman Poornaha Prajayate” [Sanskrit].
Guru bestows the completeness as we have to return in fullness, else we would have to take another birth. We have to endure lot of pains and difficulties and all these becomes a cycle.
If this has to be told in a simple sense to make children understand, it’s like again attending school, again going to college, again going to university, again thinking of marks, again studying mathematics. Thinking of which we would say “no not again”. If they think of mathematics they would say “let’s not take a birth again”, if they think of physics they would say “let’s not take a birth again”, if they think of science they would say “let’s not take a birth again”, everything else is acceptable for them.
That is why the completeness is the thing for which we have to pray. How will it be bestowed to us? It’s bestowed only by the grace of Guru. There is no other option. Only with Guru’s grace, it’s obtained. Eva is the a word they use in Sanskrit language that means, its only possibility of attaining and there is no other known alternative.
Then how is the grace of Guru be obtained? Is it obtained for free or is it available in market? It depends on the deeds we do, depending on our virtue. How willing are we to sacrifice is also accounted. Our conduct is also considered. Quality of speech, even if we are talking to ourselves or talking in public, is also taken into consideration. Is our tone of speech hurting others? Or are we speaking in a way where people are happy to listen? Does our speech move someone or is it going in vain? Is it making others sob or is it making them merry that speech? This is also a base for the grace of Guru to be bestowed on us.
How should we speak? How should we act? How are the customs we follow and what kind of deeds we do? What are we thinking and what is the action resulting? How is our conduct and how far can we sacrifice? Do we possess the quality of donating? How are our virtues? These are considered. While guru’s grace is bestowed it’s not bestowed for free. If we develop these qualities in us, His grace will automatically be bestowed on us.
If it rains on the hill, the river will automatically flow, full of water. Nothing else is needed for the river and no one can stop the water from reaching the river, as it follows the path and flows down all by itself. No one can stop the water. Likewise, if we practice the qualities, then Guru’s grace is automatically bestowed.
How would we get the inclination to practice? This would be another question not all would have such inclination, sacrifice, good virtues, conduct and good speech, doing good deeds. All these things are not born by themselves. How would they be found in us? Again it’s the grace of Guru that we get such inclination.
The point we have to understand is these two are interlinked, the deeds we do, the words we speak, our inclination towards sacrifice, willingness to donate and good virtue. These things are related to the grace of Sadguru and the grace of Sadguru are linked with these qualities. That is why both are always together. If we practice the qualities, grace would be bestowed and as we are graced, our practice would get strong. Hence these are interlinked. This is what Bhagavatam teaches us.
To bestow such grace, Swamiji instructed to organize many events, “do this kind of Seva, it is enough, do these deeds, it would help” is what Swamiji says.
Many people don’t even attend the events that are organized in Mysuru Ashrama, because if they attend in Mysuru, who will conduct DattaJayanti here? Who will organize ShivaRatri if we go there? Who will celebrate Swamiji birthday if we go to Mysuru? Who will look over Navaratri if we go to Mysuru? How we will perform HanumadJayanti? Thinking like this, many of the trustees, MatruMandali members are Volunteers. They are scarifying and doing seva in GandiGunta ashrama now and even in future such people will be there forever due to Swamiji’s grace.
Swamiji is not permitting anyone to construct a new temple. In GandiGunta Asharama SubbaRao Garu and other trustees have come together and were praying Swamiji for many years now. For a Hanuman temple, Swamiji instructed “You people don’t need Anjaneya Swami now, Do Hanuman Chalisa Parayana. I have given you Datta”.
GandiGunta Janapade DattaDigambara Devam.
Swamiji continued “Datta Digambara Swamiji have been bestowed to you. Continue your services to Him. Envision Anjaneya in him and also see mother goddess in him. You can see all the forms of gods and goddess you wish in him as I am there in form DattaDigambara Swami”.
They have asked Swamiji many times, but once Swamiji ordered them, from then they are following the instruction and are serving DattaDigambara Swami as all the gods and goddess.
Starting from Tenali Swamiji have started Hanuman Chalisa Chanting Yagnam. Some of the Ashramas have realized the power in Hanuman Chalisa and continued in the chanting of Chalisa, but some failed to realize soon. Later everyone realized. Now the whole world understood the power and all are singing Chalisa along with Swamiji. But from the very beginning, from the time when Swamiji instructed the first time, may it be 10 people or 100 people, or even 1000 devotees are joining and chanting without interruption. Not just doing it, they are sending photos of the event to Mysuru Asharama. After observing such intent, maybe Swamiji’s grace have reached GandiGunta Asharama quickly and as a result today Anjaneya consecration is being done here.
Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Swamiji was introduced by Valmiki in Sundarakanda of Ramayana. He is Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Swami. He says “I am going on Rama’s mission, crossing the sea and I will return with success”. This is the oath taken by Hanuman himself, so he is named as Karyasiddhi Hanuman, Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Swami.
Valmiki delivered it in form of words to us, and for the first time that Karyasiddhi Anjaneya is bestowed to the world as an idol by our Sadguru Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji.
Nowhere else we would see Karyasiddhi Anjaneya or Karyasiddhi Hanuman. We call him by many other names, like Abhayanjaneya Swami, Veeranjaneya Swami, Daasanjaneya Swami, Bhaktanjaneya Swami, Prasannanjaneya Swami. Likewise there are many forms and names of Hanuman being used to praise him, but the Karyasiddhi Hanuman name is only found in Dattapeetham, because the Karyasiddhi success of our desires is vital to all us and it’s a need for us. Once our desires are fulfilled, we would get rid of all difficulties and we will develop better devotion. We can praise him better and be in the righteous path. Everyone wants the fulfilment of their desires and being selfless is not easy.
Everyone would have a pinch of selfishness, but in devotees, that selfishness don’t take a negative shade.
What is this negative selfishness, when one wishes that he alone should be happy. It’s negative selfishness.
But devotees would say, not just me, but all other around me should also be well. Such selfishness is not harmful. Such a selfishness should increase in us and everyone would have a desire about one or other thing. Like, education of the children, marriage of children, or those who married should have their children, such wishes and desires are common. Wishing for good health, financial stability. “What else is there Swamiji ? You have listed everything here” can be your notion. These are all common wishes in everyone. How can someone exists without these desires? such desires are common in everyone and such desires would be fulfilled by Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Swami, that’s why we come to pray him. What else would be the reason?
But, the devotion would mold a devotee in such a way. This can be observed in many Datta Devotees too. They come with a desire and those would be fulfilled. Not that they are not fulfilled. Everyone has an experience of fulfilment of desires. Even if their desires are not fulfilled, thinking of those desires, they don’t scratch their head, take tensions, feel sorrow and sob, decide that if this desire is not fulfilled, there is nothing else in my life. They surpass such a state and they instead say even if this desire is not fulfilled, its acceptable. Datta devotees reach this state by grace of Guru. But it’s not usually, because if desires are fulfilled, then there is praising and if they are not fulfilled, then there is scolding. It’s an immature state of mind. One shouldn’t have such state of mind in front of God, because when it comes to the almighty, it’s not a business that works. It’s a relation that is irreplaceable. Our lifeline is connected with Him.
How is that irreplaceable relation understood? Do you know about umbilical cord? That is the kind of connection a foetus has with its mother. What’s the relation, it’s the source of breath and food for the foetus. Our intellect and thoughts are also related through the umbilical cord. It’s not a simple relation.
The way a foetus is connected through the umbilical cord with its mother, every devotee has a relation with God and Guru. Many devotees are like that. That alone is working. In our case, it’s not a relation that can be given up by will. That’s the relation shared with God and in such a relation it’s not that one approaches for fulfilling the desires.
After coming here we are all experiencing a kind of happiness, and we get transcended to another world. Just now we heard Ramabhakti Samrajyam. In that Kingdom of devotion towards Rama we are all in a festive environment. All are happy. “Why would we be worried about small desires, let them be unfulfilled at the right time”. Such a notion is not easy to have. It’s not usual too.
There are many people who would scold and sob if their desires are not fulfilled but those who feel otherwise, are limited and they have the true devotion. Such devotion would make us complete and such a state is bestowed upon us without asking and even without knowing, only because of our Sadguru.
With grace of such Sadguru we are today consecrating the Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Swami. The Yantra pratishta is finished this morning in a very good lagna [astrological timing related to position of planets and their alignment with zodiac signs] and pious time. Now we would place the Hanuman in the temple.
Swamiji have sent the idol which was earlier used in His Pooja. This idol has received prayers from Swamiji. For normal people it might appear like a stone, but for those with devotion it kindles a dialog with god. He blesses them, He walked up to us, He is in our heart, He is at our home, is the feeling with which a devotee lives.
This can be explained to any extent but it has to be felt and then only be experienced. It’s understood only with devotion. Let’s pray that such a devotion should increase in us.
When Swamiji was asked “what is the kind of Mantra that has to be used in the pratishta time of the Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Swami?” Swamiji blessed with a special mantra, which was not given anywhere else till now. It was not bestowed anywhere else. But Swamiji ordered to unveil it in GandiGunta Asharama, that’s why the new mantra is being told now.
We usually listen to this mantra in Ramanayana,
Twamasmin Karyaniroge Pramanam Hari Sattama
Hanuman Yatna maasthaya duhkah kshyakaro bhava
This is the mantra with which Sitamma prayed to Hanuman in Sundarakanda. This mantra took birth from the prayer of mother goddess. It’s a very special mantra and it has been our breath for long time. All are chanting it for 18-28-108 times and also it’s getting results as well. In case of ill health of someone at home, or during exams of children or for those who are awaiting to get married, in many occasions this mantra is being used to get results.
We can see this mantra in Sundarakanda. Even prior to this, mother goddess in the 35 Sarga has told another great mantra. That mantra should be unveiled in GandiGunta Asharama to all devotees. From now on all Datta Devotees can use the new mantra as well and they should use the new mantra as well. It is the order, instruction and blessing of our Sadguru Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji.
Now let’s remind that mantra and proceed to the Kumbhabhishekam program. We will witness the poornahuti, everyone chant now.
Twamasmin Karya niryoge pramanam hari sattama
Raghavastwatsamarambhat mayiyatnaparobhavet.
Raghavaha twat samarambhat mayiyatnaparobhavet
mayi yatnaparo bhavet
This is the maha mantra mother goddess used when she prayed to Anjaneya Swami. While chanting this mantra, everyone should witness the Kumbhabhishekam. It is the instruction of Swamiji. Everyone should follow the instruction and chant this mantra. if someone wants to write it down, proceed.
Raghavaha twat samarambhat
Raghavastwatsamarambhat mayiyatnaparobhavet
Twamasmin Karyaniryoge Pramanam Hari Sattama
Raghavastwatsamarambhat mayiyatnaparobhavet
This mantra has, Raghavaha twat samarambhat. Twamasmin Karyaniryoge Pramanam Hari Sattama, this part is common in both the mantras. Twamasmin Karyaniryoge, oh! lord, you came and saw me and now I am still alive, take this news to Rama, and bring Him here. Once He comes here, will He kill Ravana or forgive him? Or would Ravana’s mind change? It is up to Rama to decide.
Finally help me in overcoming this difficulties and from this Lanka. You are responsible for the same. Twamasmin Karyaniroge Pramanam Hari Sattama. You are the witness, as you have seen me here chanting Rama nama [name of Rama]. Nothing apart from Rama is a matter for me. I cannot eat or sleep before seeing Rama. You have witnessed all this here,. You are the witness. Pramanam Hari Sattama, Hanuman Yathna maasthaya dhukhah kshyakaro bhava. Oh Hanuman, Yanthna maasthaya, please put your effort for me, as there is not an impossible task once you have the willingness to do it. Duhkah kshyakaro bhava, let my difficulties be diminished, and be removed. This is the mantra we have used.
And in the other mantra, they say, Raghavaha Raghave is Rama, one who is born in Raghu vmasha [lineage of Raghu], Ramachanndra Swami, Raghavaha twat samarambhat. With the deed you are going to do, you have crossed the sea and saw me again. You will go back with chudamani and the deed of crossing the sea. Once you do it and tell Rama, He will listen to you and mayiyatnaparobhavet, for me, He will think “Alas Sita is in great difficulties”. With affection for me, with an intent to protect and rescue me, to console me and to get me out of this difficulty. This would be his intent, mayiyatnaparobhavet. He will put some effort in my case. You can let Rama’s resolution be kindled towards me, that is my prayer to you.
What should we infer? We pray to Anjaneya. We pray him the way Sita Amma prayed him. Saying, let us be blessed with the grace of Sri Rama through you, Raghavastwatsamarambhat. You tell him as you are always next to him. On behalf of us, to the RamaChandra, to SitaRama, on behalf of us, convey our wishes and desires. This is the prayer through this mantra.
Raghavaha twatsamarambhat mayi yatnaparobhavet.
In my case Rama’s grace should be bestowed. This is the prayer to Anjaneya. This is meaning of the mantra. Write it down.
Twamasmin Karyaniroge Pramanam Hari Sattama
Raghavastwatsamarambhat mayiyatnaparobhavet
Raghavastwatsamarambhat mayiyatnaparobhavet
if we tell 10 times we can learn now itself. It’s not difficult to learn. Once we hear Sanskrit, we scratch our head, saying we cannot understand Sanskrit. If we concentrate and listen it’s simple and easy to learn, because Sanskrit is the mother tongue to all our mother tongues. If we tell for 5 times we can learn.
Raghavastwatsamarambhat mayiyatnaparobhavet

You are good students and have learnt it now, you have got 100/100 marks and have chanted well. It’s not at all difficult. Now BhagavadGita is being learned by many kids. Is learning one slokam difficult ? Even elders are learning BhagavadGita, even those of 70-80 years age are learning BhagavadGita by heart and are chanting in the presence of Swamiji. Then can’t we learn this small slokam ?
Swamiji have bestowed this as a Maha Mantra to all. Please chant it as many times as possible today. All of you should be bestowed with grace of Anjaneya completely and all your sorrows and difficulties should be ward off. All your good-desires should be fulfilled by his grace, is the prayer.
In the construction of this temple, even the Navagraha temple that has come up, all those who have participated in the construction of the temple, all those and their families, proclaiming that they should have the complete blessings of the Swami.
As per schedule today after the trip should continue towards Eluru, but in the view of your devotion, and the dedication you have in Swamiji and as instructed by Swamiji you have built the Karyasiddhi Anjaneya Swami temple, let’s all chant Hanuman Chalisa together for 11 times this evening. Everyone should attend without fail. Let’s chant Hanuman. Let the count be any number. The more count we have, it will benefit all of us. 10,000 or 100,000 let us try the most number of times possible.
“Yah Shatavaar pathata kara koi” [Brij language], if we chant together it would be shata [100] sahasra [1000] shata sahasra [100000], and the count grows on and protects all of us. Everyone come in the evening and chant Hanuman Chalisa.
Further, all those who are witnessing this Kumbhabhishekam today, would have a responsibility. What would that be? At least once in a week, or once in a month, once in two months, once in three months, once in six months, at least once in a year, you all should visit the temple and have the Darshan of Anjaneya Swami. This is your responsibility, will you do it ?
You should do it, this is for those who are witnessing today’s Kumbhabhishekam. They will have the responsibility as Swami would see you all for the first time. When he see us, we should also protect the temple. We should know about the programs that would happen in the temple. The construction and consecration are easy, but maintaining the temple is tough. Maintaining the temple is vital. You should know about the rewarding of the priests in temple, and the money needed for the regular services of temple. Also participate in the maintenance of temple.
Shashwata Pooja will be available. Your birthday or wedding anniversary or any special day, Pooja would be performed on your name. On name of Nita Shaswata pooja they are arranging the service. So enrol your names for that, so that once a year, a Pooja will be performed in your name. You are all participating in today’s program and proclaiming that, let you all be blessed with Anjaneya Swami grace.
Let’s proceed to poornahuti, its visible to all as the space is wide enough. it can be viewed from different sides as you are all known people so stand accordingly. But do not push each other as there will be kids and old people. Don’t push in a hurry. You can stand in the possible place and witness poornahuti, and proceed for Darshan of Kumbhabhishekam. Lets all pray our Sadguru Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji in our hearts. Swamiji is right now in Malaysia, even then we should think He is with us, and with the same feeling let’s witness Kumbhabhishekam.
